This was our second attempt to bowl at this location, and unfortunately, we still had no success. We made a reservation on OpenTable on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. for both bowling and dining. At 6:00 p.m., someone called to inform us that our 6:45 p.m. reservation was only for dining and wanted to confirm we were not planning to bowl. This was confusing, especially since we were already on the way. We then spoke with a manager who explained they often experience issues with OpenTable. As a result, we had to turn around, and we did not bowl that evening. The next day, we called at 2:00 p.m. to inquire about making a reservation, and Ruth informed us that bowling is first come, first served. We immediately headed over in an Uber, only to find that every lane was taken--information that Ruth did not mention. A simple clarification that the lanes were already full would have prevented an unnecessary trip. When we arrived, she asked for our reservation, which was perplexing given she had just told us reservations could not be made by phone. For the same price as a decent bowl of ramen, you can only just afford a pathetic Caprese salad WITHOUT ANY BASIL or worse, buy yourself the disappointment of having cold tempura cauliflower---I honestly forgot you could deep fry something and still have the inside be cold. You can honestly get a better meal in any grocery store like Adonis and T&T with a hot food section. Overall the people I came with made it fun, but otherwise I would think twice about coming back. Besides bowling, they also have live music on Thursday nights, and while the covers the band performed were decent, it is NOT conducive to chatting if you need to catch up with people, at least not in the dining area on the second floor where they play. Plus the duo covered R. Kelly, who I think we just need to let go of. Other than that, the service was decent--- the servers did their best managing crowds and crowds of people so it was tough for them to clear out empty glasses and plates and come check in on us to take additional orders. I ordered the Raspberry Lemonade, which was just okkkk. It was essentially Sourpuss layered with ice and lemonade. There weren't too many cocktail options, but there was the standard Beer & Wine List with maybe a few interesting cocktails. When it came to food, I was really disappointed in the selection and quality of food. I split two apps with 2 friends and we were all pretty disappointed in what we got. We ordered the Spinach & Artichoke Dip & The Vegetarian Nachos Platter . The Spinach & Artichoke Dip tasted so much like broccoli that is was difficult to find any spinach or artichoke taste in it at all. The Vegetarian Nachos was simply a platter of tortilla chips drenched in half melted cheese with franks hot sauce on top. There wasn't a single vegetable like onions or tomatoes as a topping. It did come with a little side tray of sour creme, pico de gallo and guacamole, and sadly those were the best part of the meal. I am beyond disappointed with the service we received at this place for my friend's birthday event on Friday, Sep13,24. I booked this event two weeks in advance for 16 people, and the experience was a complete disaster. First, despite arriving on time, it took them 30-40 minutes just to get the lanes ready. That was bad enough, but then, in the middle of our game, we were informed that the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes due to some "unforeseen circumstance"--even though it was supposed to stay open until midnight. They told us we could order and continue bowling, so we quickly placed our orders. However, before some of us even received our food, another waiter came over and told us we had 10 minutes to leave! I was utterly shocked--they were throwing us out in the middle of our dinner and birthday celebration! It was incredibly embarrassing in front of all my guests. To make matters worse, the waiter was extremely rude and ignorant, refusing to split our bill despite me confirming this was possible when I booked. After insisting, we had to argue with the manager, who gave us just 15 more minutes and made the birthday girl's meal free. But by that time, some of my guests had only gotten their food 10 minutes before we were forced to leave! This place provided no notice whatsoever that they would be closing early, and we never received any verbal communication about the change in hours. They completely ruined what was supposed to be a special night. when we finally paid, we discovered that we were forced to pay a 20% tip--for the food- we had also paid tip for the bowling itself before! This was after receiving some of the worst service I've ever experienced. When I talked with the manager about this, he promised to refund the tips and said he would call me within 24 hours to discuss compensation for the ruined evening. Today is Wednesday , and I still haven't received any call or refund. The manager lied and clearly doesn't care about how badly they messed up our event. I am demanding a full refund of all tips paid and compensation for this unacceptable, unprofessional behavior. This place does not respect its customers, and I would strongly advise anyone considering a visit to think twice before trusting them with any important event. Otherwise, they allowed us to play one game for 45 minutes despite paying for an entire hour and then did not allow us to play any additional games even though lanes were unused. We asked for additional time upon arrival. On a Friday night at 9pm the place was 90% empty. I felt cheated and extremely disappointed. I did not have a divine time and will not return. Lanes were also extremely dry. If I want to bowl one game for $291.20 I will stick to my local bowlerama where at least the bowling alleys have a space theme and 80's music. That ain't right. Came here for a work event, it was a lot better than expected! Had low expectations as this was know to me as a bar to go to in university for the cheap cover charge. Main dish was the tacos, they were good, similar to tacos you would make at home. Appetizers were good - example of apps: tomato and bocconcini, samosas, spring rolls etc... simular to the good frozen appetizers you'd get from Costco's. This is a new bowling alley/bar/bistro where Montana's Restaurant used to be (at Richmond W/John Street). Though we didn't bowl, we had a beer while we watched others. Looked like fun! It's $50 an hour per lane before 5pm and $75 an hour per lane after 5pm. Shoe rental is $5. The tunes were good and and the place is loud. There are big screen TVs all over showing sports. It was hard to track down a server to take our order and they weren't the friendliest. It was just the typical order and pay interaction you'd expect. ATMOSPHERE // It has a chill vibe and it seems like a pretty fun place if you were to go with a large group for bowling or for the dining area upstairs. The bowling and billiards are downstairs, and ping pong and the dining lounge are upstairs. PRICE // Everything is free, except drinks and food (obviously) and bowling! The food was a little on the pricier side, but the portions were large, so it makes up for it! As for bowling, it is one of the most expensive bowling joints I've seen. He is the reason why Toronto bouncers get a bad reputation for being power hungry. We were out for a few friend's birthday and it was a pretty low-key night, but as we approached Ballroom to go in, he picked & chooses who he wanted to power trip over. To one girl, he simply said "no you're not coming in." He cornered another and said, "tell me why I should let you in" and after she calmly explained that she only had a few glasses of wine, he turned to her & her fiancé and said, "I'll be watching her. And if she buys one drink, you're out of here." Super creepy and an unnecessary stressor to a night that should've been a fun time out with friends. And by the way - once we got in, there was no one inside. Makes you wonder if he was doing this to others... I came here on Thursday night for an event with a large group. I had called several times prior, first calling to make a reservation where I was advised that I should be calling six weeks prior to reserve a lane. Then I called back and learned that no I could reserve a lane. At that point the girl on the phone told me as long as I come in about 45 minutes prior I will get my lane in time for my team. I came in that day specifically about 50 minutes prior to the time I wanted to start bowling. I let the girl know, she wrote my name down and my cell number. I went out of my way to walk to the location and then walk back to where I was picking up the rest of my team. Once we arrived a different girl told us that no we would not be able to bowl as it was full at 6 pm. I was upset at this point as I had been told so many different things by different people, given wrong info so many times. The servers and hosts were not empathetic at all. We went upstairs for some drinks and snacks, 6 pm arrives and I send my husband downstairs to check around 620, there were many open lanes. When I come down - the girl had crossed out our name. And I asked if we could bowl at that time and she flippantly replied oh ya I was coming to get you guys. We start bowling and it takes us about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get through the game. The lane kept breaking down where we had to stop. In fact we were not even able to finish our game. The staff was very unprofessional - we had to flag down our server to get snacks halfway through the game. And there were times where they fixed the lane and never let us know that it was repaired and we would be able to bowl again. Keep in mind we had spent a large amount of money within the establishment and it seemed as though no one cared when we had all of these occurances that disrupted our night Very disappointed and never coming back. Do not book an event at this business. They treat clients horribly. Last night, March 28 we had an event for 80 people booked weeks in advance and confirmed with the manager. Our party arrived at 9pm and were told that the entire bar was being closed at 10pm, despite our booking. They had refused to book a DJ for us so we booked our own at a cost of $350. Our event was cut short by hours by an uncaring and rude manager and our group was thrown out onto the street. We could have booked elsewhere but they took our booking weeks in advance so there was no excuse for this rotten behaviour. I had another event booked in this venue in September for 800 people and I am now cancelling this booking. I am also encouraging all my corporate and event management friends not to make any bookings at this venue. Totally unacceptable behaviour. This was a corporate booking and has put our office in full damage control today with our clients. read more

The ambiance is fun, interactive with a good amount of bowling alleys along with seating all in and around the venue. However do keep in mind, me being a suburbs type of guy bowling is much cheaper, however when in the area, don't be surprised if you're paying a little more. Some friends and I visited on a Friday night to hang out, have a meal, and to enjoy some great music. The evening we visited was definitely a hit - there was a live band on our particular visit, and they were FANTASTIC. They were called "Wing Night the Band" (they specialize in doing covers of 90's R&B/hip hop, and they were AMAZING!). We loved the band, the place had a great vibe, and the crowd was mostly a mix of young professionals and students. Very laid-back, but not too rowdy. We loved it. Prices for the food are what you would expect from the location, but they weren't too overly priced. I ordered the Cheeseburger Poutine, and it was greasy yet pretty good. They had a good selection of drinks, and service was actually very quick and efficient - drinks and bills were brought over in a timely manner. The bowling area is really comfortable, with couches and actual furniture instead of just tables and stools like you'd see at average bowling centres. We ordered a lot of food and from what we ordered, I'd definitely recommend the feta bruschetta flatbread and the doughnuts. We got wings, but they didn't taste fully cooked. We also got nachos, but they were cold almost immediately after they were served. Aside from the food, I really like the energetic atmosphere here and the service is pretty good. I went with a large group and we ordered at least 20 trays of food. They were able to accommodate us with extra tables and meet all of our requests/orders without making mistakes/delays. Its a pretty happening place later on but we got there early at 8pm. we ate first- i ordered nachos with pulled pork extra and they were DELICIOUS! my friends both ordered burgers and they said it was good too so the food is a thumbs-up at this place. the thumbs-down is the entertainment part. first off, you can't reserve lanes. fine. so we put in a request for a lane (so like a waiting line) and the waiting line is 1 hr. turned out to be 1.5. second, either the staff here are really poorly trained or they can't read. it was embarassing...for them. i had a promotional coupon that gave myself and 7 of my friends one FREE HALF HR of bowling, and the next half hour for $15. ONE FREE half hr + $15 for the next half hour = $15 total for the full hour. anyone disagree or contest that? apparently the girls who work at the bowling counter are confused. i literally stood there for 10 minutes trying to explain to them what the promotion entitled me to (even though its written in plain english). i also thought the bowling area wasn't very spacious. we had one lane so we shared a lounge area with another party. there was only one three-seater sofa and a railing (OH...lucky us!). i don't understand how the math of having up to 8 people per lane led them to put in only enough seating for 3. so i guess i would go back here only for the food but not for the bowling. but there are plenty of other restaurants in the GTA to choose from so once the appeal of the bowling is gone from the ballroom, there really isn't much left. read more

I love this place! They have everything here including a bowling alley, ping pong tables, pool tables, and foosball! They have specials every day of the week, and if you want to bowl, I suggest coming Tuesday night! I unfortunately did not have the chance to bowl here but there are lounge couches and it looks really nice! However, there are only a couple of lanes so I'm assuming it gets full really easily. The ping pong tables are also for free and there is also another bar upstairs and a patio if you want to sit outside! Overall, this place is really big and it's really chill and not too loud. It seems like a lot of these BAR / Activity joints are popping up and they arent fairing too well..The concept is a lot like Lucky Strike in vaughan mills. So I can't say that it is the most original idea. However to open in the heart of downtown is a gutsy move. The place has a very western nostalgia to it. There are projectors by the bowling alley and lots of TV's all over the place. To rent a bowling alley is $50 an hour and it has a nice lounge attached to each alley. There are pool tables also. However it was not all good- the place might be too big- as servers have to make a giant walk from the kitchen to bring food. Often the food came out cold. My flatbread was cold and we sent it to re-warm, came back over-cooked and the dough hurt my teeth biting into it. The lobster roll's were puny in size as did not equate what they charged for it. Overall disappointed that we have to wait a long time to get a servers attention , cold food and overall not that tasty. My suggestion would be to come here for drinks. Order a ton of drinks right away as it might take a while before you get your next one. A one and done kind of experience for me. read more

This was a great place to catch a Bills game while in Toronto. There are tons of tvs and some super comfy couches, though none of the couches directly face a tv, whic was a little weird. There is one facing a projection screen. Otherwise, none of the upholstered furniture was facing tvs. PBRs are $4.50, my delicious raspberry lemonade was $10.25, but this isn't Buffalo, so I guess this is what it's like. So, I was here for the Super Bowl. For $25, there was a buffet, draws, $4 Bud tallcans, free soft drinks and 1 hour of free bowling(shoe rental $5). This place is HUGE. Lots of TVs, comfy seating; there wasn't a bad seat in the place. Hell, the bathroom was almost the size of my condo. :P The buffet was ok. Nacho station, pasta station, sliders, hotdogs, chili: standard Super Bowl food. Nachos were the best out of the lot...house made chips, nacho cheese and the chili was really good. Service was pretty good considering how packed the place was. She started remembering our names after awhile. :P We wanted dessert, but there was no dessert at the buffet. We asked our server and she was able to get us a dessert menu. We got the Ice Cream & Caramel Wrapped Crunch. It was cake wrapped in a sugar tortilla and deep fried then covered in caramel. It was ok. The tortilla and caramel were great, but I neither of us could tell there was cake inside. Definitely a sugar rush tho! They have a lot of events there, so it would be interesting to visit when there isn't an event. The menu looks promising! read more
