Renewing for year 3 here was a no brainer! I would like to start with a huge shoutout to the entire maintenance team here at the Lofts. I seriously can't say enough good things about them! They're the kind of people who don't just get things done--they make this place feel like home. Frank and Martha especially always find a way to brighten my day. Whether it's a quick chat, a warm smile, or just their positive energy anytime I run into them! And I cannot leave out Joy, Brian, and Joe from leasing office too--they make living here so fun with all the events and care they put into the community!! I LOVE living here!!! The amenities are amazing - gym, pool, kickboxing, restaurants, movie theater, my church meets inside the movie theater, yoga, dance studio - literally EVERYWHERE I need to go in Dallas is just a few steps away!! All of the staff are the nicest people ever, maintenance is super fast & my loft is so dreamy. Neighbors are friendly too, we actually hang around the pool in the summertime & do house parties every now & then. Love that they also have lockers for packages because I've had packages stolen before other places I've lived & now I don't have to worry about that. I also feel super safe with all the security patrolling the property. The only downside to this property is it's noisy if you live on the DART + dog park side. My neighbors across the hall told me their side is quiet & fortunately, transfers are easy so I'm moving to that side before my lease is even up - love how flexible the leasing agents are! :) This is THE best place to live in Dallas & I'm so glad I chose Lofts at Mockingbird Station for my home. I currently live here and the customer service here is fantastic. If I ever need anything they are quick to respond and quick to resolve. There's always someone at the front desk (during their hours of course) but it goes a long way that you don't have to chase anyone down. Maintenance calls are dealt with immediately (incredible!) The building is old so it has old quirks. Like my HVAC duct is exposed and super loud but you kind of get used to it. I have floor to ceiling windows (amazing) but they let the hot or cold through and leak sometimes. Love the concrete and rustic vibes. Lastly - if you have a dog MOVE HERE. your animals is treated like royalty and there's an area for them to run around right out the back door and a park a quick walk away. read more

This is a great location with wonderful amenities. The unit we rented was decent and our student lived here for 2+ years. The 'brutalist' design of the unit may not be to everyone's liking, but that is the style of these lofts. The only minor issues were the lighting (or lack of) and the exterior noises (morning leafblowers, dumpsters being dumped/roaring trucks, DART, etc.). And I must say that over the past couple of years, the common areas of this place have really improved. We noticed that the elevators were cleaner and the trash chutes were better maintained. Everyone in the management office has been great/easy to deal with. Very responsive, if an issue needs to be addressed. The entire staff was friendly and professional. Jonathon (?hope that I got his name right), is a person who was exceptionally kind to us as we were moving out. Overall, our student enjoyed a safe and secure living environment while attending university, which gave us peace of mind. read more

Great place to live! Friendly staff and maintenance team. The leaf blower outside my window every morning at 7 am is reaaalllyyyy getting old. Also the people who live here are rude and disgusting there is currently dog poop going down my hallway on the way to the elevators. If you're going to have a pet be ready to clean up after YOUR pet. Nobody ever returns the carts for taking groceries all the way upstairs. One time I was standing at the elevator and this guy was there with his dog and his dog just started peeing everywhere and he looks at me and says "uh should I call somebody?" Like he was about to leave the pile of piss there! I told him no I would just go ahead and clean it up. Then he decided oh yea that might be a good idea and went to get stuff to clean it. Lived here for a few years and hated it. The mockingbird station is next to the Dart so there are homeless people wandering around. The dog pee area REEKS! (Especially in the summer!) There are much nicer apartments to live in in the surrounding area. Joy the manager there is rude, unprofessional and bitter. Looks somewhere else... read more

I love this community because they are always so friendly and welcoming, they are pretty fast and stay on top of things. The environment is amazing with walking distance to Katy trail, plenty of shops, great dining choices, security that watches the premises 24/7 and of course a starbucks right next to the leasing office. I was in a 2 br and wanted to switch to a 1br due to my brother leaving and the process was super easy with no hiccups, i toured several different apartments with no problem. The entire staff is friendly never had an issue, and they are extremely welcoming to dogs, should be called "dogs at mockingbird station". Overall 10/10 recommend. I showed up 5 minutes early for my appointment, and the person offering tours tells me that another couple just walked in asking for a tour, so I'll have to come back in 30 minutes...even though I had an appointment. Let's start by saying majority of the people are RUDE and Disgusting with their attitude. The hallways and elevators smells dirty most of the time. People don't return the grocery carts downstairs so we have to figure out how to bring our stuff upstairs!. Management is NOT pet friendly. They were not helpful at problem solving couple of issue that we had. I don't recommend this place at all!. just moved into 239 - a nice larger place, so I will comment on the "process". Could not have been better. The management staff was very available and efficient. Helped me pick just the right and it is really nice. A real urban feel with loads of entertainment and places to eat all a few steps away. A large underground parking garage with direct internal access to the apartments. Love the loft layout with open plan - upstairs huge bedroom, huge closet and nice bathroom. Floor to ceiling huge windows with nice city views. Dog friendly with a large out door area for them to go to. DART train across the street. Movie theater and health club also across street plus Starbucks and nice stores and eateries. And again - the staff went above and beyond in being helpful and accessible. read more

Sadly that has become the norm, lets just admit that's pretty much a legalized scam. But as long as that doesn't bother you you will love living here. read more

I'm very happy here. It's so convenient to restaurants and shopping. I typically don't have to go far, I walk to the gym. The lofts we spacious and modern with fantastic ceilings. Bad experience all around, Michelle lied multiple times about leasing terms. I moved to Dallas from out of state and flew down a few weeks before I was going to move to look at potential apartments, and settled on Lofts at Mockingbird station because of the industrial style, great location, and most importantly, the great short-term / lease cancellation terms (or so I was told). So I agreed and put down a deposit. After driving for over 16 hours I arrive to find out that the cancellation terms are not what I had been told. I had been told that it was 60 days notice if you want out of your lease and that's it! No extra fees or anything else. I thought this sounded too good to be true, so I clarified "60 days notice and nothing else? No cancellation fees or anything" "nope, just 60 days notice" said Michelle (which was a lie). I checked this at least 3 more times because I thought it sounded too good to be true, and each time, she assured me it was just 60 days notice, and that's it! But, after driving for 16 hours, you just want to move the bare essentials in and go to sleep, so I signed the lease with a short term rental clause (which was over $300 more per month than I was quoted by Michelle because she lied to me). I know that in a way it's my mistake because I signed it even though the signs were there, but I had a car full of stuff and just wanted to go to sleep. Had I known how much worse it was going to get I would've just gotten a hotel or slept in the car. Literally the second night there, I had to call the police because sounds of murder were coming from two floors above me. I thought a man was killing his girlfriend, and told the police as much. Turns out it was several adults who got too drunk, and tried to beat each other up, and then one of them (badly bleeding) tried to jump out of their window. This left enough blood on my patio that a crime scene cleaner had to be called. Additionally, my washer and dryer were broken when I first moved it, and it took about two weeks to get a new one in, so I had to take my laundry to a laundromat for the first two weeks of my new job (with no recompense on the part of management). Additionally, this whole time I had to call to ask about where they were every time their self imposed deadline was passed "It'll be there by the end of the week!" "Hey where's my washer and dryer?" "Oh they had some supply issues, it'll be there by Wednesday for sure!" "Hey where's my washer?" etc. At the end of the second week I spoke to management about the lease term lies, broken washer, and the crime scene on my patio, and asked to be let out of my lease, because it was just a bad situation all around. They refused, which I understand, they're just the management company, and the owner doesn't give a damn if the tenants are having a horrible time, they just care if they're getting paid. For what it's worth Travis and Halston were both very helpful and understanding and tried to make all the crap I went through right to the best of their ability. I ended up moving out a month and a half before my lease was up and just paying rent on two places because that was better than living there any more. Additionally, it's really loud constantly. It's primarily rented by SMU frat guys, which is fine, but if you're not into that kind of lifestyle, you're going to get sick of the noise really fast. If you've made it through reading this entire review, then please don't lease there. They lied and screwed me out of almost $5000 in 3 months while I was in the worst living situation I've ever been in. read more

I just moved here not too long ago. One of my biggest selling points is management of the property. The staff are catered to take care of your needs and definitely satisfied mine. I needed to move in last minute and they did everything in their ability to make that happen. I was a hassle at first because I was a little indecisive on which unit I liked best but they were super cool about it and walked me through everything. Oh and one early morning I was running late for work and couldn't grab breakfast and out of no where, they were giving out tacos from Taco Cabana in the lobby before you can get into the parking garage! Saved me that morning lol. Not to mention, parking isn't bad either. Theres plenty to share. read more

This place has the potential for 5 stars. It feels as swanky as it looks on the outside. There's everything you'd look for in loft living; exposed vents, high ceilings, large windows, The Bachelor Sean Lowe as your neighbor (who has since moved out), etc. The lofts are spacious and trendy, and there's a beautiful pool and hot tub (although it was frequently closed due to SMU kids breaking glass bottles...or possibly pooping in the pool). If you didn't happen to come across the poop, you could be sure to be standing in the hallway or elevator next to a puddle of dig piss. If you were interested in ever using the small gym, one or two of the three treadmills would be out of commission. Residents also park multiple vehicles in the garage or take up two spaces for their crappy mustangs. Really? The Range Rover and Audi are being more considerate than you. There was one yellow BMW covered in dust that sat in the primo parking spot closest to the elevator for the entire year we lived there. Hello management? Also, we could never seem to get the paint fume smell out of the apartment, and while the apartment was renovated with new appliances, everything was poorly installed. It was also hard to hang anything with any weight up on the drywalls backed by metal studs. The worst part was moving out. You'd think a nice place would not be in the business of taking security deposits, but Mockingbird management is. Did a walk though prior the move out date with management and they basically said we needed to pay them $100 for a deep clean to ensure the return of our full $500 security deposit. Fine, that's reasonable if it ensures no additional charges. I pointed out where we had spackled the few places we tried to hang things and made it very clear we wanted no additional charges. And yet, a few weeks later we received a bill with charges for stained carpets, holes in the wall, etc. Not only did the charges add up to our full security deposit, we owed money. Called management and still haven't received the pictures as proof of these stains and holes, but I'm paying it anyway. read more

I moved into the Loft since November of last year and really love this place. I mainly picked this place for the location and the Loft style apartment. Starbucks, restaurants, shops, movie theater, bars, Kroger, etc. are within walking distance so I rarely have to drive. The loft-style is spacious. I like how the bedroom is secluded, but open. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. This place has been my favorite place to live in Dallas and I'm not moving out until I am ready to buy a house. read more

I will never be able to express just how thankful I am for finding The Lofts at Mockingbird Station and signing a lease with them. These are not just apartments. They are home!!! Each unit is completely unique and one of a kind. You're sure to find one that fits for you, your pets and loved ones! The Lofts are completely different from any other complex in and around Dallas. They have kept some of the original architecture from when the building was the Southwestern Bell Company, including brick walls, concrete pillars, and other cool, industrial features. It almost feels like being in NYC! There are tons of restaurants and stores that I utilize all the time and having a Starbucks right downstairs is pretty amazing to say the least. There's also a movie theater and a couple of fitness studios whether you're into kick-boxing or yoga or anything in between. The BEST part about living at The Lofts is the STAFF! Austin, Holly, Bryan, and Joy (just to name a few amazing ones) are the COOLEST and MOST HELPFUL leasing agents and managers EVER!! Austin took my mom and I on a tour and we both just fell in love with the place and never looked anywhere else after! I really enjoy meeting new people and The Lofts team are always putting on fun and free events for their residents because they really care and want to show their appreciation! I'm so happy to be able to call The Lofts my home and will definitely be renewing my lease once this one is up. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind apartment/loft/studio in the Dallas area with a great location, perfect staff, and amazing amenities then this is THE PLACE. 10/10:) read more

Super nice staff here and the residents are all friendly. We have been living here for almost a year now and our lease will be up the end of February. So we were planning on moving elsewhere because we wanted a balcony and other specs and also save for our future home. Haven and Travis insisted us to stay and they worked together to find us the perfect spot and location to accommodate our needs. Now we will be signing another lease, moving upstairs with a balcony, and the best part we don't have to worry about the hassle of moving anywhere else. I love it here! The amenities and location are hard to beat! The management is super helpful & I love having around the clock security. Maintenance is always efficient and they are even super nice to our dogs when they visit. We love our space and all that it provides. Plus, there are so many different floor plans to choose from that it is hard not to find more than one space you will love. We found a loft apartment here online for my daughter who moved to Dallas for a new job. The agents in the leasing office (Alicia and Austin) were incredibly helpful and easy to work with. The unit was just as nice as the photos suggest. We couldn't be happier with the complex. Very safe and clean. The office regularly emails regarding activities and issues of importance to residents. Let me start out by saying my husband and I have lived here for 5 years. When we moved in it was managed by ZRS. Now, since last October, it's managed by Lincoln. What drew us to the Lofts is that it's a concrete building so we don't hear our neighbors. Moving from a home in So. Cal to an apartment in Dallas, that was a big concern. However, since this property is now 15 years old, you'd think that cleanliness would be a priority since they can't compete with what seems like a new mega boutique apartment complex being opened every month in either Uptown or Downtown. ZRS had a full time cleaning staff that kept this place spotless. Lincoln? Not at all. The floors are dirty, the carpets are rarely vacuumed and trash piles outside the trash chutes on nearly a daily basis leaving the area sticky and smelly. Lincoln has shown us that they lack the initiative to keep the Lofts clean and smelling nice. If you can't be the newest game in town, try being the cleanest. I've made a couple of phone calls to their corporate office but all they do is send it back to the community. No one calls me or addresses the cleanliness issues. ZRS used to pressure wash the entrance to the lobby (the walkway has a Starbucks - which means lots of liquid spills) and wash the entrance from the garage parking to the building, but no longer does it. I've taken pictures so you can see all of the trash and the sticky, stained concrete that we have to walk through to and from our cars every day. We track this into the building.....daily. Why do we stay? Our space is amazing, we don't hear our neighbors and the convenience of having shopping and restaurants on the ground floor is incredibly convenient for these two middle-aged working professionals. But if you are expecting clean, well-maintained, non sticky, upkept floors and doors, entrances and lobbys...look elsewhere. Cleanliness is anything BUT a priority here. This may seem trivial to some people but I think it shows how Lincoln's corporate office values the property and with rampant vacancies currently sitting unleased, it would be a pretty easy cost-effective fix. read more

First off, there is never anywhere to park, and when there is you either get a ticket or your car gets broken into. The whole building always smells horrible from dogs and lack of good management, which is horrible. Never takes care of any problems I bring to management's attention, never respectful, always busy doing "something else" which probably mean nothing. There are just always problems with the building and construction is ceaseless, which is such a hassel and so loud. Horrible choice renting here I would never recommend. read more

We absolutely love our loft. My boyfriend Trevor and I searched everywhere for a dual-level industrial loft. As it turns out it's really hard to come by. We probably looked at 20+ apts. We came here the first time and fell in love with one of the penthouse models we looked at. At first they didn't have one available at the time were looking to move. But a huge shout out to the ladies in the leasing office (Michelle, Leah, and Angela) for keeping in contact with us and letting us know that there was one available in our price range, top floor, square feet, and most importantly at the time we needed to move. Even during the move-in process and after we settled in, they ensured we were happy with the place and that we got everything we were hoping. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this complex to anyone who is looking for a beautiful loft and wonderful hospitality! We made a video to show our appreciation. read more

Just moved in here not too long ago (8 mo) and already severely disappointed with the quality of the entire complex. While the location is stellar, the rest of the factors all have been falling short. It is hard to be happy in a place where there are constantly messes that aren't cleaned up, that cause the halls to smell most of the time. I am a huge animal fan, but the amount of pets does not help the noise problems or the smells most of the time. After a while it just gets really tiring inhaling an unwanted ammonia smell whenever I get to my floor. It doesn't take much effort to just keep a place clean and smelling nice, and I just have not seen the effort from the staff here or the other residents with animals to be considerate and take after their pets. On top of everything, I don't feel like my simple wants and needs are respected. Prime example being the terrible parking situation that we've been asking to fix, but clearly hasn't even been considered yet. I have almost had to pay fines multiple times because of the lack of parking. Overall there are more negative aspects of this complex than there are positives, has not been a good investment so far. read more
