Food came out fast. Flavors were good. I ordered a Khao soi to go so am not sure how it tastes yet. Two things I would change is you need more filling for egg roll and Tom yum soup base need more shrimp flavor. I would use shrimp heads to boil in your stock as it adds more flavor. read more

I love this restaurant! It's really small and there's only four tables but I really love the ambiance of it and it's really easy to miss if you don't know it's there. I got a takeout order last night and it was done in less than 15 minutes which I was impressed by and the lady at the register seemed really nice! I feel like most people do takeout since there's such limited seating but there's a lot of people working in the kitchen. The grilled pork rice plate was really great, I think it's better than other restaurants I've tried in Malden. Pork had a lot of flavor and they give you more than enough veggies which I appreciated. I've been wanting to check this spot for a while and I am glad I finally did it on New Years day. My boyfriend and I were craving for something soupy and warm after NYE and didn't want to trek too far. This is only a 4 min drive from our place, so nothing to lose. Upon arriving, I noticed that this place is small, but certainly cozy. We were seated right away (no wait thank goodness). The menu is quite extensive with a mix of Vietnamese and Thai dishes - all so mouth watering with pictures. My boyfriend opted for the stew beef noodle soup and I ordered the duck noodle soup with Thai iced tea. The broth of the beef noodle soup and duck noodle soup is unbelievable. It is so hearty without it being too salty. There is a slight distinction between the two noodle soups - I'd say the beef noodle soup is bit thicker but both equally as amazing. The duck was super soft and juicy, which was surprising to me. Most places offer overcooked duck with no flavor. I am so in love. The beef was so tender and juicy. I normally eat noodle soups with egg noodles, but I actually like that they used vermicelli. Perfect amount of bean sprouts and Chinese broccoli in each bowl. The Thai iced tea was amazing too - it is light without having too much cream so all you taste is the natural flavor of the tea. I've recently become lactose intolerant, so I was afraid my stomach will not feel well, but I had to order it anyways and I am glad I did! This was the best meal to have after a night of drinking. Very cute little Thai restaurant in Melrose. I love the brightly lit and whimsical decor. The birch tree stencil on the windows, the decorative pillows, the chalkboard wall with specials and other little details. I was curiously drawn to this restaurant by claims that this restaurant has very authentic Thai dishes. One of them being the Khao soi. I don't particularly like this dish simply because of the sweet curry flavor. There is a whole chicken thigh in this curry noodle soup, yellow egg noodles, and bean sprouts, pickled cabbage and other vegetables garnish. The second dish is a clay pot cellophane noodle with two giant prawns. My husband thought the prawns tasted frozen and not fresh. Overall, I like the uniqueness of the dish. I have never had anything like it before at a Thai restaurant and I would have it again. The portion however is very small and you would need to order an appetizer otherwise you would be leaving hungry. We also ordered the Thai spicy beef salad. The flavor was on point. The only thing I wish was for there to be more vegetables for color and texture. We also ordered the curry beef penang. The beef tendons were very chewy. I wouldn't recommend this dish for that reason. If we hadn't ordered so much food, I believe the Indonesian fried rice would have been amazing because it looked amazing. Sadly we ordered way too much to be able to fairly rate this dish. Thai iced tea was standard. We never have room for dessert. Service was extremely friendly and prompt. Too cold to sit in the restaurant during winter months. Each time the door opened, I felt a blast of cold air. This restaurant is in a small town north of Boston. We were enroute to another town, but wanted to stop somewhere first and have lunch. Yelp app to the rescue. This place was so good, I'm going to have to plan my detour here next time I'm in the area. First off the restaurant is tiny -- only 5 small tables in a narrow space in an historic building. They do a big takeout business and during lunch hour pack up. So my advice is to come here early or late. We were slightly later, so that helped us get a free table. By then, I was hungry so I wanted to try everything. The menu is a mix of Thai and Vietnamese including Pho and quite a number of items called my name. I started first with an order of Bangkok Baby Back Ribs from their small platter section. The four meaty ribs were not crispy nor like seasoned like Chinese spare ribs. They were bigger, 4 to an order, but covered in a very tasty bean paste marinade and sprinkled with scallions. For my entree, I chose one of their traditional Vietnamese rice vermicelli dishes ("bun"). They offer several with different meats or tofu. I chose their grilled lemongrass pork. A large bowl came out with shredded lettuce, topped with bean sprouts, scallions, a sprinkle of ground peanuts, cucumbers, and the warm noodles. On top of this was just cooked grilled pork pieces. A small bowl of homemade sweet/vinegary sauce (Nuoc Cham) with carrot slivers is served on the side as your "dressing". Most people pour this over everything. I like my noodles less soggy so I usually add half and use the rest to dip the veggies in. I had also added on a summer roll for an additional $2. They served some peanut sauce on the side in which to dip the roll. Prices are quite reasonable compared to what we've paid for similar items in south Florida. So our detour turned into a really good lunch stop of authentic cuisines -- leaving us with full stomachs, and happy smiles... read more

We ordered online from their website and picked up for takeout - it was super busy as we had to wait around 15-20 minutes in the pick up line even though we had scheduled our order for a specific time to pick up (6:15 pm but didn't get our order until 6:35). However, we eventually realized why this place has established itself as a local favorite! We ordered the Bangkok baby back ribs, drunken noodle, and Indo fried rice. The ribs were so tender and fell right off the bone, and we loved the thick sauce it was covered in. The drunken noodle and Indo fried rice were both packed full of flavor and were balanced in the variety of vegetables and meat. They were both spiced extremely well. Also a bonus, the portion sizes are very generous. As I mentioned before, the only thing to note that due to their well-deserved popularity, it's a busy place. Their line for pick up was fairly long, and since it's a small establishment, you may have to wait outside. There is only one person taking care of everyone's pickup orders, fielding constant phone calls to take orders, and also taking care of anyone who may be dining in. We were there on a Saturday night, so maybe a weekday night would be better to avoid the crowds.. anyways, the place was definitely worth the wait for us and I would highly recommend trying it out. Friendly greeting and offer of menus to look over at our table were appreciated. Bottle of water and cups were delivered promptly. My wife and I chose to share the Bangkok Baby Back Ribs ($7), as she waited for her Bun Thit Nuong and I ordered a bowl of Tom Yum ($4). My soup arrived at the right spice level and temperature that I love! As our entrees arrived, I ordered a glass of fresh squeezed Limeade (delicious)! My signature Bangkok Salad ($8) was a beautifully arranged assortment of lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, peppers and preserved carrots topped with hardboiled and a wonderful Thai Chicken Satay and accompanied with a Thai peanut dressing. Hubby, a friend and I were in the area for a town faire which didn't have many food options and we didn't have a lot of time to read all of the reviews before heading here so the overall yelp rating helped us decide to try this place. Mostly a take-out place with a few tables inside. We were led to the one farthest away from the door. The first thing I noticed upon entering is the floor is very slippery and my friend concurred. We both had sneakers on and it felt like oil under our feet?? Our server was a young lady who was very friendly but very busy with takeout orders. We ordered a steamed dumpling appetizer (of 6 dumplings) which came pretty quickly. They didn't taste house made to us but pretty tasty. We also ordered a pho but didn't specify getting it before our entrees arrived as we assumed we'd get it first; however, the entrées started coming out before any signs of the pho. My friend ordered the steamed chicken and vegetables with ginger sauce on the side and my hubby ordered the same but with a garlic sauce and a chicken pad Thai. I ordered the grilled steak rice dish. The pho arrived after the two chicken and vegetable dishes. The chicken in everything was over cooked for us but the ginger and garlic sauces were very tasty. We loved the broth in the pho, rich and flavorful but not salty. The pad Thai was excellent with the exception of the chicken being over cooked. My getting grilled steak contained some good pieces but some tough ones too. I would've preferred it medium rare but it came more medium well. I requested sticky vs jasmine rice and thought it was on the drier, crunchier side. Although our server seemed to be in the dining area with us most of the time, we didn't find her too accessible. I'm glad we tried it but would not go out of our way to return. Note that their bathroom is not easily accessible. You have to exit the restaurant and go around the block to the rear of the building and enter through their back door in order to use the bathroom inside their unit. Didn't find it too bad on a nice sunny day but would not like to have to do that on a dark cold, snowy night. read more

My favorite Thai restaurant! They are very much a takeout place but I enjoy going into the restaurant it's cute and small inside andthe staff is very nice and attentive. The food is always hot and fresh. Pad Thai is some of the best around, yellow curry is so delicious and slightly spicy but you can pick your spice level if needed. I also get pho sometimes and it is so flavorful hot and fresh. Love this place. read more

YES! I'm so happy! This place is great. I started with the crab rangoon and was nervous because I just really love crab rangoon. It was the perfect amount of crunch and filling and NOT TOO FRIED like they always are. They aren't ridiculously heavy and I'm going to eat the whole order by myself and not feel like crap. There may be 5 in an order but not sure because I ate them so fast. Pad thai was shrimp is also perfect. You get 6 shrimp and they even remove the tails - thank you! I don't like having to pull them apart when I'm trying to eat. Squeeze a little lime over it (comes with it) and you have the most delicious pad thai. Happy girl. P.S. We're definitely lacking in a good pho place in this area. When I came here though, I decided to go for Thai food because the staff looked more Thai than Vietnamese to me. Unlike most Thai restaurants, they don't have lunch specials. :( They do have a beautiful sunny table near the window if you come in during the off peak times. I appreciate the carafe of water instead of having to ask for refills. The kao soi noodle I got was alright. Reading the rave reviews upped my expectations maybe? There was not much in it aside from a chicken leg and the noodles themselves. The portion was modest (appreciated when I'm wearing a onesie but otherwise not). No public restroom and this is a very tiny place with seating for about 8 people total. Parking is not easy here, look for street parking behind the main buildings. read more

I love this place. I go at least once per week and order the sriracha pad Thai with chicken and a side of gyoza. However, last week I was absolutely stunned by the lack of attention to my order. First, I order to pad Thai but get half the normal serving in each container. It was like they only made one serving and realized it was for two, so just split it. I called the restaurant and they were very sorry and offered me a credit for a pad Thai for next weekend when I order it again. However, I also order a side order of Tom yum soup. Bangkok Thai is the only place that gets all the flavors right. It's sweet and spice and delicious!!!! But they got the order wrong!! I ordered it with shrimp and got it with chicken. I honestly don't know what was going on that day, but I was annoyed. This is not the service I usually get. Still my best Thai restaurant in the north shore. For the adventurous eaters, I just discovered their Thai menu - chicken feet, spicy pork belly, boat noodle (herbal soup with dark soy sauce. you may want to ask what kind of meats they serve. the authentic version will be meatballs and pig's liver), bone broth soup, papaya salad, Yen Ta Fo (seafood noodle, the broth is pink from fermented soybean paste). Food presentation definitely improved throughout the years. Now it's too pretty to consume! read more

I have ordered most of the Thai dishes from here from the Pad Thai to nearly all the curry dishes and other noodle dishes like the Pad Ke Mow and See Ew. All of them are phenomenal. I have not yet tried the Pho here so I can't comment. I would give these guys a 5 if the prices were more reasonable - definitely on the higher end for a takeout/delivery joint. This is a cute little Thai eatery. Cute cozy bright decor; seats about 12.... restroom on the other side of the building and a inconvenience ( have to go outside and around the building). We ordered the som tum ( I asked for extra spicy), sai Goa (sausage), sticky rice, khao soy, and also, duck noodle soup. I thought the sausage and som tum was phenomenal. Everything else was good, it is authentic but Kind of too sweet in the soup, needed more heat. Just my preference. The Thai tea was also as expected. Will go again for home cooking. read more

I was excited to try this spot when I saw the awesome reviews and photos on Yelp. Thai food in Boston is really good, but I could tell this place would be a little more special... And it definitely met that expectation. You can really tell they put a lot of care and thoughtfulness into each of their dishes, from the flavors and ingredients to the presentation. Some of our favorites were the kao soi, green curry dipping sauce as part of an appetizer, the pho, and the drunken noodle. The interior is small, but my group of 6 was able to sit together on a Friday night without a wait. The only downside is that the restroom is in the back of the kitchen which means that guests have to walk out of the restaurant and around the block to get to the back. It's not so bad in the summer but I'd imagine it could be a pain in the winter. So, try to avoid using the toilet if you can! Can't wait to go back to try some more dishes! read more
