Do you need to come here? Yes. That should say enough but if it didn't. We came here tonight and split their board which had 3 of their two sliders, 3 legs, Fries and we added Brussel sprouts. One word; WOW! Each item was so perfectly made and so delicious it made the foodie in me question if this was real life ! They are continuing to add orn with additional outdoor seating and the future indoor seating with cocktail bar. You come here for the whimsical atmosphere but stay for the amazing food with great wine next door! read more

This will absolutely be a regular spot for me. I ordered the Smokehouse (burger), which comes as a double. I ordered it as a triple though. The flavor was great and the portions were great. The service was friendly and quick. The seating is outdoors under great old trees, which I absolutely loved. There was live music and it was great. I really did not have any negative criticism and will definitely be telling people about this place. read more

Wow! We had a party of 6 adults. Ordered an array of plates. Chicken sandwich, smash burgers, Brussels sprouts all are phenomenal! Top notch service with very educated owners and staff. Our first trip and will not be the last! The food is worth the trip if nothing else! read more

This place was amazing. We were in town for the day and stopped by, and the food, customer service, and outdoor area were incredible. Reminds me of my favorite restraunt back home with the laid-back vibes and sweet staff. You can tell the love and care about this place, and it shows! I have no doubt this place will succeed! We were already joking that we wish they would open one up in our hometown, and planning to come here on our next visit. read more

What a great atmosphere! Food is great, we loved the Brussels, the pork and the chicken on the board, oh and the fries! The wine from solo vino was great and loved having them bring a chiller for it. I love having this place so close to us, it's truly a neighborhood hang out. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. We will be back this weekend. read more

This was the tastiest meal I have had in a very long time. I don't know how to recreate those marvelous flavors so now I will become a regular just to enjoy this again and again. The atmosphere was totally relaxing and will be a great place to bring my friends. read more

What a fantastic addition the Aiken! We had a great time here, the food and atmosphere were awesome. It's very family friendly being outdoor. They haven't been open very long so there are some things they are working out but we have been here twice and each time it has been better than the last. We have had their spring salad and smoked chicken and pork sandwiches. Everything had great flavor. A lot of people were ordering the burger so we will try the it next time. The only thing I wish they had were waiters so you don't have to go up to the bar and order. It's a little confusing when you walk in and there is no hostess and you have to figure out that you order at the bar then find a table. Hopefully they will work on that but it will not stop us from eating here since the food was great. read more

Located in downtown Aiken, The Backyard is an outdoor dining destination built around great food, cold drinks, and community. Guests can enjoy smash burgers, smoked meats, wings, sandwiches, and shareable boards alongside a selection of beer and wine in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Centered around our courtyard and Airstream bar, The Backyard offers plenty of outdoor seating for everything from a quick lunch to dinner with friends, family gatherings, and casual nights out. The property is also home to The Parlour coffee shop and Solo Vino wine store, creating a unique destination where guests can eat, drink, shop, and spend time outdoors. The waitresses were quick with our drinks and taking our orders, and the kitchen had our food ready in around 15 minutes. The food itself was delicious. I ordered the Norwegian Croque, and the smoked salmon was firm and smoky (hence the name). Very delicious. My wife got the Kobe Burger and she loved how savory the meat was. We ordered the Fries and Aioli as an appetizer, and the Aioli sauce was good, but the fries were pretty standard. We finished with the Chocolate Cheesecake, and I would highly recommend it if you love chocolate deserts; very rich. Outdoor seating was quite nice here, and the interior decoration was very beautiful, but the exterior seating had duct tape, and some of the tables looked a bit word down and weathered. The seating looks were all over the place too, with some wood tables, some glass, some metal, didn't really bring together a cohesive decor choice. Overall great restaurant that we will be sure to come back to for a nice brunch in the future.
