My friend and I came here during happy hour & I got the poutine for half price. It came with mushroom gravy and cheese curds. What I enjoyed about this was the size of the fries, I do like shoestring fries so this was already good. The gravy was for sure different than the beef gravy other places use. I enjoyed the gravy. Curds were squeaky (Y). We sat at the bar and the bartender there was really nice taking our order and cleaning after we were done. I would come back here to try their other happy hour deals!

This place is huge inside and out. The patio is quite expansive and nice. We were just coming for a few drinks while we waited for our dinner reservations at a different place. The drinks were tasty and beautifully served. The service was kind but slow. We would have had more than one drink had the service not been as slow as it was. There were some smaller more intimate bars in the immediate area that were more our vibe. Nothing against this place though!

Cute patio with great happy hour. Half price pizza from 5 to 9pm and dollar an ounce wine. The service was great and well worth the 18% which is default tip now in Toronto.

We went to this place on a Saturday night and we really liked the atmosphere, at that time there was a singer who without him the night would not have been as incredible. We just arrived at happy hour for the pizzas and they were pretty good. If we return to Toronto we would return to this place.

Came here for lunch really cozy patio extreme chilled vibe! Portions are Ginormous the items ordered were steak nachos, nachos were low on queso..which was pretty disappointing, 2nd item ordered was the Margarita Pizza which was pretty tasty. The waitresses here are in their 20s, wearing ass out tiny shorts and displaying hard 12 pack abs..so most of the time they are busy flaunting and attracting customers on the street and not focused on tending to their customers.. Again really laid back bar on boujee King and Portland neighborhood!

Petty Cash, although it isn't technically a club, is a great spot to go for a fun night out of drinking and dancing! If you're hungry, eat before, because once it starts to fill up, it's hard to flag down a server and put in an order. Also, their app dishes are suuuuuuper small and you'll probably still be hungry even if you share a few with friends. That being said, the coconut shrimp is amazing! In the late evening, the music gets really loud and most of the space is filled with dancing patrons so it can get a little crowded, especially since they don't move the tables. But the music here is great, a mix of hip hop, r&b, and top 40. Worth a go for a night out in Toronto!

A lovely vibe for a Sunday night out, a slightly upper class feel with modern music that includes rap and hip hop, with outdoor heaters located at the top ends of the outdoor patio and a nice red lighting for outside. Wood benches for seating with a beautiful cobblestone building with fake vines along its walls. Drinks start at 17$ though this is to be expected regarding the type of alcohol they use. Food starts at 10$ for shareable meals to 24$, where regular meals start from 18-24$. Meals to note are full on pizzas to zucchini chips (a shareable meal) and the beef slider trios. Late night menu starts at 10pm with the prices of 10-21$ and food isn't served after 1am. My sister and I ordered the pizza, no drinks and it had a Smokey smell which made it smell amazing. The crust was caramelized and seemed to come right out of the oven.

PATIO Pretty good vibes at this place, especially the patio when its nice outside. Had a "few" drinks here tonight and also ordered a pizza. No lie, the pizza was really good even tho it was the size of a naan bread with pepperoni on it. It came with some ranchy dipping sauce which took it next level. They had a DJ rocking out beats which was just perfect for a summer night. Note: they auto add 18% to your bill when you come with 6 or more people, but the service was great so well deserved.

My boyfriend, my friend and I went to Petty Cash on Monday to take advantage of their $1 menu deals. Every Monday they feature $1 beer and wing deals. The beer is their house beer, called ODB. Very similar taste to Coors. The $1 beer comes in a mini size. My boyfriend worked it out that 4-5 mini beers equal one full sized beer. I'm not a huge beer fan but got a mini beer to try. It had just enough for a few sips between the wings. I included a picture of the mini beer with a water glass which is roughly the size of a pop can, to help you guage size. Their wings come in three flavors: Salt & pepper, buffalo, and honey siracha. My boyfriend ordered the buffalo and I went for the honey siracha. Due to the $1 deal you must order the wings in batches of 6. My boyfriend's wings came with a side of ranch dip and carrots/celery but mine did not. However my wings were slightly bigger than his. I did not taste any heat with the honey siracha wings. It was because of this that I ended up liking the taste of the buffalo wings my boyfriend got better. They were the perfect blend of heat and flavor. We also ordered a side of fries for $5. We were happy with the amount of fries you get. The fries themselves Were crinkle cut and cooked to perfection. It came with a spicy ketchup dip that I didn't care for but my friend loved! Great place for a cheap dinner! Place wasn't busy at all and the server was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back again.

Petty Cash is a new resto-bar that opened up where Spirit House used to be. I came here on a Saturday evening, and there was a brief line around 11PM. There's no cover and no one even checked our IDs (strange). Later when we left around 12:30, the line was very VERY long, so definitely come early!! The interior is very roomy, with plenty of instagram worthy neon signs and decor. We sat on the patio and ordered some drinks. They have $1 per 1oz of house wine. I ordered their sangria, it had a nice strawberry taste to it! Service was pretty slow, I'd order at the bar instead of the patio for faster service. Overall, I would probably come back with a group of friends on the weekend at night!

Front of the line at the pathetic Petty Cash

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Showed up at 10:30pm with my boyfriend and his friends. The line seemed to move but when we came to the front at 12:30am it was clear that this establishment prioritizes cheap thrills over true patrons of the establishment. I WILL NEVER RUIN MY NIGHT waiting over two hours with people skipping the line, bouncers yelling at us like cattle, acting like demi gods tripping off the little power they have in their life. This venue will never have my business nor the 11 other people I showed up with. Friends that did manage to get in were turned away at the bar and the place was so crammed (well over the legal capacity) that of course it smelled like piss. Here's picture proof of me being here. ** Notice the demi god himself Mr.Clean in the lower right corner hahah pathetic.

If you just want to drink ok the patio, that's all this place has to offer. Food (2/5)- The tacos were the best thing we got and they were average. Wings were not great. Grilled cheese with broccoli, probably should have guessed and the power salad was ok. Drinks (3/5)- A beers a beer, they have some cocktails, we got the pineapple one that comes in a golden pineapple cup, it was ok, you can't drink more than one. Small portions. Service (3/5)- Not bad. Vibe (2/5)- The patio is nice, that's what made us stop in, but its across from a parking lot (where some pretty shady stuff looked to be happening). The crowd was a bit pretentious, not my kinda spot. Overall (2/5)- I'm really upset, the place is beautifully decorated I would love to spend more time there but the food and drinks aren't great and the vibe isn't fun.

We ended up sitting at the bar since we were walk-ins. It is also a very low light restaurant, especially at night. so it might not be the best place for older adults or those who are visually impaired. Service was good, however, we were somewhat forgotten at times since we were tucked away in a dark corner. We ended up ordering the Truffle Fries, the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta, the Korean Chicken, and the Vodka Pie. The truffle fries were crisp and plentiful. We added sausage to the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta, and it was delicious paired with the pizza. The Korean Chicken were bite sized and flavourful as well. However, The vodka Pie haunts me in my dreams. I think I crave this pizza about every week. The pizza at King Taps has one of the best crusts I've ever had, and the vodka sauce is to die for. It's sad to know that this pizza will rotate out, I'd definitely try it before it leaves! I will be back for the Vodka Pie, mark my words!

We started with the Brussels sprouts which is always a great choice from here. Crispy on the outside and not an overwhelming Brussels sprout taste. This is likely because there is a generous sprinkling of grated parm and a great amount of dip. We tried the crispy tuna sushi. The tuna was beautifully marinated, so flavourful. And the sushi was nice and crispy. The vodka pie was a seasonal item and when we saw it listed, we knew we needed to try it. The sauce- amazing, the press was nice and flaky and light and really tasty. And the soccer Sada added nice saltines and flavour without being too overwhelming. For happy hour, the apps and pizzas were $5 off, and the ranch water was $5. I'd come back for the pizza alone! Jeans was our waitress and she was great!

The next was the Crab Dip ($20.75), it was hot but not overly tasty. 3rd was the Hot Chicken Bites with pickles ($16.00). They were ok but not hot in temp enough. The final was the Chili Citrus Calamari ($21.25). This was the worse of the dishes. Simply put, it was cold. The server removed this from our bill. In summary...I wouldn't go out of my way again to go here but given all things being equal, the servers were very good. As a final note...the bathroom was very clean & well maintained.

Located on the 31st floor of the St. Regis Hotel, the restaurant has an incredible atmosphere. The dining room is absolutely stunning with a classy and luxurious feel, but it still feels comfortable and inviting rather than too formal. We started the evening with cocktails before moving into the Summerlicious menu. I ordered the "I Only Drink When I Smoke," which was a great way to start the night. It had a subtle smoky flavour with a touch of sweetness, and the alcohol was not overpowering at all. It was smooth, easy to sip on, and the perfect drink to enjoy while having conversations. For my Summerlicious menu, I started with the Tartare de Boeuf and Caviar. The filet mignon tartare was fresh and really smooth, with a nice balance of rich and savoury flavours. The toasted bread also gave it a nice crunch and paired really well with the tartare. For the main course, I had the Roasted Chateaubriand Filet. When the plate was served, the meat looked really rare as I saw nothing but red on the meat, but it was incredibly tender, making it easy to cut through. It was full of flavour, and the sauce complemented the steak without being too heavy or salty. The vegetables added a nice balance to the dish, and the creamy mashed potatoes were smooth, and definitely one of my favourite parts of the meal. To finish, I had the Mango Passionfruit Cheesecake. It was creamy without feeling too heavy. Though the fruity flavours from the mango passionfruit were a bit tart and sweet for my palate, it still gave an overall refreshing touch. The crust added a nice texture, and it was the perfect ending to the meal. Beyond the food, what really stood out was the service and pacing of the evening. Each course arrived at the right time, allowing us to enjoy every dish without feeling rushed. The price point is definitely on the higher end, so it is not somewhere I would personally visit for a casual dinner on a regular basis. However, for a special occasion, celebration, or a night where you want to enjoy a beautiful dining experience, I think Louix Louis would be a great choice... and for $75/ person for Summerlicious/ Winterlicious, definitely a great value to sample the chefs' artistry. Overall, it was a memorable evening with an elegant atmosphere, thoughtfully prepared dishes, and great service. I can definitely understand why this spot has become such a popular destination, and I would love to come back again for Winterlicious!

Perched high above the bustle of downtown Toronto, LOUIX LOUIS makes a compelling first impression…read more The dining room is genuinely handsome -- a study in polished Art Deco glamour softened by sweeping city views that lend every table a sense of occasion. On a Valentine's Day brunch visit, the atmosphere alone was enough to justify the reservation. The kitchen demonstrates genuine competence: dishes arrive with care, the pacing is unhurried, and the mise en scène -- from tableside presentation to that now-famous thirteen-layer chocolate cake -- reveals an establishment that understands the theatre of fine dining. That towering slice of chocolate cake, in particular, is a masterstroke of marketing and pastry craft in equal measure; it draws the eye, earns its reputation, and very nearly steals the show. Where LOUIX LOUIS gives one pause is in the cuisine's ability to fully match its surroundings. The cooking is accomplished and reliably pleasant, yet seldom rises to the level of genuine distinction one might hope for at this price point. Dishes satisfy without surprising; technique is evident but inspiration, at moments, feels held in reserve. For the corporate traveller or the visitor seeking a polished, geographically convenient showcase of the city's skyline, this represents an entirely sound choice. For those seeking an experience whose flavours linger as long as the view, the kitchen has room yet to grow into its magnificent stage. Service is attentive and well-intentioned, though it can occasionally want for the depth of knowledge that elevates a good meal into a memorable one. LOUIX LOUIS is, in sum, a very good restaurant striving -- not quite yet arriving -- at greatness. The bones are exceptional; one hopes the culinary vision will, in time, catch up with them.

I found myself wanting to try most of the cocktails, which is a rarity. The Strawberry Tetsu tasted like a dessert and was delicious, with a graham cracker crumble rim. The Cloudy Oolong had a strong tea taste which I loved, as sometimes the tea can get lost in a cocktail. The foam on top was addicting and paired nicely with it, similar to a bubble tea.
