I have been going here for well over 7 years now, driving all the way from Glendale Heights to go there. The place is extremely chill, with 3 other chairs in the shop, and there will always be some soccer on the tv. He's great with kids and will take the time to adjust any cuts if you point out something, without taking it personal. I was really liking how things were progressing with my length and needed a bit of shaping up so I made an appointment with Ashley. I showed her inspo pics with flowy length on the top and sides with a low taper in front of the ears (just barely above the sideburns) and a clean longer taper in the back. I didn't ask for anything overly complicated. As she finished the haircut and handed me the mirror to look, she said "I did the best I could but your hair is SO straight." Mind you one of the inspo pics I shared was an East Asian guy who had straight hair like me. She ended up buzzing my hair all the way up the side of my head into a severe undercut, where the longer hair on top stuck out in thin spikes. One side was cut differently than the other. The back was not tapered at all. I did not get the flow haircut I asked for, and I was devastated. I went home and tried to find a way to style this travesty of a haircut that could salvage it but there was no way. I texted pics to some friends and their responses were: "oh they did you dirty", and "who did this?? I'm ready to fight!" and "this is follicular malpractice!". I couldn't go out in public like this, so I ended up buzzing the top completely off, losing all of the length I spent so long growing out. I'm so mad that I spent over 45 bucks on one of worst haircuts I've ever gotten.

As I walked in, the previous appointment was just getting up from the chair and my appt time began on time, as it always does. The best thing about my Cut at Who's Next is that the owner, Ivan, is highly sought after because of his expertise and his discipline. He's a great barber, he's very detailed and runs his barber shop the same way. His schedule is full 90% of the time and his appointments are required . But once you're on the schedule be on time because time is of essence here. I've been going to Who's Next for years now and if I have an early appointment ( which is usually during the warmer months) because many clients schedules require early appointments to begin their days , or later in the day , the shop is buzzing with someone sitting in all the chairs with the different barbers and their clients /appointments. The shop is always kept very clean, is very well lit, always updated to keep up with modern styles and , music videos playing off the large screen above playing music and or broadcasting sports. If you don't want to sit in the work area waiting for your appointment, step into the back lounge and sit on the sofa or bar stools & watch videos, or watch sports while you have coffee at the bar. Ivans clientele range in all different ages & kids seem to love this barber as well. Payment is accepted via Zelle and of course cash.
