My son received the worst haircut of his life by Angela. When I said his hair was ruined, she yelled at me, pointed to the door and told me to leave. She actually yelled, "You can leave. Get out!" She also said the manager allows her to yell at customers and kick them out if she feels they are "disrespectful". My 4 year old got into the car and said, "mama! Don't waste your money, stopped in for a simple fade and trim, something a so called "barber shop" should be able to accomplish with ease. I had the absolute displeasure of having my haircut by Angela. She was very pleasant to deal with and seemed confident in what she was doing so I payed little attention and just enjoyed the haircut and wash. The computer system ended up going down just before it was time to pay, she graciously (or so i thought) let me slide. Impressed with the gesture I returned with cash to pay anyway just because it was the right thing to do. A decision I now regret, upon returning home I was informed by girlfriend just how bad my haircut was, one side faded, one side almost a hard uneven line, and a weird almost "Z" dash to connect the two lines. I am very displeased how the business ethics have changed for this company. A men's barbers should be able to walk in, possible wait 5-10 mins, get a men's haircut and be done in 10 mins. 15 tops! To turn away willing customers to pay, to say that you don't take same day appointments is ludicrous. You have to make an appointment by calling in. I'm sorry, but are men getting hour long hair cuts that it requires appointments! It's an effing men's barber, not an effing salon. If I wanted to spend an hour getting my hair cut, I'd go with my wife to the salon. But it's not a salon. You need to peel the "walk ins" sticker from your door and change your name to "the salon". Lost me as a customer. Edit* Their response is due to the state of Oregon requires them to now schedule appointments. Makes no sense. And their fix is to have an online app to make appointments. What year am I in? How has this not have been made over 2 years ago? Why all of a sudden it's a pandemic thing? So I woke up in the morning and looked at my hair. I have the Asian "Fro" develpoing where it's starting to go over my ears. It's the summer and it's been about 8 weeks since I had my last cut. GF says "We have a weeding to go next week, so maybe it's time to chop off some of the hair" Me: "Yes dear" We drove to The Barbers and I went in, put my name down and watched TV. My name was called and I got into the seat and told the "barber" what I wanted. She complied and did what was needed to be done. At the end I was happy with my hair cut. I could feel the weight of the hair off me. Because of the hair cut I'm more aerodynamic. The problem with the place is I wear glasses, so those TV in front of the chair are useless blobs of color and noise. The experience was nice. I was offered a massage which I declined and the price $15.95, though higher than those crappy Great Clips places I think it's worth it. Went over to get my haircut yesterday. This was my second time getting my haircut here. The first time was good, this time, it was horrible. I asked for a basic fade and trim, and I thought that the girl cutting my hair understood, but when she cut it, she kept putting product in my hair while she was cutting it, trying to style it at the same time, which I thought was weird. She also kept using the thinning shears and I thought that was strange since I already have thin hair and it was unnecessary. When I got home I decided to rinse my hair to get the loose hair and gel out and I noticed that the cut was all uneven, with large strands of hair sticking out. And the top of my head wasn't even trimmed. She simply combed it over and gelled it so that I couldn't tell until I got home. What pisses me off even more is that I gave her a good tip. I will not be going back to this place because of the horrible job that was done to my hair. It was a mess and I had to re-do everything. Ive always felt the need to go somewhere overly nice to have someone spend a little extra time to make sure the job is done right, and I've always been hesitant to have a guy cut my hair. From the first cut, he took the extra time to cut my hair like he was cutting his own, no quick in and out cut, which always leaves me wondering why I went somewhere in the first place. He even has the education to tell if you if your moles are looking cancerous. As for the establishment...it's always clean, everyone is nice, and if it wasn't for requesting a certain barber, the wait time is never too long. I am a man who only gets a simple cut, and I'm not too picky about my hair. However, the ladies that had cut my hair had no skill, nor social skills. I've been there twice. Thinking the Lady who cut my hair first was just a bad seed. However, my second visit was even worse. Extremely friendly staff who really listened to what I wanted with my cut. My hair grows in a weird pattern and both barbers I have visited were able to blend my hair to perfection.
