This was easily the worst fade I've ever received. From the start, it felt like the haircut was rushed, yet somehow it still took nearly an hour and a half just to attempt the blend. Even after all that time, there were still harsh lines throughout the cut and the blending was extremely uneven. I respectfully asked for it to be fixed, but unfortunately the barber (Emily) did not seem to have the skill nor experience to correct it. Her arm was shaking the whole time and she looked like she had no idea what she was doing. I left with one of the most embarrassing haircuts I've ever had and had to immediately go to another barber and spend an additional $50 just to repair it. Even the new barber I went to told me whoever cut my hair did an awful job. I will not be returning to this barbershop. Emily clearly needs more training and professionalism before cutting clients' hair. read more

This location is close to work for me, which is extremely convenient. I usually call ahead half an hour and reserve a spot, and I am seated almost immediately, which is very convenient, especially on lunch breaks. I didn't use to have a preferred stylist, because I don't have a whole lot of hair left, so there didn't seem to be much point. However, even if Destiny is the best, and most personable stylist I've ever met, all of them have been competent, efficient and have given me the results I have wanted. The price is worth every penny, and The Works is where it is at! There's something about having someone else wash your hair that is pretty magical. read more

I need to preface this by saying we've had 4 or 5 great experiences here. My 5, now 6 year old requests to come here, even though it's a drive for us. He has had great cuts and experiences with all of the stylists in the shop prior to our visit today. Today we had a fella name Ryan (I believe). We made a 4:20pm reservation as a kids cut today, and he was the one that seated our little. Within a couple minutes he said he was moving around too much, even though I was watching our little - I reiterated that he needed to stay still. After a few more minutes, this guy said he couldn't go on because he was moving too much. I told him that he shouldn't be taking kids reservations if he can't cut their hair. He walked off and I told him he lacked patience to do his job. I took my little off the seat and spoke with the manager that was great and offered to finish his cut. With that fella still in the store I wasn't comfortable with it and I let her know he shouldn't be seating kids and that the experience left a bad taste for me. I ended up taking him to Supercuts in Washougal. Kelly at Supercuts was fantastic and said he was excellent and not wiggly at all for her. My little left happy with a sucker in his hand and I'm grateful for Kelly. read more

I scheduled an appointment and was told after arriving on time that they were backed up. I saw that two people were ahead of me. I don't know how one decides to get backed up when the only two barbers in the place were scheduling themselves. Just be honest and open when people call and drive 20 minutes to keep the appointment. I had originally asked for 11am but they told me that I needed to make it at 10:30 because that's what they had open. I've been a frequent customer at many of their locations. The shop is always clean and very friendly. They always offer a soda and popcorn while I wait. They even allow me to take a soda and popcorn out to the car for my wife that is waiting with our 8 month old twins. I always see Tamie. She is a busy lady and always have to call first thing in the morning to get in with her. She has always done what I have asked. Just recently I have grown out a small beard and asked her to trim it up and make the lines straight for me. She did this with no problem. Normally I enjoy coming here, as a single father I bring my kids here son and daughters as they are hair stylists not "barbers". They're really nice. My son is special needs, And with everything going on "Covid" I understand the need for 6-foot distance. But they either A, tell you special needs can't be served at this time bc i can't leave my son or he will become seriously anxious and start to freak out or B, make one stall a special area with a chair for a parent to sit. Not hard and no harm to tell me they can't help me right now. But to treat me like I was is ridiculous. Time to find a new place to bring my kids. read more

I'm not one to usually leave bad reviews, I like to figure that it's one bad a experience. I've been here 3 times, 3 different barbers cut my hair, and every time, the result is very underwhelming. Can't listen to instructions (ie how much I want cut off) and definitely cannot do a solid fade. To anyone who's hair is actually important to them or likes a clean fade, spend the extra $13 and go to Craft of Man. 3 stars only because their pricing is the lower end, but when you pay $22 for a haircut, you're getting a $22 haircut. read more

I was looking for somewhere to do my son's first haircut (he is almost 16 months old) and there aren't any "kids" haircut places around. I called and asked if they cut toddler's hair and they said yes, scheduled a same day appointment (which is the only reason they get two stars from me), and recommended bringing some snacks. When we got there, we waited 15 minutes past our appointment time, which isn't the end of the world, but were then told they couldn't do his haircut if he couldn't sit in the chair on his own. I'm not sure what 15 month old would be able to sit in a barber chair on their own for their first hair cut, all while sitting still enough to safely have their hair done. When I told the employee that I let them know his age and that it was his first haircut over the phone she just passed the blame off and said it wasn't her who answered and that they had new people. I totally understand that miscommunication happens, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. read more

I'm very picky when it comes to my hair so it's hard for me to trust someone new, but whenever I go to this location I have always walked out feeling great and getting compliments on my cut. I stopped going to super cuts almost 20 years ago. I got a hair cut from this location that reminded me why I stopped going to super cuts. I hate to write negative reviews, but my cut was awful. The cutter was very, very nice, But she must be very new or she just lacked the basic skills for a basic hair cut. Uneven trims, the hair lengths on one side are longer than the other side of my head. The top is just a mess. I contemplated asking for a fix, but I wasn't confident she could and risk having to buzz cut it all. I'll have to find elsewhere to get it done right. read more

I hadn't had a haircut in a while so it was a hot mess, but she was able to give me a look giving George Clooney a run for his money. I had to work today, so my 16 year old son went in by himself to get his haircut. He brought in a picture of what he wanted and told the lady doing his hair that he wanted it a bit longer than the picture but the same style. He came home with a military style cut WAY shorter than the picture, and said the lady didn't really seem to know what she was doing and took almost an hour to do it. It took her three times to even make change when he paid, she couldn't figure out how much change to give him out of $40 for a $20.95 haircut. I asked if he got the shoulder massage like is advertised, and he said for two seconds. It sounded like such a cool place to send him from what I'd read from the website. We went in on a Tuesday night at 5pm. We were told that it would be a 40 minute wait. They have TV's on showing a basketball game so we decided to wait it out. There were only 3 people working at the time and they seemed busy but it didn't concern me because they were running a special. I expected it to be a little busy. As soon as we sat down one of the three hair cutters decided it was break time and dissapeared for 30 minutes or so leaving only two people to cut hair in what I am guessing is probably the busiest time of day. Pretty soon the 40 minute wait turned into 70 minutes. We should have left but at that point we were invested with time we already sat there. As far as the hair cut goes, it was fine. Nothing special. The prices are similar to Sports Clips. I've determined that if I'm going to pay that price for a hair cut I will go to Sports Clips from now on. read more
