Graduating from Dallas Skin Institute has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I've been in the spa industry for over 20 years--starting at the front desk, moving through management, becoming a laser technician, and learning from some truly incredible mentors along the way. With that background, I could have chosen any school and relied on my outside resources to shape me into the esthetician I wanted to be. Instead, I chose to go all in and attend what I truly believe is the best of the best. Dallas Skin Institute is different. The instructors are seasoned, the owner is genuinely involved, and the education is intentional and elevated. From the curriculum to the product lines--like Revision, which I genuinely want to work with in my career--to hands-on experience with advanced modalities such as Hydrafacial and microneedling, everything felt aligned with the level of esthetics I believe in. This experience went far beyond learning skin, anatomy, ingredients, and what happens inside a treatment room. It was about understanding why we do what we do--and learning so much about life along the way. At 37 years old, I can honestly say I learned more in these five months than I did anywhere else in my life. I went to TCU, and as valuable as that education was, this experience changed me in a deeper, more personal way. I am incredibly grateful to Patsy Charles and the amazing team she has built--Lily, Mo, Crystal, Adriana. They worked us hard, held us to high standards, and pushed us beyond what we thought we were capable of--but that is exactly why the outcome is so worth it. The sisterhood, the support, the bonding, and the energy of this school are truly special. Graduation feels bittersweet because I will deeply miss the girls, the energy, and everything that made this experience so unforgettable. I recently contacted the Dallas Skin Institute, left a message and was promptly called by Patsy and was very impressed at her kindness and just overall manner of answering my questions with caring. I contacted the Institute for information on permanent lipstick for my lips. I have a very noticeable pigmentation on my lips but mainly on my upper lip. I often feel down about my lips and have considered the permanent makeup many a times but to no avail due to cost. I have tried all the mood lipsticks available just to cover up. Im now 35 years old and raising 2 girls on my own 14 and 13, I work full-time and I am one class away of being a full-time student online. So it has been hard for me to find time or the money to do something for me that can be life changing, not because I am concerned on superficial things because I know that your health is most important, but if there is a way to bring a little a happiness into your life why not? Before I got the courage to call I would look at the Dallas Skin Institute webpage and research a little bit at all of their programs and I must say that it is truly impressive! They actually teach and perform beauty techniques that one can only dream for the rich and famous. Where do I start... I just recently took the permanent makeup class at Dallas Skin Institute and I must say it was pure amazingness! The teacher Patsy was wonderful and very inspirational too me. She makes you feel confident every step of the way. Her prices are amazing compared to the amount of knowledge you will leave with. She uses the best products in her practices which was very important too me. I was also lucky to also have Elizabeth(forgive me if I got the name wrong) to teach me. She was patient with me; especially when learning color correction, she is also a wonderful teacher. I was hesitant at first but the moment I walked in the door and class started I was 100% sure that I picked the best school to help me in furthering my education. They are both patient and will work with you and help you with anything and everything. Not only will you leave with more knowledge and a certificate but you leave with a machine to help you get started ASAP!!!! I will be back to take her other classes offered because I know from plenty of experience that there is no one better to teach me. I just finished a permanent cosmetics training class with Patsy and it was amazing!! I had looked and called around at other training classes before I chose to go with the Dallas Skin Institute and it was me speaking with Patsy that made my decision clear. She was very personable and reassuring, I had quite a few questions before I actually said yes to the class and Patsy was so comforting in the answers that she gave me! All throughout my training I asked random questions, weird questions, and maybe some silly questions but she answered EVERY single question I had and way more, I ran out of questions! She has a vast knowledge about what she is teaching and relates that to her students! I am so FREAKING HAPPY I trained with Patsy at the Dallas Skin Institute!!!!! I have more knowledge than I ever thought I would have after a training!!! Hey!! I first came to see Patsy Charles at the Dallas Skin Institute in October 2012.. It was hands down the best decision I made toward my career! I wanted to be able to offer something different to my clients back in Mississippi and Patsy helped guide me in the right direction. She gave me the knowledge I needed to be successful in permanent cosmetics, eyelash extensions, and electrolysis. You can't ever learn to much!! I'm currently a student at Dallas Skin Institute and my experience has surpassed my expectations I had before coming into this beautiful school. Dallas Skin Institute has many things that set them apart from other esthetician schools but the biggest one to me was their drive to want their students to be the BEST in our industry and the positive attitudes they fill each room with, each day ! I wish I could have taken my eyelash extension certification from Phi academy, they have way better and more knowledgeable teachers. yes they are more expensive, but after taking my certification here, I had to pay there anyway. They should hire better instructors, now i know that I know way more than the instructor that I had from Las Vegas, her techniques were odd and she kept asking the owner if that was correct, she bragged about being a makeup artist, but I am not too sure if she was even certified for eyelash extensions. Get your certification with PHI academy and do not spend your money here ! read more

I attended DSI as an electrolysis student. As soon as I met Patsy and Elizabeth I felt very comfortable and welcomed. They were very sweet, intelligent, well educated and passionate in the field and totally an inspiration to me. I felt very comfortable with my instructor and got to have one on one training. I feel like I'm ready, set and confident that I got the best training as an Electrolysis Technician. I am very happy that I achieved my goal and got my certificate from DSI. Patsy, is the best in DFW. I had a horrible job done on my eyebrows and I contacted her to she if she could help me. I was depressed my wedding is coming up and I didn't know what to do. When I spoke with her she was so confident that she could fix it before my wedding. She did my eyebrows look great now I am happy I feel better about my self. I have been a model twice at Dallas Skin Institute for spray tanning. I was skeptical about getting a spray tan because I did not want to look orange. I arrived and everyone there was polite! Patsy as well as the students were really nice and savvy. They were able to find me the perfect shade for my pale skin and they gave me a natural glow. I have received so many compliments on my tan and I love that it looks natural. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a spray tan! read more

I have been to Dallas Skin Institute once as a model and I would jump back any day and any time. Patsy is great. I received a spray tan...the 2nd in my entire life, and I absolutely loved it.
