I am extremely disappointed with my experience at The Willow at Expo Park, particularly my move-in…read moreprocess. My move-in was delayed by three days because my apartment was not made ready as promised, despite repeated reassurances from the leasing office that everything was prepared. When I was finally given access, the apartment was still dirty, including mold and cobwebs present in the refrigerator. There was dog hair and human hair throughout all flooring and embedded in the washer and dryer units that residents are required to keep in the apartment. Although the unit was cleaned multiple times, it was never brought to an acceptable standard. Additionally, maintenance was required to address necessary repairs shortly after move-in. During this process, my apartment was damaged. Management advised that someone would be sent to fix the damage; however, there has still been no resolution or follow-up. I was also provided with the incorrect storage key after being assured everything was ready for move-in. This mistake delayed my movers from completing the job and resulted in over $800 in additional moving costs due to exceeded time. Most concerning is that upper management has made no meaningful effort to rectify these mistakes. Instead of taking responsibility or making things right to retain a new resident, they chose to release me from my lease. I am now having to scramble to find a new apartment and repack all of my belongings after only a week of being a resident at the complex. I was genuinely looking forward to living at this property, as the apartment itself is beautiful and the location is desirable. Other resident reviews had a lot of great things to say, but it seems as though I'm catching the short end of the stick as all employees mentioned in other reviews are no longer with the company and the replacements seem to care less. Unfortunately, the lack of accountability and responsibility management has shown for their mistakes has left a bad taste and created a very poor first impression as a new resident. I would not recommend this property to anyone looking for a management team that truly cares about its residents.

My apartment has flooded three times due to clear negligence from maintenance and staff, causing extensive damage to my personal property. I've had to replace ruined belongings out of my own pocket, and despite repeated attempts, I have received no meaningful response from management. On top of that, my car was towed while parked in my assigned spot with the original parking tag displayed. I was never notified and had to pay the impound fees myself. My A/C was out for a total of two weeks in the Texas heat and at one point, my apartment backed up with dirt due to the A/C system not functioning properly--requiring me to pay to have my apartment professionally cleaned. Between the repeated flooding, broken appliances, unresponsive management, and the blatant lack of accountability, I cannot in good faith recommend living here to anyone. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and unexpected expenses--look elsewhere.

In October of last year, I moved to the DFW area from out of state. I ended up choosing Foxborough…read moreas a place of residence mainly because of reviews I found on Yelp, Google, and Apartments.com. It seemed good enough, but I regret that choice. I don't often write reviews, but I've relied on them myself in the past, so I hope my review only helps others by providing the truth. We all know that opinions are subjective, which is why I've attached plenty of photos as proof of what I experienced. The pictures don't lie, and basically say what I can't. I moved from out of state and was naturally concerned because I basically made the decision to go with a place before ever having viewed the unit I would be living in. I only did that because of the cost. It was too expensive and time consuming to fly back and forth, or drive for that matter, from where I was living previously to the DFW in order to do the kind of apartment searching I really wanted to. From the beginning, the application process was lackluster. I don't feel I was given good communication at all. I worked with Jackie S. I think on almost every occasion, I was the one who reached out to her for either a status update or question about what to expect next. That was the first red flag, but foolishly I dismissed it. When I did arrive on the day I was to move in, the unit was not ready. I met with Jackie, who did not call me at all that day or the days leading up to it, and we went to the apartment to do a walk through. The apartment was not as described. I was told all first level units had no carpet, but this old one did still have carpet in the master bedroom (it was a 1 bedroom unit), and it was soaking wet. There was still tape left over in many areas they had been painted over, mainly the bathroom. Their cleaning crew had not yet cleaned the place. I knew by the look on Jackie's face that she had never taken the time to walk the unit herself just to make sure everything was ready. This put me in a really bad spot. I had driven for over 13 hours from another state, I only had a week off from work for the move, and all my stuff was storage, which was a lifesaver actually!! (it would have been far worse if I had arrived with a moving truck and movers on the day of moving just for it to not be ready). I needed things to get resolved quickly. I expressed my concerns before signing, and was basically told something like "look you can sign today, and we'll take care of everything that needs addressing, and we can just credit you for the time that it takes to address those things." I was not totally alone in my move, I came with my 2 dogs. I had to start working again the following week, which thankfully I can do remotely, so I agreed and we continued the process. The first night I was there, THERE WERE COCKROACHES EVERYWHERE! This unit was infested with cockroaches, which you can see in the photos. There was an infestation, which you can tell from the fact that many baby cockroaches were present. That was the last straw. I took the "condition report" they gave me and documented everything that was not acceptable. I told them I wanted it taken care of, wanted to be reimbursed for the time it wasn't ready, the cost to stay elsewhere, and wouldn't stay there until it was. The manager, Jackie F., was just as indifferent as her employee. I stayed in a hotel for 3 nights to allow time for them to correct everything. During that time, they still were not communicating much at all. At that point I had had enough, I used those 3 days to find another place near by that was slightly more expensive, but was far better in every way. I spoke with management about reimbursement, and I did finally receive reimbursement for what I paid to Foxborough, but not for the hotel expenses I incurred for those 3 nights. I was furious. I spent almost $400 on that just because they didn't care and didn't do their job. Bottom line - if you've read all of this, I highly recommend not moving here. P.S. All the videos I have that show multiple cockroaches in one recording are too large to upload.
