Absolutely delicious food. It was a fun place for a quick lunch - will go back. #iraeats #iraeats1

Guinness beef stew... can't tell there was guineas but the soda bread was the best!

Decent bar with good drinks and food. Short staffed as i had to flag waiter down to switch out the sugary ice tea $5 EU for non sweetened. Ceaser has been accompanied with bacon which adds salty taste as they don't use anchovies. Wish Guinness taste was more pronounced in the beef stew. But the Irish soda bread texture and taste was awesome with butter which was melted as it was placed in the bottom of the bread.

Perfect spot for a beverage and a bowl of beef stew (which I used a a dip for my buttered soda bread) on a chilly night. I really liked the ambiance and the service was friendly and fast. Seemed like a good mix of locals and tourists alike on a weekday early evening. I'll make a point of stopping back here next time I'm in Dublin.

I was able to pop in for a bite on a busy Thursday evening. My service was friendly and prompt. Not only was the salmon sandwich I ordered delicious, but the accompanying salad was enjoyable as well. It's definitely a spot I'd like to revisit and explore more from the menu.

Charcuterie board, dirty martini and a couple of amaretto sours!

Came in for a snack and a drink. Antonio greeted us and sat us right away. We ordered the charcuterie board, everything was fresh and the bread was soft. Delicious!!!! Would have been nice to have some nuts on the board. We ordered some cocktails. They were good! Will will be back!

Irish stew, shrimp starter, and BLT sandwich.

The food overall is average at best. The charcuterie wasn't very good since the meat was harder. The Irish stew had a strong beef flavor which I wasn't a fan. The BLT sandwich was good, while the shrimp fried starter wasn't as expected. Service was okay and prompt, I would recommend trying other places.

Our waitress Sabrina was incredibly rude and unhappy. Disappointing because we saw her being smiley and kind to tables of locals. Other staff, bartender and other servers were very kind and helpful. We had two drinks and the combo board and they were amazing and fairly priced. Just saddened by her service- didn't check on us other than to take orders (bartender took our food order because she did not give us a menu), didn't say you're welcome, explain the meats/cheeses on the board. We heard about three words from her, and got a few rude faces as we ordered drinks (regular cocktails straight off the menu.

I would be a frequent customer of The Bailey. Usually I meet the girls here for a drink on a Thursday, or if we go for brunch on a Sunday and want to sit outside and have a chat if it's a sunny day, we head here to try and get one of their outside tables. Not an easy task! I'd also go here regularly on nights out. It never gets too busy. But there's always enough of a crowd for there to be a good atmosphere. They do good wine (none of those crap little bottles, it comes form a big bottle...ohh, posh!) and do a bar food menu too.

A group of us wandered down the dark alley one Sunday afternoon, a little anxious about what we might discover... Pleasantly surprised to find ourselves inside a Sleeping Beauty-like cavern of candlelit wonder, we stopped to marvel over the interior before giving the solitary bar man his rush of the century. The place was empty before we arrived, but luckily we'd brought a large enough group to make the entire place our own. The candelabras, mood lighting and high, domed ceilings make this place enchantingly atmospheric, but let's not forget the practicalities. Recipe for a good night with a large group: large tables - check, cheap beer (3.40 a pint!!!) - check, pool table - check... Ok this place is a winner. Me and 1 of my friends decided to order some cocktails so we went to the bar to see what we could get I ordered a mojito and a White Russian for my friend. I should have known it would be a disaster when the female bartender had to as the waitress how to make it needless to say it was not very good. After a while my friend decided to get one more round before we left. Well to say we were shocked is an understatement. When the waitress came over she went to order a drink to which the response was cant you see I'm busy what's wrong with you going to the bar, as she turned and walked away and went back to the bar to chat with another member of staff. The girl that had been looking after us earlier I think had finished which was a shame. Needless to say we didn't stay for another drink. This would put me off going back I could understand if it was busy but service like this is not acceptable

The Wind Jammer is not, however, one of the really fun early houses. For fun early houses that serve already somewhat inebriated people, try The Chancery. The Wind Jammer is the type of early house that caters to shift workers and Gardaí from Pearse St coming off the night shift. Apart from a few couples the morning after the Trinity Ball, they wouldn't let in too many post-club revellers. The door is closed most early mornings, and they have a CCTV camera to give ya a good hard scrutinising before they'll let you in. The only time I was there for early pints, there was only one other group of young lads there and the barman looked like he was about to stop serving them. During the rest of the day and night, the Wind Jammer is a quiet pub frequented mainly by old, grumpy locals, who would sooner bite your head off than ask you the time of day. If you're really desperate for a drink and can't make it til half ten when the rest of the pubs open, by all means go to The Wind Jammer. Otherwise, there isn't that much else to recommend to it. Oh, one other thing. The Wind Jammer is the closest pub to Windmll Lane Studios, so U2 and The Saw Doctors among others have retired there for post-recording session pints over the years. Not the type of thing that would interest me, but sure it might interest you so I thought that I'd tack it on the end there
