Cute interior, with some counter seating.

This restaurant is a Vineyard institution but is always crazy busy during the summer. We came in early October for lunch, and got right in. What a charming place! So cute inside and loved the counter and kitchen visibility. The menu is varied and interesting. My husband had the "Cobb Salad" which was delicious, but I'm not sure why they call it a Cobb. Definitely different ingredients than a traditional one. We asked for extra dressing on the side, which it definitely needed. I had the fried chicken & waffles with hot honey (a special) and it was amazing!! It came with 3 large and 1 small piece of boneless chicken, and my only complaint is that 2 of the pieces were hot, and 2 were lukewarm. And they were out of iced tea. But definitely recommend.

When we stayed in the area, we had breakfast here every single day. Is that enough to say how much we loved the food??? One of the best breakfast restaurants I had ever been to. The service was decent. The wait was not bad at all although during the weekend, there could be lines to get in but in my opinion, the line moved very quickly

Well, it's not really a diner, yet I will still give it 5 stars. I had my first ever Cheddar & Bacon Crepe. It was loaded with bacon. I won't be hungry for 24 hours! My husband is a pancake connoisseur. He gives 2 thumbs up for the blueberry pancakes. Fast friendly service, nice decor.

I was visiting Martha's Vineyard for the first time and went to The Art Cliff Diner with my family. We were greeted right away and they tried to accommodate our large party of 8. Although there was a table big enough for us, it was partially seated so we were split across two tables. Although we didn't get to interact with our other table, it was still a great experience. Our particular server seemed pretty distracted and overwhelmed but was pleasant. This led to not getting refills on coffee or water. Other servers also jumped into help which was great. The food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. For food we had the Cuban Benedict (hands down the best I've ever had), granola and yogurt, the hash and eggs, and the breakfast tacos. As I said, everything was delicious. The food came out pretty quickly after ordering which was awesome. There is one single bathroom in the restaurant. There is limited parking but it's free. There is a step to get inside so not the most handicap accessible. It has the best vibe inside of a cute little diner. There is seating and bar seating. I would definitely recommend the Art Cliff Diner!

Just what you need on a Saturday morning! A later breakfast, great atmosphere and attentive service. We had two breakfast sandwiches: Hey Now! and Morning Starter. The eggs on Hey Now! were perfectly fried with fresh avocado, cilantro and the most interesting tomato baked in the oven! My husband ate every last bite of this morning starter so I guess it was good! We also ordered the homemade granola. Just the right touch of sweetness. Highly recommend!

Breakfast here is a staple institution in MV and be sure to get here by 10am or be prepared to wait about 30+ minutes. The menu is jam packed with every item imaginable for breakfast options you would want. I was feeling cozy and tried the pancakes which was really good. The service is excellent and you would really like it if you're with a larger group of friends or family.

The vibes here are immaculate, and the decor is really interesting. We went on a busy Saturday morning and waited about 25 minutes, which was approximately what the hostess told us it would be. Be open to sitting at the counter or a table to get seated faster. Oh, and they DO have gluten free bread, it's just not on the menu!

My friend and I were dead-set on eating a lobster roll, and thankfully, they had a lobster roll on their menu. We each ordered one, and had chicken fingers as an appetizer. The tenders were the perfect size, and cooked well. The lobster roll were also pretty good in my book. There were huge cuts of lobster meat in the roll, and I ordered mine toasted with butter. I've had tastier lobster roll before, and I think it might be because I've ordered it cold before with mayo and I didn't like it as much toasted. I did like that the roll also came with a side of fries and coleslaw, and the price point for all that food was pretty reasonable as lobster rolls can get pretty pricey. They also have a bottomless drink menu for $3 to get an assortment of beverages which I thought was pretty sweet. I would definitely continue to eat here next time when I come back to MV!

The next thing you'll notice is that the staff is very friendly and really trying to manage the chaos that is being caused by a chaotic kitchen. We were seated directly in-front of the kitchen, so we saw everything: - two or three wait staff anxiously waiting for orders in front of the service station (pick-up) area; - a chef continually looking at an inappropriate movie that was playing on a screen that was oddly positioned where the kitchen staff could view it (WHY) - a kitchen staff that was either doing nothing or working frantically - this is an indication of very poor management; - mediocre appetizers but passable - the entrées were ridiculously poor. I'll only describe mine to save time, but trust each of four were failures. The nerve to send to the table a beautiful piece of blue fin tuna that smelled like the gas used by a small propane gun, that had been partially burned - like on 1/2 of the fish. This shows zero respect for this beautiful creature or the people who ordered it. The lobster risotto that was beneath the fish was cold, lacked any flavor of lobster, and looked as though it had been thrown on the plate from across the room, and then to have the nerve to charge $60 + dollars is ridiculous. We of course requested to speak with the manager, who immediately came to our table, empathized and apologized, we felt heard. He then comped our entire meal which was very generous and appreciated. The chef then came over to apologize, and stated, "I'm so sorry, we dropped a pan and that threw everything off". WHAT? Buddy, we sat there and watched the chaos in your kitchen. The problemS, are not the result of a dropped pan. Apology appreciated, lame excuse was unnecessary and again demonstrated a lack of respect or intelligence. I may return alone, just to see if anything has changed or what show is on the TV.
