As we continued…read moreto train, he became less reactive and most importantly, I learned how to be sensitive to it and act appropriately to bring it under control. We, the humans, often need more training than the dogs do. My current girl has been training with Deb since she was four months old. I am a big believer in constant training for socialization and fine tuning. Deb uses harnesses rather than choke or pinch collars. I was skeptical at first but now find I have better control with my big dogs and I know I am not hurting them. (She sells the harnesses at her cost. You can buy them online and pay more.) The people that I have met in class have often been clients for years and that really says something. There have been a few I have seen not want to do the work and then complain. If you pay a trainer with great credentials as Deb Moody has, why wouldn't you follow her advice and instruction.

Love Aries! Used a different day camp previously, which was ok but this is definitely on another…read morelevel. Staff are super attentive and nice, know my dogs Luna and Moody, take great care of them, they're always happy to go in, just waltz right in. Also good seeing consistent staff, same faces which was not the case at the previous place we used. It's all indoor, separated by weight which is also one of the best parts of Aries. Currently only open Tuesday through Friday likely due to staffing. Wish they were open more days! They are a little more expensive than the previous place we used, but worth it. Kong meal/snack is extra or included however you wanna look at it. They do have packages to bring the cost down, pay more up front for multiple days. I think comes out to about $27 a day with the package. They do have an extensive weeding out process which is good because it ensures only quality dogs are there, make sure they get along with other dogs, do ok in the kennel for a period of time. They also require vaccinations and tick/flea prevention. Notes I took when considering them v. Others: * Fecal exam giardia, parasites and coccidia within last 6-8 months * Flea and tick treatment, natural essential oils too ok * Intro 15 min then 1 hr later day free, T-F 830-1030 or 130-330 * hours: 7-1115, crate till 1245, back out till 415 then crated until end of day 6 * $1 per meal regardless if bring food or not * All indoor * No vet on call but has set up with vet nearby * No overnight * Grooming $45-55 * Walk in daycare * $30 full day * Buy 9 get 1 free or buy 17 get 3 free non-refundable Hope this helps other neurotic pet parents like me! Granted, there is a strange trend in Santa Fe: groomers label themselves "pet groomers" online when in fact they only groom dogs. If that's the case with Claws No Mas it would have taken five seconds to respond with that information.
