I really really enjoyed this store. It was unique, dark, intimate, and very interesting. I spent a good 35-40 minutes in here just looking at everything they have to offer which includes: Baby clothes Candles and scents Birthday cards Decoration for the living room Kitchen items Jewelry and so much more All the items have a witty adult theme to it. It's meant for people who can appreciate a bit of sarcasm. The products seemed really well curated and intentionally thought of. If you get a gift for someone from here, they'll be hardpressed to find it in one of the major retailers. The store is in Little Italy and you essentially have to be walking by in order to see it. Other than the sign on the door, there's no flags, or signage on the sidewalk etc. to announce that the store is there or its open. Parking is atrocious given the area it is in. I lucked out and found a meter parking right in front of the store. I was at the Farmers Market on a Saturday morning beforehand and so it was clutch for me. Because the items here are quite unique you'll be paying for it. The prices are quite high. I think the owner was the worker we met. He was chill and also super chatty and it sort of distracted us as we tried to decide if we wanted to get a specific item for our living room.

The best boutique I have ever been in . From day 1 i was welcomed in with a smile by the owner Sean Barnes and was so excited to see all of the meticulously curated collection that was on display. I am a novice niche, perfume collector. Sean and Kenny have showed me some of the best smells. I have ever smell in my life. Over the few years I have purchased some really great perfumes and home goods as well. I won't go anywhere else for my perfumes . I can spend hours " which I have in this amazing shop" every time I come back there is always something new to see or smell or visualize. It's truly one of its kind and a piece of art as a whole .

I've been trying for months to get into this amazing retail store and for whatever reason, things just kept getting in the way. But today, I finally made it there. And glad I did. What an incredible shop and so glad we got to meet the owner and curator, Sean Barnes. He has very good taste and if you're looking for super incredible gift items for that super nice friend, this is the place you need to visit. Love & Aesthetics is the kind of place that you travel to, and shop for that friend that's very hard to purchase for. This store has so many unique items, you'll definitely find what you're looking for here. And if you still can't figure it out, ask Sean for assistance, he will gladly walk you through some great ideas. The main reason I came here today was for the fragrances. San Diego is a wasteland when it comes to niche perfumes and fragrances (if you don't know about niche fragrances yet, come talk to Sean and he'll educate you on how popular they are -- aka fragrances that none of your friends of family will be wearing and that will make you stand out from the crowd). San Francisco has two niche fragrance stores and San Diego only has this single amazing retail location. Go there, just for the fragrance collection and bring a credit card, they are not cheap, but so worth the splurge. ($150-$300 ish but know those will last a LONG time....the kind of fragrances that last from the time you apply to probably HOURS later and well into the evening) The selection of gifts, greeting cards, home decor and eyewear was exceptional too. Thanks, Sean for touring us through your amazing shop today. We'll definitely be back.....(that fragrance I applied is still going strong, some 4 hours later - I'll be back for that one very soon)

My friend brought me to this cute little home store in the heart of Little Italy. There were so many interesting home furnishing items that I wanted to purchase. I had to resist buying stuff, but the selection was refined and interesting. Parking was limited around this particular area, but there was 30 minute metered parking in front of the store.

This place is small but certainly packs a punch with all of the amazing things in their store. I have walked by this.place often and finally wandered inside. And left wondering why it took me so long to stop and shop. I found myself laughing out loud and some of the items in the store. I found some great gifts for myself and some friends. From hilarious hand towels to coasters. A coffee mug for myself. The customer service from the owner was top notch. You can sense his humor throughout the store and the items in the store. Stop by and check this place out if you have a chance. Support local businesses.

Quirky, Unique and fun all rolled into this little boutique shop located in Little Italy. My friend and I were strolling around Little Italy walking off a late lunch and stopped in here to browse. All kinds of merchandise fit for anyone who likes unusual gifts. There were candles, coffee mugs, jewelry, clothing, greeting cards etc. I ended up purchasing a couple Christmas gifts and for checking in received a 15% off from Yelp! Love it!

    Cool pop art.

This Love and Aesthetics location is waaay better than the North Park location. This location has the same type of knick knacks as the other location, but it seemed like the stuff here was more high end. I loved the ceramic animal lamps. I almost took the elephant lamp home, but it was a little pricey. There are a lot of great one of a kind gift ideas here. What really caught my eye were the wooden watches made from real bourbon barrels. I also saw some drink coasters that read "It's not drinking alone if you're pregnant." That was probably the funniest thing I've read on something in my life. These kinds of gifts aren't ones you just give to anyone. It takes a specific kind of person to appreciate this kind of stuff, preferably with a sick sense of humor. I will definitely be back to this shop to get birthday gifts for people I truly care about. I might even come back for the bourbon barrel watch. It is one of the coolest boutique shops I've ever been to. 5 stars!

Definitely check this place out in Little Italy. Unique and fun items that you won't see anywhere else. Seriously impressed with the selection of colognes, candles, and incense. Sean was super helpful with helping us choose a scent that we love. The jewelry was also incredibly unique! This was a fun shop to browse through and we ended up staying for quite a while.

Unique!! This is NOT your average gift shop, this is 10x cooler!! Super unique pieces of art in all shapes and sizes. I had to get a couple of things, everything they have here is so tastefully presented and is of true quality. The owner was friendly with us too and made us feel welcome, we were just visiting for a couple of days from out of town. Badass shop :)

I love that they wrap purchases in pretty tissue paper, making every gift feel intentional and ready to give. The store is full of little treasures, so take your time -- there's a lot to explore. I love boutique stores but hate when they follow you around/pressure you to buy. A hello, asked if we need anything, and friendly service on the way out. Service 5/5. Simple yet effective. Select is adorable. Some expensive but they do have quite a few reasonably priced items. I originally went for a journal and really love the selection of everything they had. Fun artsy items. Also seemed to carry alot of smaller business (which I love!) If are looking for cute niche items -this is your place. I will be back! :)

I then went back to do a little holiday shopping, and have been back many times since. I am also happy that the shop continues to host a spirt stop on the stroll. Kiko + Sven is a tiny shop with a lot of cute items. Some appear handmade and other are just cute or unique. They probably have more jewelry than anything. It is mostly dainty gold and silver, some with long beads and some made from clay. They have a back wall that is full of greeting cards, and a section of toddler and baby items. There are usually quite a few candles and soaps, and a small amount of cocktail/cooking supplies. All of it calls out to me... and makes me want to spend money. They also have a rack of clothing in the shop, and usually a sale rack outside. I have bought a couple of tops and a cute shawl there in the past, but since the selection is so small, I often don't find any clothing that either is my size or style. I think it is a great shop to browse and find something unecspected. As it is very small, the times I went looking for something more specific for gifts, it has been a bit hit or miss. Their stock varies over time and you may or may not luck out. All in all, if you are shopping or eating on Adams, go check it out. It's really fun to browse and you may find something you like.
