Amazing place! Beautiful location, great food and beer, nice staff. Could have spent the whole day here. Was worth the drive for sure!

So we ( my Wife and Daughter ) decided to go check out this Restaurant in Buena vista. We Saw it on Facebook it looked very nice. We Love the town, loved the Atmosphere. We needed to get out of Denver for the day. Life is just a bit rough for us this year .We ordered couple burgers and some fish tacos. They forgot to add cheese on my burger ( not busy at all ) not a Hugh deal so I asked the I guess bartender-waiter they forgot to add cheese. He seemed annoyed.. My receipt said no cheese but on my order it said cheese. He proceeded to toss it back to the kitchen and after a few minutes he handed me my order and looked right at me and said " Next time order this right"?? Then I asked for some ranch. He said wow man you're killing me, starting filling a plastic cup I said can I get 1- more?... ( actually it was more like Blue cheese) set the bottle down and said get it yourself and walked away...... I think the place is awesome the food and this guy?? Not so great. Would I return.... Probably but I'd bring my own food. And Ranch!! read more

Great ambiance, okay food, but be willing to be patient and spend some time here. I want to start off saying that I really wanted to love this place! The ambiance and location is by far 10/10. It's just unfortunately evident that they are severely understaffed for weekend service. The staff were all super kind and treated us nicely but everything took way longer than expected. We were told 20 min wait for a table that ended up being over 50. Another long wait to get our food with a total of spending over 2 hours there. Be willing to spend some time here. Food was okay but kind of pricy. Their French fries were excellent but the burger was a bit dry. After all of that, we were in a bit of a hurry to leave and make camp before sunset and unfortunately didn't realize I was given the wrong bill until the next day...aaaand ended up paying for 2 steaks instead of 2 burgers. read more

What a fun spot. Indoor and outdoor seating. Fireplace and fire pits for seasonal comfort. Nice music and incredible views. A great place for hanging out and enjoying nice food, tasty cocktails and the awesome riverside atmosphere. read more

Avoid this place if you have a dog. We sat on the patio for 30 minutes after a server promised to bring menus, but they never returned. I finally went inside to grab menus myself. When my partner went inside to order, a staff member came out and kicked me off our table, claiming they needed it for a large group--only to immediately seat two people there instead.To make matters worse, when my partner finally reached the front of the line inside, they were told we couldn't order for the patio due to a "new buzzer system." When we asked how the system worked, they said we had to sit inside to use it. But dogs aren't allowed inside! So, if you have a dog, it is literally impossible to get food here. It was completely disorganized and frustrating. When we were leaving another couple who had witnessed everything said don't worry the food wasn't good anyway. read more

We walked in the door at 6:15, were told 40 mins. until we would have our food. We literally waited 2 hours for our food. I really don't understand their weird process of ordering/waiting for your food. It just doesn't work. We expected to wait on a Sat. night, but this was crazy!! Into the parking lot and to the back and left of lot is where it sits. The food smelled wonderful though we didn't partake. Not much in the beer selection. The atmosphere is incredible. You feel like you are at a beach bar with the reggae-tones and volleyball courts but it's on a river. My wife had the mystery fish tacos and I had the Philly special. I saw how on their old menus they had them labeled as mahi tacos, but when I went it was just fish probably meaning it was Tilapia. The Philly meat was pretty good quality. You couldn't pick up the Philly it was more of an open face sandwich. The margs were pretty good, but no salt was offered for the rim. The food was okay, but the atmosphere is why you go. read more

We camped and rafted here at the RiverRunners and we wanted a break from grilling our own food for one evening. The food they serve up here at their little restaurant is dry and really sub par. When you only offer 4 or 5 different items, I hoped that they at least figured out how to perfect their small selection. Also their posted opening times are incorrect, as they closed at 8:00pm. Cute small brewpub right in the highway between Poncha Springs and Buena Vista. Small food truck on site and adjacent to the river rafting rental. There's a play set for kids and a cornhole game for the adults. I sampled their house Pilsner and it was very refreshing on a hot summer day. They also offer some canned wines and soft drinks. read more

Wow! I was impressed by the food here. It's a small little outdoor space so I wasn't expecting much but the food was excellent. The best for me was the pork belly banh mi sandwich! I want to come back to the area just to eat that again! read more

What a rad river side hang out. The food is amazing as we had the fish tacos and poke. Just a couple selections of beer, but the environment makes up for it as you're relaxin next to the river watching the rafters come in. Also when we were there we had some LIVE reggae music. Excellent views and very hardy tacos for the price of $14. My husband and I split them and both ended up full. Unfortunately, the day we came, taps were down and we had to opt for Coors Banquet in the can. Fun watching the kayakers, rafters, etc. read more

Open seasonally. Closes this year Aug 18. Pretty good food- we had a heavy carne asada burrito and a pulled pork sandwich that was acceptable. Super casual, but amazing local place that is great for families. Has a great little beach & sand/gravel pit with diggers for the kids. The food is fresh & tasty & the atmosphere is top notch.
