My friend and I utilized a Groupon (2 for $42, which includes five classes--I think we have two or three months to use them before it expires). I went to my first pole dancing class in north Dallas last month--it was WAY more expensive and definitely not as inclusive. Although PBWF didn't do the burlesque like the other one did. The dance studio is small but they have about ten or so poles that spin (I call them "cheater poles", hehe). There were only four students total so the class was VERY intimate and I felt like we got extremely good instruction from Mel, who was VERY polite and friendly, just all around personable. She offered lots of praise and support which is just what us newbies need. I am definitely not the best pole dancer--I do it more for fun because I'm just too goofy to really take it seriously, which of course it SHOULD BE! Haha. By the end of class I can say I am able to successfully do one spin (the very last one, a sideways trick), which I think is actually the more complicated out of the others she taught us--how I got it, I have NO CLUE! Next class I want to work on my "sexiness" and coming out of the trick. I really hope we get Mel again. I would definitely consider doing a series of classes, just for fun, no real reason--and I'm not a dancer AT ALL. But it's a great workout, and that's what I really like. read more

Tee is everything life should be: amazing spirit, knowledgeable and soo fun! I came over the weekend for a beginners bar class and felt like my inner vixen was able to play. As someone who is a plus fitness blogger being able to feel comfortable and feel like I can enjoy myself is extremely important. AMAZING instructors. I have learned so much in one day with only attending 2 classes as a first time comer. I would totally recommend to anyone wanting to try out pole and dance fitness. Hands down a great experience. I bought the 5 classes punch card and my first class so much fun! They are serious about their mission and that's what I love the most about Power Bar! I've never taken a pole class and they were there to make sure i understand and get every move correct! Recommend 100% and i will be going back! Okay so I had never done a pole dancing class and I was so nervous to do it because I always thought you had to be skinny to pole dance. However, KayCherie started the class by making sure we didn't compare ourselves to anyone and that we feel confident in our own skin. The class was so much fun and a great beginners course! I've been wanting to try pole dancing for years but never got the courage to sign up. Well, I'm glad I chose Power Bar as my pole fitness studio. They are very friendly and helpful. Hands down the one of the best pole studio's I've ever been to. Every instructor is positive and encouraging. Your age, size, & fitness ability is completely irrelevant, they will work with you patiently until you get the moves down. Awesome classes, killer workout. It was super fun and I will definitely be pursuing a membership in the future. My first class was Bar Babes with Kai. A basic introductory class that makes you feel very welcome. Power Bar is a great little studio! I have been dancing there since they opened in August and I really enjoy the pole classes. They make it easy and affordable to rent space for private practices and photo shoots as well. I would recommend this studio to anyone in the area who wants a fun, challenging workout! read more

I tried a beginner class this past Saturday and the teacher, Rose was a blast to learn from. It was a nice class and I didn't feel intimidated at all. Some moves I got and others, not a chance, but the class was fun and my body defiantly felt like I had a hard workout the day before. read more

This is an awesome place to learn pole. You are challenged on different levels and your body will definitely feel a difference. Don't hold back do the 90 program if you really wanna do it. I graduated novice clas today and I can't wait to see what else I can learn. read more

Instructor was so nice and studio was nice. The 30 min class are more just warm ups if your use to working out. If you go do an hour class or both 30 min back to back. I will go back to do longer classes and get better at moves. read more
