Free washer/dryer, but only takes HE (High Efficiency) detergent so pack some or you'll have to buy it at the front desk. Free DVDs/VHS (yes, VHS tapes haha) for rental. Nothing too recent but plenty of goodies! Quarter slot billiards table and arcade games in the basement. Really reliable and fast free wifi but no cell phone reception (I have Sprint though so maybe that's why?) Spacious rooms when the bed is pushed into the wall, and you can ask for extra cots so a family of 5 would be fine in a studio.

She just bought the business this spring and she is doing a great job running the place. My fave part of the inn was this great porch overlooking the yard. It was so peaceful and we sat out there for several hours. Sadly it rained the whole time we were there but we stayed nice and dry on the porch and relaxed listening to the rain on the roof. The breakfast was so good. We had so many things to eat and everything was delish. Mariah also directed us to a local running trail that was very close by - which was perfect for us (even tho it was raining). Lastly - we met so many awesome people that were also staying there from all over the world. Had great conversations at night and also the next morning at breakfast. Def hit this B&B up if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed.

There were 5 lamps around the room and the illumination made us feel as we had got home. There were a couch, a coffee table, a mini refrigerator, a TV, a coffee machine, a cozy bed and a wow, the bathroom. It was clear that the bathroom is very well taken care. Very clean. Besides all the reached and beyond expectations, the balcony also gave us a great experience. My wife is from NY and she was never able to see so many stars in the sky as that night. It's smack dab in the middle of some pretty good food options, like Sofia's and the Bay Haven restaurant. More than that, there's a Rite Aid pretty much across the street and a mini-strip mall with a Supermarket just a little further on, so all basic needs are easy to meet. My family booked a room with a Queen and Single bed. First off, you can't beat the price. Our room was small, but comfortable. It came with a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee maker-- sugar, coffee grounds, and powdered creamer included. Our stay was four nights/five days and those amenities were great for cutting down on spending, since it's way cheaper to make a grocery store run for food than to continuously eat out. The whole place is quaint and lovely, and there's an amazing view of a mountain range just behind it. Out front there are a few benches, a pretty fountain, and just a lovely space to hang out and soak up some sun if the weather permits. The staff that checked us in, I suspect the owners, were incredibly nice and very helpful. All in all, I highly recommend this place.

We needed to stay in the area for one night before a wedding. Now you might not think that would be…read moreproblematic, but it was, considering 1) it was prime Leaf Peeping season, 2) it was a holiday weekend, and 3) the chain hotels that hadn't yet sold out insisted on a two night minimum. So for all of those reasons, we ended up with a one-night reservation at the Mount Whittier Motel in Ossipee and paid $119 for a super clean and neat room. Our positive experience started off when we walked into the office to check in and met Amy -one of the coolest, most engaging, delightful and just plain nice persons we've met in a long time.  She recommended a few restaurants to us, then we shot the breeze and gabbed with her as if she was an old college friend, really -- she was that much fun. Our motel room was a big main room with an attached bath. The main room was big enough, had a TV with a lot of channels, a fridge and microwave, and had plenty of electric outlets. It had one night stand, a pole lamp and a table lamp on the nightstand. The bathroom was bigger than some of the ones we squeezed into at a chain hotel- where the act of closing the door comes THISCLOSE to hitting the toilet. The shower was great with plenty of hot water and pressure. Its located right on Route 16 with plenty of restaurants to the left and the right. Improvement Opportunities Be careful inputting their address into your GPS. We had some trouble finding it because there is an Ossipee and a Central Ossipee and our GPS got confused (or maybe it was operator error?). There's no coffee maker in the room, but coffee is available in the office And then there is the bed with the softest, fluffiest, squishiest mattress ever seen. It was like sleeping on a giant marshmallow or a half filled waterbed. Laying down on one side caused the other side to rise up into the air and set off ripples like an aftershock. It definitely took some getting used to. Bottom line? All in all we had a very good experience at the Mount Whittier Motel.

I really didn't believe him but then lived around the country and understood what he meant. I forgot about that for a long time until I checked into the Mount Whittier Hotel. It's kind of rural but still in civilization to be fair. I was surprised it was about $85/night. Keep in mind this is Ossipee, New Hampshire; POPULATION: 1,711. The room and bathroom is small and basic but clean. You can hear the cars driving by except from about midnight to 5 AM. The family is really nice and before I left, the father gave me a hot cup of masala tea - YUM! But I suggest that they have an iron and ironing board in each room instead of having to go to the front desk to get it. The set up outside is similar to the Bates Motel...time to shower!

The place was remodeled and has a hip, early 20th century industrial theme. Some B&Bs have nauseating "grandma decorations." Not this one! Rooms are very clean, updated and modern, with Apple TVs, electronic door locks that are activated by an iPod you get upon checking in, and cool lights. You can use the iPod to text the owner if you have any issues - day or night - and he'll get back to you within a minute or so. Beds are new and very comfortable. Breakfast was fairly standard (eggs, potatoes, bacon, yogurt), but it was very good, and there are plenty of places to sit and eat if you're an introvert and don't want to socialize with everyone at the inn. This was a huge relief to me because the early morning social pressure associated with more "typical" B&Bs is stressful. This place is also really convenient whether you want to go into town for food/shopping, or whether you want to go to the opposite direction into the mountains. Because it is so new, they seem to still be working out some kinks and adding to the customer experience. For example, our shower was kinda dark and could've used a light fixture in it and more shelving. We also could've used more outlets by the bed for phones/lamps, but honestly these were really small suggestions that the owner took to heart. He's a go-getter and I have no doubts that this place will continue to get even better. If you have the opportunity to stay here, definitely do it. We had a great time and plan to stay again next time we're in NH.
