This is the cleanest and most well run kennel I have ever seen. We needed day care for Rocky while visiting Santa Fe for Christmas. We lucked out finding available space here. The kennels where the dogs are kept were the mostly soundproof plexiglass rooms. All were spacious with Kuranda beds and pads on top. There was absolutely no odor, whatsoever, nor any noise! The dogs were all calm and contented. The runs have outdoors access through a doggie door. Rocky was happy, tail wagging and ready to go when I picked him up. I highly recommend Top Dog. read more

They may be a good place to board your dog. I don't know. As for grooming, they completely ignored very specific recommendations from the owner of from me from the owner of my dog on what to leave and what to cut and they went ahead and cut whatever they wanted and turned my dog into a freak. I will give them zero recommendation as groomers. read more

When I dropped my two boys off for a 30 day stay, I tried to pre-pay on two separate occasions. Once when I dropped them off and then again a week later. they refused my pre-payment stating they only accepted payment at the very end. On the 30th day when I came to pick up my dogs, I stated that I did not have the full payment anymore because I had lost my home wrecked my car and my mother had died in front of me all within the span of two weeks. Because of the circumstances, I only had a partial payment. I said I could work out a payment plan with them that they refused stating I needed the full payment or they would not release my dogs to me. At the time I wasn't aware, but what they were doing was highly illegal. You cannot hold someone's dogs as collateral. They should've taken me to court for the payment. Instead the next day or so, so they gave my dogs away to a stranger. One of my dogs has severe epilepsy and his medication costs $200 a month just to keep him alive and I'm afraid that his medical condition may have caused him his life at this point. They will not give out any information as to who they gave my dogs to. I have offered multiple times to make payments since then, with the hopes that they would give some information as to what happened to my dogs, but they won't. The owner specifically said to me that my window had closed and that she would not give out information about my babies who I had since birth until they were six years old. I have since taken legal action and have made a police report now that I know what they did was illegal. Be careful where you take your dogs because you never know what could happen. read more

I have not used their services, but I visited when looking for a place to board my dog. I would be very comfortable boarding my dog here. The place was spotless and each dog had a pretty big area with both indoor and outdoor access. Also, they play with the dogs. My dog does not like being in a group of other dogs so this set up of individual suites works great for her. read more

Very pleased with the facilities and service. It is expensive, but what isn't anymore! It's pretty much what you would pay for any kennel in town, with newer, cleaner, superior facilities. Staff are helpful and nice. They send pictures of your dogs while you're away! The extra small fee for paddock time is super worth it! The exit bath was a little pricey, but worth the convenience for us! The pricing on grooming is not very laid out or as clear as other services, so I would advise making sure pricing is discussed prior to requesting the service. read more

Honestly, I couldn't be more pleased. I had a tour first and one of the on-site managers, Manny, showed me and my friend the entire (clean, new, beautiful architecture) facility. Today I brought my Terrier mix, Dulce Vita, in for a full grooming and I waited in the pleasant air conditioned front office. During that time I got to spend time with the resident cat-manager (Tombo, aka Wrecking Crew) who is a rescue cat from the Houston hurricane; visited with owner David, and enjoyed chatting with people coming and going. When Dulce came out he looked like a new being. His grooming was beautifully done and Sharon checked with me a couple times throughout to ask if I wanted her to do it this way or that. Super bad vibes at reception so we didn't end up leaving our dog there. One of the staff tried to put a choke lead on our dog, and I told her he had a vertebrae issue so we always use a harness. She said I could come back with her then, and to make a note on his form, but then the owner (I think) at the front desk said "oh they all have neck issues," and kind of waved away our concerns. He has a fused disk in his neck that causes him a lot of pain if triggered, so no, please don't wave that away. She also seemed annoyed when he sniffed at a Christmas tree inside and said "please don't let him pee on that," which he hadn't, also it's a tree in a place with a lot of dogs, so... I think maybe she held a grudge against him because he barked at a puppy who was behind the desk with her? She also tried to hurry us into the back, like "Get out of the walkway," even though literally no one was there but us and all my dog was doing was quietly standing next to me at the time. Probably he would've been fine but my partner and I really really really didn't like the tone and attitude of the owner so we didn't feel safe leaving him there for the day. read more

After searching for year to find a kennel and groomer I could really trust to take care of our two small dogs, I found Sharon and Top Dog Pet Resort. It is the cleanest, most beautifully designed kennel I have ever seen. They have thought of everything. Sharon is able to groom our very anxious dog and can cut his nails alone. I was a nervous wreck about leaving my Papillon in a kennel for the first time. The owners and the staff of this new kennel in Santa Fe assured me that he would get the best of care, and they were right. It is the cleanest and most beautiful kennel I have ever seen! While I was there I also saw a dog coming from the back after being groomed and he looked gorgeous! The owner said he never looked better. When I picked up my little guy 4 days later I was shocked to find him perfectly calm and not in any hurry to leave! Obviously well-treated because he turned around and went back to give a little kiss to the helper who brought him out to me. It was the first time I picked up a dog from a kennel that he didn't stink! He was as clean as when I left him. Actually, there is no aroma at all in that place to let you know they even had dogs there! Highly recommended to any nervous dog parent. I might even go on another vacation now! I also peeked into the cattery which was unlike any I had ever taken my cats to. Two cats were out playing in the room in what looks like a colorful cat gym! They were having a blast jumping on all the shelves and tunnels and chasing each other around. Might take my cats there next time too. I think they would have a lot more fun with the attention there instead of having a pet person just come and feed them a few minutes a day. I am so glad this place opened up!!!!! read more
