Recently, the finish was coming off the shower head and it was an unsightly mess. After contacting the company it was revealed that the shower head was not the same one that I was lead to believe it was based on the contract, but it was still under warranty, so they had the manufacturer send a replacement and Custom Bath Remodeling told me if I wanted them to install it they would charge me $900.00! I paid twenty-two thousand for this Bath remodel and they wanted $900.00 more to switch out a defective shower head! That seems excessive and poor customer care, particularly given it was not the correct shower head to begin with. It is disheartening and disappointing that they do not go the distance for their customers.

Every evening we would receive a call from the office letting us know what time the team would be here in the morning. Though we typically had a different 2 man crew each day based on what needed to be done, the daily experience was consistent - friendly, polite, hard-working workers who showed up on time at 8 a.m. and worked until at least 5 p.m.. Floors and stairs were covered with tarps each morning and cleanup was done after each days work. There was some rework needed and a flickering LED bulb issue that extended the project completion date a few weeks. That nearly caused me to lower my rating, however, this company stands by their work until the client is fully satisfied. For flickering LED light bulbs, if the problem is not an incompatible dimmer switch or fixture, I highly recommend the LED light bulbs at flickeralliance.org. After the rework was completed, JP completed the job with meticulous final touch-up painting. Thanks to all who worked my renovation. The workers who did the installation were very nice and professional, and I paid $175 for the installation. About a month or so later, the plastic sprayer part began sticking and would stay on. The hose itself was fine. One day I noticed a Cullen Plumbing van at my condo complex and saw that they were already doing work in my building. I left a message explaining the problem and said that if they happened to have time to look at it while they were already there, that would be great, but that it was not an emergency and they could come whenever it was convenient. Marc stopped by my unit that same day and agreed that the plastic sprayer part was not working properly. He asked whether Cullen had purchased the faucet or whether I had. I honestly could not remember at the time because I had been hospitalized with sepsis in December, which had significantly affected my memory, among other things. Marc replaced only the plastic sprayer part. There was no hose replacement, and the part took just a few minutes to swap out. I did not receive a bill at the time. A few months later, while preparing to sell my condo, I was going through my Home Depot account and discovered that I had, in fact, purchased the faucet myself. I wanted to do the right thing, so I contacted Marc and let him know that I had purchased it and told him he should send me a bill for replacing the sprayer part. Imagine my surprise when I received an invoice for $190 -- more than I had originally paid for the entire faucet installation -- for replacing a simple plastic sprayer part that took only minutes, especially since Cullen was already working in my building that day. I had no problem paying a fair and reasonable amount for the part and Marc's time. In fact, I was the one who reached out months later to make sure I paid for it. But $190 for this particular repair feels excessive and, unfortunately, like a quick money grab after I tried to do the honest thing. I'm disappointed because my original experience with the workers was positive. Cullen Plumbing also does a lot of work at the new community I've moved to, but fortunately I've since received a referral to another plumber whom I'll be using in the future.

When the team arrived (late), they told me they had been instructed NOT to attempt the harder job at all. Had Baker Ellman the honesty to inform me of this beforehand I would have looked around for another, more competent company that could do both jobs. As it was, since I'd be charged for the visit anyway I had them do the easy job (a whopping $850+) and now have to find another plumber for the other job. DO NOT USE THEM.

We recently had an issue and had someone come for a repair. The tech quoted a number, to which I agreed, although it seemed high at the time. I expected to be able to review the bill for cost of labor and parts, but it came as one line item. When I called and asked for a breakdown, they said they couldn't provide it for me and they did lump sum billing now based on putting a job into their system. Now I feel like I am getting ripped off (the $1,600 discount to sign up for their membership reinforced this, what must the markup be?). Sadly it is impossible to prove otherwise since they won't provide any additional information on parts and labor rates. I will be going elsewhere from now on.
