That is the only downside to this place. They have some colorful paint on the wall that was nice. When you come in, you order your food and then go sit down and they will bring it to you. The food came out quick and it was not overly greasy. The cod had a nice batter and had a fresh clean taste. It was still moist and flaky. They were great sized also. As for the fries they came out hot and crisp. Some of the best fries I've had in a long time. The coleslaw was lacking flavor and depth but not a big deal. We got 3 sauces: tartar sauce was very good! The garlic aïoli had great flavor and wasn't overpowering. The ginger lime was very mild and wasn't a good choice in my opinion. Their ciders are great, I tried the Viking Cherry Cider and loved it so much I bought a six pack to take home, at $18 for 6 it was still absolutely well worth it. For food my coworker got the Fish and Chips, deep fried in beef tallow for those who avoid seed oils, and said it was excellent. I had a caesar salad and fries to go with my cider and it was a lovely meal. This will absolutely be one of our go-to spots when in Salem from now on.
