I ordered the wrong part for my PT Crusier based on bad information from my local auto mechanic in Green Valley, AZ. I was told that the part I needed for my older car was its hydraulic lift motor for my 2005 PT Crusier, Convertible's top lift mechasim. This turned out to be the wrong item. The problem was not the lift motor but a small hydraulic lift cylinder. The wrong part that I ordered from Auto King cost me $466. Upon contacting Auto King about returning the unopened part, I was told they did not take parts back. All sales are final per their contact, which is made very clear in the invoice. This place is a SCAM!!! Ordered an engine 3/31/2023, paid $1600. They guaranteed that the engine was run tested thoroughly. Engine arrived 1 week later. I paid my mechanic 1800 to replace the engine and refresh any needed parts like water pump, belts, oil....etc. Mechanic lets me know the engine is no good. Runs fine, but heads are leaking into the cooling system, blowing steam out of the tailpipe. And there's a slight knock in the engine. I contact Auto King to advise of the warranty claim, and Amy SIMPLY REFUSES TO HONOR IT. I was able to get video of the defects, and the video also shows the engine installed with their markings on it. It shows the steam, and where the radiator overflow was bubbling due to the air leaking in and you can also hear the knock in the engine. She says she can refund me $400 because of the "restock fee". Restock what?! I explained that their warranty covers a full refund. I also explained this is not a cancel order, it's a warranty claim. She couldn't differentiate between the two. So she says I have to pay for the return shipping of the defective motor and the restock fee. We argue for about 3 months. She refuses. Finally I decide to work another deal, I ask that she give me full credit for another motor. Amy agrees. I ask for another motor for my other car. She says it's more expensive. Why? She insists I pay another $800 above my $1600 credit. I argue with her for another couple of weeks. We finally come to an agreement that I pay $300. She keeps promising the engine will go out any day. I wait another 2.5 months. Keep in mind that the first engine went out almost the same day. I finally, after almost 3 months ask her if she is playing games with me. She doesn't deny it. I ask her if they are waiting for more money and she blatantly says YES. They weren't going to send anything to me. The audacity is mind boggling. I agree to pay $600. And of course the engine goes out the next day. They also guaranteed me that the second engine was also run tested thoroughly. I open the engine up and it was completely rusted through. Also the engine was not a complete match to what I asked for so it was going to need multiple parts replaced in order for it to even work in my car. This engine is complete junk. Purchase at your own risk. This place is a complete SCAM. They do not honor warranties. They do not test parts and they WILL lie in order to take your money. I'm out $2200 from them and another $1800 from my mechanic installing a bad engine. Total $4000!!
