Bean Burrito,1 kid Burrito, 1 Fiesta Salad..the charge was 66 dollars tonight..sounds way to high

I got tacos with my husband and it was slightly disappointing. Maybe it was just my order was take out and they rushed but the taco meats for each taco were kind of small and most of the tortillas holding the taco meat broke. Tacos does not come with any kinds of salsa like other Mexican places. Also becareful of their taco Tuesdays and the (+2.99 Platter) it's just an add on for beans and rice and a salad that they don't specify. I tried to get a refund for the platter because I didn't know and to just keep the tacos but they apparently can't do it cause it's "paid online". You might as well don't get scammed like me and order the lunch version on their menu since it's a cheaper version of the "platter +2.99" without the extra charge. They also do not answer their phone often so that should've kind of been my red flag for this place. Service was not the best and had not only me but a lot of other people waiting for a long time to get their food. I genuinely love Mexican food places so it saddens me that I had to write this review cause it was that bad. read more

I ordered a steak fajita. It was almost 30 bucks! The peppers and the onions and the steak arent cooked cooked. I isually order this from other Mexican restaurants but this was the most horrible and the most expensive steak fajita I've had. I don't even know where to begin. This place was fantastic the last year. The owner started leaving since they opened another place up in Blackwood. I have yet to be there, I think it's a grocery store. Well, every time he (the owner) is not present at that restaurant, it's like no one can mange that place correctly. It's honestly disappointing. I work in Bellmawr and we USED to enjoy ordering here for Taco Tuesday but everything has been reduced in size and so have the portions. I also noticed we were charged for Al Pastor Tuesday but did not request this. I ordered 3 regular tacos like I always do and somehow was given 4 mini tacos. Not sure why I'm being charged for a side salsa. I'm okay with a smaller portion on that not reduced meat. I eat more tortilla and vegetables than Al Pastor meat. Once the owner is present at the restaurant, then we don't have issues. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but this is our 6th time having this issue and most likely won't be ordering again if we hear that he's not there. It's an inconvenience for the amount we're being charged and not matching with the amount of food being offered. I had baby sized bite pieces for lunch. This place is definitely not authentic Mexican food. The food is more like something you can get at chipotle. The red sauce was very sweet with no spice at all. I personally don't like my sauce for my tacos to be sweet so that definitely wasn't something I would want to try again. The food was 2.5/5 the asada and carnitas were very dry with not much taste. The campechano tacos were definitely my least favorite. I also had the fried ice cream and that was actually very good !! I would come back just to pick up dessert. read more

I'm always on the lookout for good Mexican food and will happily drive a long distance to get the good stuff. When I noticed that a new Mexican place had opened close to home, I had to check it out right away. With the COVID pandemic limiting us to only getting takeout, close is a good thing. Their menu includes all of the standards, so we ordered a bunch of stuff to make our own sampler. Yeah, we'd have a lot leftover, but if it's good, who cares! When I say the standards, I mean tamales, enchiladas, chiles rellenos and few other items. Sure, they have a lot more than this on the menu, but if they can make these items well, they can probably win me over. Well, they certainly won me over and I have a new go-to place for Mexican food! ALL of the dishes that we ordered were some of the best I've had anywhere. I can't wait to go back and pick up some of their steak dishes. I look forward to the day when it's safe to start eating out at restaurants again because Avocado Mexican Grill will be on my list of places to go. However, their great food and close proximity to home means I'll be ordering curbside pickup many more times between now and then! Plus, despite only interacting with the staff on the phone and at the car window, they were incredibly friendly and helpful. read more

My husband daughter and I have had several meals here and cannot wait to go back. We Love the Pollo Loco platter. The chicken is authentic Sinaloan bbq. The flavoring is Very Tasty and the chicken moist and tender. We have also had the sizzling fajitas, shrimp tacos , burritos, chimichangas. The young lady server is the sweetest/friendliest. Not great, not awful. Definitely Americanized Mexican fare. The extended family got together and ordered a number of dishes to share. The chiles rellenos platter was listed as, "flame roasted poblano peppers stuffed with chicken and cheese." Oddly, this meant there were two peppers, one stuffed with only cheese, the other stuffed with only chicken (which resulted in the only dry chili rellenos I've ever eaten). Did it deliver what was described, technically yes, but it was definitely disappointing. The chicken avocado salad was awful. The same dry chicken slapped on top of a few handfuls of lettuce, olives, and slapped on pico and corn relish in a gummy shell bowl. Terrible. Both kids' beef tacos orders seemed good enough for them to polish off quickly, so well done there. The chorizo street tacos were also okay, but nothing noteworthy. Definitely far inferior compared to the Trenton area Mexican places we're accustomed to. We don't make it down to the Runnemede area nearly enough for me to attempt another visit here, there are too many better choices in the area. Sadly, one and done for us. read more

Floors were AUDIBLY sticky. Yuck. Horchata tasted like it came from a bottle. Traditional wet burrito didn't have enough mole sauce or enough chicken; it was almost entirely refried beans and cheese. Overall everything was just kinda "good enough" but not great. These gripes would not be a big deal if the prices were lower. There are many better Mexican restaurants around the area. read more

This is my third time ordering from this place and let me tell youuuu! Their food is BUSSIN you hear me! I had to tell the world how authentic and well put together their Shrimp Tacos are. I dont know what sauce they used in it but it is AMAZING okay. Then I ordered the churros, it came with the caramel dip..Delicious! Must eat it warm though. If it gets cold, just heat it up in the microwave for 10 seconds and it taste just as good. Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in town! read more

Me and my boyfriend went here because we were hungry and were in the mood for Mexican food. We ordered the chicken quesadilla and 2 beef hard shell tacos with rice on the side and queso blanco. When my tacos came back they weren't ground beef or hard shell and instead they were chicken and soft shell tacos so I sent them back. The quesadilla was pretty good though I just wish the menu said more about what was in them. The waitress also forgot my rice and never asked if we needed refills or checked up on us. Also, when I got my hard shell ground beef tacos I got onions on them and found onion peels in them and also found tomatoes. In my opinion, we will not be coming back here. read more

Stoped in for dinner. Big 42" tv monitor displayed Monday Burrito special $9.99. I was sold. I ordered and received. It was a beef one. It was okay. Ground beef. Only complaint was beef was really fine grind so it was mealy. Fast forward to the bill and I was charged $12,99. This place should be called the Awesome Avocado Grill. Everything is absolutely amazing. I drive past this place everyday on my way home and been wanting to try it for a while. I'm so glad I did. Service: our server Rosa was so sweet and attentive. Food: we ordered a lot and sadly forgot to take pictures. Pork burrito was out of this world. It was stuffed with perfect seasonal pork, rice cheese and the slightest bit of beans. I hate beans so this was perfect for me My fiancé had the beef burrito. Lived it. Like with my burrito it was crammed with beef. We also ordered the chicken tacos, nacho supreme with chicken, kids beef taco meal and kids chicken quesadilla meal four kids which they devoured and wanted more. We also got fried ice cream and fired cheesecake to go. As of the time I wrote this review I had no room in my gut to eat the dessert but if they are anything like the food, they will be out of this world delicious. We will definitely be back. The food was authentic, served hot, and the portions were gigantic. I cannot wait to eat here again which might just be Monday since I have family dinner tomorrow. I highly recommend this place. They were busy with lots of to go orders but you can eat in which the few tables they have were spaced far apart, the servers are extremely friendly and the whole restaurant was clean. First off, i'm going to speak on my experience and not invalidate anyone else's. We saw the good reviews and thought this would be a good place for some tacos. Let's just say taco bell would've been a better option than here for simple TACOS. I ordered chicken, birria, and street tacos (carnitas). Let's start off with the birria tacos. it came with a liquid i'm assuming was for dipping them in. looks nothing like how it's supposed to. I attached a pic of what the sauce and tacos are supposed to look like. i ended up mixing some of the chicken within the birria but by the second taco i couldn't take such a bland taste of the birria. i dipped it in their "sauce" and it still tasted like nothing... now my taco was just soaked with even less flavor. Not to mention an unknown red sauce in a smaller container which had the tiniest bit of taste which still did the taco no justice, even dumped the whole thing on the second taco as well. The chicken tacos were better..... soggy but better. definitely had more taste. Nothing really more to say. The street tacos were the same as well. No taste and sauce that didn't help. I'm very glad the people that had a good experience did, but my experience was not like theirs and i only tried this place because of the good reviews. This place just opened and it is amazing! My daughter and I are foodies and we love us some good Mexican food! We went here for lunch and had the sweetest of waitress, polite service, great food, clean and nice decor. We had complimentary chips and salsa. We ordered chips and guacamole and tamales to start. Homemade chips and guacamole were good. Tamales came 2 with order. 1 pork 1 chicken both were also good. For lunch, I had steak chimichanga which came with rice and black beans. My daughter had Camarones (red hot spicy sauce) with shrimp which also came with rice and black beans. They rice was light, fluffy and full of flavor, definitely homemade. We both loved our lunch and ate till we were full and still took home leftovers. For dessert we had churros which came with a sweet flavored ice cream and whip cream. The first time we went here it was good. There was an older gentleman cooking. The second time we went the food wasn't as good. The third time we went it was empty for a reason. There were no adults in the restaurant, so it was children cooking. The food was so bland I couldn't eat it. My husband got tacos and I got fajitas. Looking for something new to try, figured we'd give this a shot. Boy was that a mistake. Got a hard taco. It was kinda mushy, tasteless, and topped with what was obviously pre-shredded cheese (you know how pre-shredded cheese has that corn starch grittiness keeping it from clumping? This had that in spades). Got a soft taco. There's pork, there's some veggies, squeezed some lime on it, took a bite, and somehow the corn tortilla had more taste than anything in it. It was incredible, I didn't know something could be that tasteless. Got the chilli rellenos. They were soggy, but that happens. The problem was the first inch or 2 of each had that hardness you get from microwaved food. The filling was mostly tasteless shredded chicken, and the bit of cheese in there was not melted. I guess there was a sauce on the outside? I saw sauce. I didn't taste sauce. It came with rice, which to their credit, was properly cooked! It also came with beans which were both a bit undercooked and tasted like someone throw a can of beans in a pot for a few mins with water and declared, "good enough!" We ordered the churros, which were pictured with whipped cream and did not include any other description. Instead, it came without whipped cream but with a kind of gross cream cheese filling. And finally, we ordered 2 mexican cokes (you know, the glass bottle ones with real sugar and not corn syrup) and were given 2 regular cokes, plastic bottles, corn syrup, and all. It was an utter failure every step of the way. There's far better Mexican places within a 20 min drive of here, go to one of those instead. read more

All I can say is this place is extremely good it's only been up for 5 months and it actually is very top notch in terms of the food and the service is excellent. Been two times and I must say I cannot complain about this place at all. Delicious Mexican food. Most friendliest people!! Had the Guacamole and chips, chicken enchiladas with red,green and mole sauce. Meal comes with a nice fresh salad, rice and beans!! I saw this new place and decided to give it a try. The rice was good, the beans were good. Needless to say, otherwise, I was not impressed. I was actually disappointed. From the minute I picked it up, it seemed unorganized, and the man working at the front was utterly clueless on how to do his job. I ordered shrimp tacos and they were baby shrimp! I can't stand when restaurants give you baby shrimp, it is just cheap in my opinion. They looked boiled, no grill marks, no charcoal taste. The taco was topped with shredded cheese, like from the bag you buy at the store. All on a flour tortilla. I was mainly disappointed because I am a huge fan of onions and cilantro on a taco, but I guess they only add that if you get meat.
