Chicken soup

This tiny gem in Melrose is seriously worth the visit if you're craving authentic Thai food with bold flavors! We started with the shrimp donuts, and wow--they were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. A great way to kick off the meal! I ordered the Ba Moo Poo (dry crab noodles with pork), and it did not disappoint. The pork was tender, the noodles were packed with flavor, and it came with a light, aromatic chicken broth that added a nice contrast to the dish. The bok choy in this dish was super crisp and fresh--such a nice touch. We also tried the crab fried rice, which might be my favorite dish of the night. It comes with a lime-cilantro sauce that has a little kick to it--just enough to elevate the flavors without overpowering the dish. Highly recommend it! Just a heads up: the restaurant is very small--only five tables that seat two each. They can push them together for larger parties, but be prepared to wait during peak times. That said, the food more than makes up for the limited space. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

TomYum Pad Thai and spring rolls

As always, another wonderful take out order from Bangkok! I had gluten free pad thai, no bean sprouts and spicy. It was the best fricken pad Thai of my life. I love them, love their food and everything about it here!!!

Cute small shop Staff was super nice and helpful. The food was ok. Tbh the best thing I ate was the wings. Had tons of flavor. Crispy. Delish. The Tom yum wasn't bad either. Didn't blow my mind though. The pad Thai is where I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't fried enough. The sauce was too sweet. It didn't blend. It felt like they just threw the sauce on the noodles, fried it for like 5 seconds and served it. There was no real color to the dish. It tasted purely like sauce.

Now this is a hidden gem for me. The front space looks like a cafe and inside is so cozy. They write specials on the wall and everything we got was delicious. The shrimp donut had a nice thin crispy layer and inside was stuffed with minced shrimp. The chicken satay was well seasoned. The diced onions and cucumber were in this umami pickle sauce. I could eat that by itself. The curry with the scallion pancake was so flavorful. The mango sticky rice was warm and every grain were tender. Our waiter was wonderful and informative.

Khao Soi: Delicious. Ingredients fresh and well-balanced. The chicken leg was really good with a nice, browned exterior and tender on the inside. Both the regular noodles and crispy noodles were tasty. The curry was delicious, with a bit of a kick to it. The Bangkok Ribs: nice glaze on the outside. I really like the marinade. It's so good. The ribs were really tender and fell easily off the bone. I wouldn't say prices are cheap, but they are reasonable. Portion sizes are good.

Pad See Ew Noodles with Crispy Chicken

A local spot across the street from the commuter rail stop, The Bangkok offers a variety of Thai and Vietnamese dishes. SPACE: Very limited seating (about 5 tables) so I don't recommend coming in large groups. I don't believe they have any restrooms either but it may have been hidden away behind the kitchen doors. PAD SEE EW: I ordered the crispy chicken pad see ew. The noodle to veggie ratio was very off - there were more veggies than noodles. I love noodles so was very disappointed. The dish itself was also more saucy that what I was used to so I wasn't a fan of that. The crispy chicken was the best part of the dish. BUN BO HUE: My partner ordered the bun bo hue and he mentioned that it was just mediocre. It wasn't as spicy as he would liked. THAI ICED TEA: Standard but delicious! I would recommend if you were thinking of grabbing a drink here. SERVICE: Food came out fairly quickly and staff was nice.

Tom yum Pad thai

Was in the area, got hungry, and noticed this restaurant. This is a small cozy little spot with street parking only. Staff was nice and food came out fast and hot. Ordered the Tom yum pad thai since I have never had that flavor pad thai before. I do not regret it at all. It was very delicious. I had it with chicken, which was not too dry. The noodles were cooked to perfection. Love the tom yum flavor in the noodles. The crushed peanuts is always awesome that adds a bit of a crunch to the chew. Portions of noodles to toppings and protein was good. This spot is absolutely awesome as far as my first experience went. I will come back for other dishes but as of now, I really recommend the Tom yum pad thai.

Cute little Thai spot. Very unexpected in Melrose. We ordered a few appetizers and they were all well prepared. The beef noodles was tasty. Definitely worth a visit if you like Thai Food.

Khao Soi Noodle Soup

For this establishment, my friend and I ordered a curry soup and a fried fish dish with skewered pork and Tom yum soup for appetizers. The skewered pork was delicious and tender. For the other dishes, I felt that the spice level as well as the flavor intensity were not strong enough. When it comes to Thai restaurants, I expect lots of flavor and lots of spices which I found lacking in the dishes. The food wasn't bad and I did enjoy it, but it fell below expectations. For the ambiance, it was small but it did have a cozy vibes. The only issue was that they had a lot of delivery orders so people would stand in front of the counter which made the place packed as well as leave the door open which made it feel cold. For service, the employees were professional and friendly. They were attentive and when I needed something, they made sure to help with the issue

Jumbo lump crab fried rice with egg, garlic and cilantro. Served with green sauce which was a great acidic/spicy compliment to the rice.

Thai ice tea - not overly sweet light and creamy after you mix it. Green Thai iced tea - more tea flavor shown thru this version i enjoyed this too! Larb chicken - amazing dish i really liked it, only comment would be maybe the minced protein toss some bigger diced chunks in too to soak up that cr*ck sauce! Basil chicken fried rice - spicy good flavor overall and chicken was plenty. I sort of was hoping they would have the signature like basil spice "glaze/sauce" they could do like other spots for basil dishes but they did not. It's good how it is though but if i was to get crispy chicken - def would need a sauce for my taste anyways. Red curry with salmon creamy extra spicy (you can choose spice level) salmon was cooked well in here and the flavor broth went so well soaked in the white rice! Bbq pork skewers - like your friends bbq where their folks went all out. Shoot perfect drinking food. Nampla chicken wings- really good fish sauce base wings! As a viet i love this style chicken wing. Glad we went with these over the fried batter version! Free shrimp crackers while you wait. Crying Tiger and their other sister shops all do well i feel. For your money, you get full and the foods good.

I am so hungry that I am going to order some more food. The portion is so small that is not even funny. They should also say that the sauce is spicy and for that reason I couldn't eat the small portion of vegetables either. I don't eat spicy food I am so mad. Update I went to this place with coworkers and it is so cute there and my food was delicious. Maybe I just ordered the wrong food. I will go again.

I love this soup I can drink it all day. Thai iced tea is also 10/10! Tastes super fresh and authentic, a must try drink. The beef eggplant dish was not good. Lacked flavor and color. The eggplant was super rubbery and the beef was dry and tough. I didn't like it at all. I also got a side of rice which was a lot more fluffier than the rice that came with the beef eggplant dish?? Idk what was going on there but the rice that came with the dish was too dry. Overall I did not have a good delivery experience and it is also my first time trying this place. I would've just kept the soup and iced tea and dumped everything else if I didn't have to pay so much for it.
