random cute gift finds... toys, magnets, jewelry, playing cards, books etc
    Sylvia H.

This gift and souvenir shop has almost everything you'd need! Gifts & Souvenirs / Shoes / Sunglasses / Swimsuits / Toys / Art & Art Galleries / Beach & Water Sport Supplies / Books / Apparel / Cold Beverages & Snacks / Travel Toiletry Needs Pros: -a huge variety of unique, cute and good quality items; suitable for travel/tourism supplies (sand and beach toys, sunscreen, cold drinks and snacks), apparel (shirts, flip flops, totes), souvenirs (magnets, key chains, shot glasses, ornaments... you name it) and just general gifts (toys, books, jewelry, knickknacks, tons of "your name" items including reusable grocery bags) -very large, roomy space; easy to navigate, very organized (separated by categories so it was easy to find the "area" that contained the merchandise you wanted), nicely displayed and clean -convenient location on the main strip in Coronado -super nice staff; Alan was really friendly, checked the back room to get me and out of stock item and even thanked me for alerting him to the fact that they needed to restock. He was super friendly and chatty/interested with/in the other customers too. Cons: -a little pricey compared to some other souvenir shops (most items are really nice quality though), but the gift items were reasonable I'll definitely recommend this place to visitors for souvenirs and general needs that might pop up while they are in the area. I got the cutest magnet and "Nuts About Work" bobble-head. I'll make a point to stop by next time I'm in town to check out what's new.

    FUCKING RIP OFF!!!!

They have a terrific paper selection, plus pens, wax and wax seals, Rifle products, watercolor paper and paint, and so much more. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. It's a charming place that paper and pen nerds (like me) won't want to miss! I'm sad that I didn't take any pictures (especially of their front window, which is always so cute!).

I walked into the store in hope of buying birthday presents for my female staff, as I was browsing every corner I got to the stuff on the back of one of tables, a young female staff approached in an awkward way from the other side with a disturbing load tone "can I help you with something", i was like, what?!!! Perhaps she assumed I intended to steal something from them which is very sad and frankly pathetic. Considering at that point, I hadn't even touched ANYTHING yet! When you have such a store packed with tiny cute items you should expect people browsing around and admiring what you have, instead by harassing them and trying to make them uncomfortable you are just going to go out of business very fast. I ended up walking out of that store in less than two minutes not buying anything.

In all our years residing in San Diego we took our first ride across the bay after the Coronado Bay Bridge walk. The views were the best, it took awhile to get on the ferry as the event hosted 10k runners and walkers heading back to San Diego There is some free parking nearby, Quaint shops and a variety of quick eat and sit down restaurants to sit on the water here. I always find myself spending at least a little time at the Coronado Ferry Landing each year. I enjoy the restaurants, stores, and even just sitting near the water reading a book. I am just as content being on my own there, being with my wife, or visiting with a friend at the Coronado Ferry Landing. The Coronado Ferry Landing has many great restaurants. I have enjoyed visiting Peohe's, Il Fornaio, Spiro's Greek Cafe, and Le Parfait Paris each year. In addition, there is Lil' Piggy's Bar-B-Q, Cocina 35 Brunch, Cold Stone Creamery, Coronado Coffee Company, Burger King, and Village Pizzeria. There are also many other restaurants nearby on Orange. For information and links to each of these restaurants, go to https://coronadoferrylanding.com/dine. There are also some great shops offering everything from designer shades and sandals to boutique fashions and great souvenirs. Some great shopping options include La Camisa Coronado, the Coronado Tasting Room, Vom FASS Coronado, Lisa's Boutique, and Miss Match. You can find links to each of these shops at https://coronadoferrylanding.com/shop. You can also find plenty to do at the Coronado Ferry Landing including bike and surrey rentals, bike and kayak tours, flagship cruises and events, and jet ski rentals. Find more about these at https://coronadoferrylanding.com/things-to-do. They also host concerts each weekend (https://coronadoferrylanding.com/events). Of course, you can actually take the ferry for $9 each way. In general, they are open daily from 10 AM to 9 PM. While I have shared links above, read more about the Coronado Ferry Landing in general on their own website at https://coronadoferrylanding.com. You can even sign up for their newsletter. As an amazingly picturesque location in Coronado with a lot to offer, I recommend that anyone visiting Coronado check out the Coronado Ferry Landing!

I got lucky and found metered parking near Camden Tuscany Apartments approximately three blocks away. Apparently there is also a Little Italy Parking Garage at 715 W Cedar St with a $5 per hour rate. [Merchandise]: This is probably one of the very few Japanese specialty gift shops in San Diego with a small section on Japanese stationery. Other items include tableware (plates, bowls, ceramic, and porcelain pieces), drinkware (mugs, glasses, teacups, and teapots), vases, plants, terrariums, and other cute Japanese trinkets / decor. [Conclusion]: This is one of the best Japanese giftware shops I have seen in San Diego; otherwise you will have to drive to Los Angeles for similar gift shops. Located in Downtown, it can be a bit of a pain to get to with all the parking and such, but it's totally worth it! Walking inside, I was immediately overwhelmed with the need to buy everything. There were gorgeous dishware, homeware, jewelry, stationery, incense, and more! If you're just getting into matcha, this is also a great place to start. They've got all your essentials, a good selection of matcha, and the cutest chawans! Best part is that everything is quite reasonable in price for the quality that you get. Do stop by the next time you're in the mood to peruse!
