I have been going to this mall since it opened and our other mall closed down. In the beginning this mall was the best around with the best stores and variety and food court. It has all outdoor parking and there is lighting and "security crew?" that drive around-more on that later. This mall has been through many changes and has survived the pandemic surprisingly well considering the other places that have closed down. That is a plus for them. However they have not been able to get the stores back to fill the openings and the stores there now aren't all encompassing. They are more like a lot of individual stores (all random -for a particular group). They have the big stores Macys, JCPenney, boscovs and the Sears closed. Other stores are, hemp tattoos, hat shops, shoe stores, eateries (not much keto or vegan but can be found), bath shops, I think the mall is so empty because of this and it was a day trip. They have 2 escalators on each end of the mall and an elevator in the center in front of food court. They could use another with strollers & wheelchairs etc. They are handicap accessible and parking isn't too bad. Depends on how far you can walk. The security is a problem for me. When first opened the security was excellent! Now I don't go there anymore at night because there have been many people carjacked, attacked and robbed, women attacked in front of people and "security?" As for the "security people " I had an issue with a carful of people who hit my truck while I was sitting in a parking space. They tried to drive away and I got my phone out and recorded them leaving and laughing as I got out to check my truck. They saw me and came back yelling "you recording us?" I said yes, you hit my truck and drove away and I was in the truck. I got the plate for police. They came at me as I got in my truck. I saw "security " and waved them over to my dismay they were not helping me but cheering the people on!! I was on phone with local police at that point and I told them I didn't feel safe and that the "security " weren't there to help. They told me they know, it's a problem and they (police) don't usually respond to calls from people for assistance bc of the security people ". I got his name and the rest and went on to the police station by my house. They listened. My biggest concern here is everyone safety. 1/5 for safety The deals are great at the big stores like Macy, Boscovs and JCPenney. I did score big deals in boscovs. From clothing, house wares, holiday gifts and decorations, jewelry, and other unique coastal items. Overall I recommend the mall but beware this time of year when it gets dark early! I think if you go during the day you will be fine and check out the deals in boscovs and Macys. I didn't notice alot of holiday decorations up in the mall but they were pretty decorative in the stores. An absolute disaster of a place. It's like being in west Baltimore most weekends and all of the stores are collapsed or dying.

The customer service was great from the different stores that we shopped at. Had many different sales some reasonable some kind of still pricey. One thing about this mall has a variety of stores for all needs, food court is a good size if you choose to sit and eat. Overall I can't complain. read more

I have no business in a mall. Seriously I don't. I'm trying to cut back; however, in an effort to help out le boo, I found myself there. Anywho, I came in through the food court. The tables were spread out for the purpose of social distancing. It wasn't too crowded, and all of the people were wearing masks. I noticed that some of the open stores had capacity limits to ensure safety of others. Additionally, I noticed that some of the stores had barriers between staff and customers in the check out areas. Even if I don't think I need to be shopping, it isn't too bad at White Marsh. read more

This mall hits the center tier when it comes to reviewing malls in the area. Starting on northern Maryland we have Hartford mall...which is really lack luster and then we have white marsh which is a nice improvement! There is Towson mall that is even better than white marsh but since this is all about whitemarsh let's dive in! White marsh has several stores from Macy's to Vans that can satisfy just about everyone that isn't looking for a Louis Vuttion! If your looking for a Louie please get back in your car now and go to Towson mall. They have a decent food court that seems to have changes here and there. They also have some restaurants that are attached to the mall as well such as Red Robin. The parking lot is very decently sized. I have notice I think they should place more trash cans so people can throw things away without thinking since we all know that one person that if they look and can't find one it ends up on the ground. Only 6 days left until Xmas and they are doing a pretty decent job with social distancing folks. I have not fully & leisurely wandered around in a mall in months, feels strange but I'm making my way around. The Christmas atmosphere was still pulled off well and although things are no where near back to normal it felt quasi normal. I did not come to Xmas shop, my nail technician is located here so I typically make a B-line straight there and back out. I had time to waste before my appointment so I walked the entire mall. People were out & about making the best of the situation and the holiday season. Pictures with Santa was even still happening. Food court is open and rearranged to meet the safety guidelines: I've always had a good shopping experience pre-covid and it appears that things are still flowing in a positive direction. I went in one store and went crazy and I think that was suffice. I want to return for the after Xmas sales. read more

Customer service, common courtesy and kindness are severely lacking at the White Marsh Mall. My family and I have shopped with this mall for years. The service, or lack there of, received today was egregious. Training in service and decency need to be had with this team. Very disappointing. The selection is already not great. I was a little hesitant to visit this mall due to other reviews, but to my surprise this mall was pretty decent! It's big and clean, has plenty of good stores, and the food court is great! There's also police and security walking around so you feel more then safe! I would not recommend eating at the food court, a week ago my aunt found a cockroach in her milkshake at the chick-fil-a there. there have also been reports of others finding cockroaches in their food. much better than eastpoint mall. it's got a lot of well know stores... for example vans, justice, pink, hot topic, and so on. there are a few smoothie stands that i love to get samples from. it also has a play area for the little ones. i would recommend shopping there just stay away from the food court. read more

This review is for the salon! For the past ten years I have come in periodically to have my hair cut and colored. My hair is very thick and curly and I have had many people try and cut my hair, only to utterly fail! However, Diane at this location is a master with sheers and knows exactly how to Taylor a cut to an individual! Her ability to master all sorts of styles is astonishing! Every single hair cut or color I have received from her has been nothing short of breath taking! I constantly receive compliments and inquiries on who does my hair! All I can recommend is if you want a show stopping, cut of the edge hair style come to Diane! Also if your more traditional she can handle that as well!!!! The best part about this mall is everything around it. Not only is the mall Itself worth the trip but there is an entire complex of shops, restaurants, and movie theater adjacent. This review is just of the mall itself, not the outlying stores and restaurants or the avenue, and if you need the megabus, they usually leave from the park and ride behind IKEA, but occasionally from other nearby locations around the mall, which could be confusing to out-of-towners. I worked at this mall for 5 years in late 80s/early 90s and have lived within a mile of it for 30 years. Ever since GGP took over from Rouse, it has been a slow, grinding slide in the wrong direction. I don't know that it is all their fault, Internet shopping has probably done more damage than anything because most of the stores that now sit empty were homes to chain stores that have closed many locations, not just WM's (Radio shack, Aeropostale, H&M - we hardly knew ye, many others). Sadly, the stores that replace the chains are mostly garbage - very temporary looking junk sellers. But this doesn't mean there aren't good stores, but they are dwindling. But I'm not letting GGP off the hook, though. The merry-go-round in the food court is long gone, replaced by a dinky coin-op toddler-sized one on the first floor and a huge TV screen which might not be bad if they showed anything interesting on it. They have choked out so many things that made the place fun at the holidays in favor of generic decorations and/or hanging billboards inside. The Santa area is minuscule compared to what it used to be. It used to be whimsical and the workshop reached up to the second level. By comparison, Santa now sits in a cubicle. Oh, there's red velvet and brass, but it definitely feels like they took an obligatory corporate approach to it rather than making it really fun. It's sad to see it be a tiny shadow of what it was. Then there are other small things that are minor irritations, like changing the logo of cattails from green to red, just dumb. They also put more lights near the entrances, which was needed, but they were just round vertical poles with the lights within the cylinder at the top, not awful, but if you're going that far, why not make them look like the cattails in the logo (that is now red) and make it more fun and distinct? On the positive side, they replace the brick flooring a few years ago and that brightened it up a bit, and they put some sort of patterned window-cling-like stuff on the skylights so that the sun isn't quite as intense inside on clear days. If you read the beginning of this and can relate to what I've said so far, then you can probably understand why I fear that White Marsh will go the way of Golden Ring Mall. If you didn't relate to it, Golden Ring was a smaller, but similar mall near WM that had a similar decay until it was eventually torn down in favor of a Walmart and Home Depot shopping center. I don't think it's at that point yet, but if the vacancies continue to pile up..,well...who knows. You just can't keep sliding ABC Collectibles and Leather Man and Party Square (or whatever the name of that awful place is) around and expect some kind of resurgence. We knew it was in trouble when the glow golf went into a large space and knew it was getting really bad when the glow golf closed. I don't know the details behind it, but when Mamma Ilardo's Pizza closed, it was the last shop that had been there from or near the opening of the mall that wasn't a big chain. Guess I'll have to cry into a delicious Charley's sub til I feel better about it. I hope it can get turned around soon, it's not too late! read more

I didn't get a chance to do any actual shopping because I was in a wild rush to find my way back to NYC, but I can still speak to the overall facility and service. I needed to get to the Megabus stop but had been stranded in the middle of the parking lot with the vague instruction "it's on the other side of the parking lot!" No it wasn't. I circled the lot with no idea where the hell I was going, until I figured I may as well see if there was an information booth inside the mall that MIGHT know where the completely unrelated international inter-city bus company using their parking lot as an unofficial stop for the NYC-bound might be. Not only did security know, but the guard in the security office called a mobile unit to pick me up right outside the mall to make sure I was dropped off at the right location (it wasn't exactly close). I almost hugged all of them, I was so relieved and happy. In the process of looking for the security office, I got to walk through the mall. I've seen my fair share of malls, and I have to say that this one seemed pretty nice. It's very clean, open and airy, and the store selection looked pretty decent and worth checking out if I had the time. I probably won't be back at White Marsh any time soon, but I will definitely be sending the mall security team a Christmas card this year. read more

This mall is pretty good for the area. Not as big as Towson Town Center, but definitely much better than East Point Mall. The food court has a decent selection of food, but you should get your drinks from G'Lato D'Italia because they are large and only $1 including tax. You have your basic mall stores like Forever 21, JC Penneys, Macys, Aeropostale, Hollister, American Eagle and about 5 fine jewelry stores and of course a Starbucks. I would stay away on Friday and Saturday nights because that's when all the teeny boppers like to swarm the mall and it can get pretty hectic. read more

White Marsh is my go to mall. Nothing over the top like Arundel Mills or Westfield Annapolis, which are my favorite malls. I can get in and out without issue. It has my favorite stores and I don't have to go far into the mall go get to them because it's not that big. The fact that there is so much parking is a plus. I live 10 min away from Towson and I'd rather drive 20 mins to White Marsh to avoid having to look for parking. Unfortunately, I know the parking situation may change once they finish building Dave and Buster's. read more

There's nothing really special about White Marsh Mall that sets it apart from other malls. It is filled with the usual stores and booths. Boscov's is about the only thing worth checking out and you best be ready to spend money there! Simply, an alright mall with a decent food court (it has a Greene Turtle!) and clean restrooms. There are several one-way exits that force you to go a specific direction. So, you may have to go the opposite direction before you can make a U-turn for your intended direction. So, just be patient around that. read more

Since Golden Ring Mall (RIP) has been gone, White Marsh remains my go-to mall. Been going there since it opened and have always had a great experience. Though the mall and the stores in it have changed, there is such a warm, welcoming and very friendly atmosphere in the mall that makes it a pleasure to spend time there. It's a real plus too that the anchors have mostly remained the same and Sears and JC Penney remain two of my fave stores to shop in. White Marsh's store selection is fantastic, the mall is clean and well maintained and easy to get around in. Parking is also ample, it's in a lovely area with a Giant, several restaurants and a multi screen movie theatre nearby as well. VERY highly recommended, a wonderful experience for holiday shopping and as a regular shopper, it's a must to visit year round. read more

I used to work in this mall back in my college days. It used to be crowed and actually somewhat of a fun place to work at. Over the years, the kids that frequent there had changed. They are louder than ever. It's almost like a zoo on a friday or saturday night, but unlike towsontown, which is a zoo. The loaded fries didn't load the flavor cause it doesn't have alot of bang for your buck it's kinda average... I'm not a huge fan of long lines, crazy shoppers and oversized malls therefore making White Marsh one of my favorites in the Baltimore area. Towson and Columbia offer too much selection and too many crazy people.. if you can get out of those malls with your feet still attached and your bags still in your hand, then you had a successful trip. White Marsh has all of your typical stores: Sears, JCPenny, Boscovs (newly reopened), Payless, American Eagle, Hollister, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sports Authority, Wet Seal, Victoria Secrets, etc. If you are looking for a quick find, in a mall that you won't get lost in then I suggest White Marsh Mall. The mall is literally a rectangle, so if you get lost.. you really have no sense of direction. Also, its important to note that White Marsh has a pretty awesome food court. From the $1 drink place on the corner, to the sushi places, to Mamma Ilardo' s.. you can find anything to eat. Plus, the mall offers Buffalo Wild Wings, Red Robin and it is now renovating the old Ruby Tuesdays to become a Greene Turtle. Happy shopping for the holidays, all! read more

The mall is nice and has almost all of the stores filled, and hey there's even a Suncoast! However, this review is for the MAC counter inside of the Macy's. I usually prefer the MAC store, but the ladies at this counter are impossibly nice and will always give you the time of day. I got my makeup done there for my 24th birthday, and the lady who's name I sadly can not remember did a *fantastic* job. She was funny, friendly, and we had a great time. I was here waiting for my megabus and got to explore the place for two hours. This is a fairly good mall. It is two stories with a decent amount of stores. All the vendors downstairs weren't as pushy about their products as I expected them to be, which was a plus. It doesn't have H&M or Urban Outfitters, but it does have the typical Express, Charlotte Russe and Forever 21. They also had a good amount of shoe/sneaker stores, but not that great of a selection. The food court has it's selection of Asian and American food, but not much else. I feel like the mall still needs some work, but it's not bad. The one thing that really annoyed me while I was here was that the cleaning people were pretty disrespectful. For instance, I was using the bathroom at the food court and as I was in a stall, the cleaning lady mopped INTO my stall and even brushes my backup a couple times that I set on the floor. First of all, I believe that is an invasion of privacy. I was on the toilet as she mopped under the stall door to my feet. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation. Second, I have no idea where that mop has been and I obviously have to wear my backpack. It was so disgusting. I was appalled by her actions. read more

My 13yr old daughter and I stopped in this store looking for a dress for her graduation ceremony. She found one she liked but they closed the dressing rooms and she couldn't try it on. Thinking I could buy it and return it if it didn't fit, I did so. Only after I purchased, the clerk informed me there are no returns. There were no signs posted regarding their policy. She pointed to a frickin sticker on the counter under the credit card machine that was not visible! Well the dress was too big and I'm now stuck with it!!! I wish I could give zero stars as corporate isn't interested in keeping a customer only the money. read more

Not a bad mall, but the amount of stores that keep me coming back are disappearing. I only go once in a blue moon now for Bath and Body Works and The Great Cookie. Several times I've seen mice darting around and have heard from employees how bad they are at this mall. Not as crowded as it used to be. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, though. Could definitely be worse, but could be a little better. read more
