The Beanery has vastly changed from last season. Last season, you would order drinks in the pantry area, and there was a wide selection of options. Now, The Beanery and The Pantry are separate, and the drink options have become greatly reduced, while prices have increased. A large chai latte is $7.50. If you want to add oat or almond milk, it's an additional $1. They have about 4 seasonal drinks, but I am unsure about the price, but since the addition of one syrup is I think $1, they're likely super pricey. The coffee is not that great and it's not a local company- it's part of the Hyatt. If you're not staying on the mountain, I highly recommend getting coffee in town before your drive up. If this is your only option, don't have high expectations and be ready to fork over way more money than what the coffee is worth it. Overall I would not recommend. read more

I don't know what's going on with this resort... it's been in a decline for years in terms of service. This coffee shop is the only other food option because everything is closed and the only sandwich they have is an sausage egg and cheese pre-made soggy sandwich. McdDonalds is better and we hate mcdonlads. We've been coming here for years they used to have great smoothies and breakfast wraps...if someone in management reads this we're not being mean we're actually concerned. They serve artisan coffee, which is local and delicious. We were delighted by that but I'd say a bit pricey. It's basically in a resort so I get that, was just a bit annoyed about the 90 cents for the almond milk, which we weren't told you could just get for free when you get your coffee. The Beanery was one of the places I was most excited to visit while staying at the Lodge. It is located just steps outside of the lobby's lounge area. Our first visit we knew just what we wanted (hot chocolate), so we didn't even look at the drink menu. We also got a couple of cinnamons rolls. There's hardly any seating inside but we were the only ones there. That first day the girls behind the counter weren't rude, but they definitely didn't seem happy to be there. The next morning we came in and the girl behind the counter just stared at us for a while before coming out to take our order. While ordering another employee comes out and interrupts me and just starts talking to the cashier. They were very short with us and kind of rude. This is also when I found out they have pretty much no flavor selections for their drinks. Other than chocolate or caramel the only flavors they had were holiday ones (in February). This was disappointing because I like to shake up my drinks every day. They also seem to make their pastries different every day, as the cinnamon rolls that day were way smaller and a different shape. I tried the chocolate croissant instead. Only one bite had chocolate and the rest was hard and crunchy. At this point it was really crowded inside and all the seating was filled with others standing around so we left. Overall, I was disappointed with the service and selection here. It is really just the location that will bring me to return next time I stay at the Lodge. read more

Lines out the door for free coffee 6am to 10am in the morning when you stay at the resort. Completely dead after 10am. The coffee was not anything I could not live without. I love quality coffee. This is far from it. I will often give places a few chances. I came back in the afternoon to get treats for the children hoping for an ounce of redemption. Extremely old pastries. You can tell from the texture and frosting. The carrot cake was completely dry and dense. I'd venture to say it was previously frozen and possibly a week old or in the fridge for weeks. I so want to love this place but 1) the woman behind the register is rude and 2) they never have enough people working behind the counter. There could be a line of 10 people, and they only have 1 person behind the register and also making drinks. Painful. Also, be careful of being over charged! I've been here for a week and ordered the same thing every day. The rude woman behind the register tried to charge me $14 for an iced coffee and bottle of milk. This has been around $6 every day of our trip. I pointed out that this was incorrect... she was really bitter about it! Then she took the price down to $9 (still wrong), then $7 (still wrong) and finally to the right price. All while never apologizing and a scowl on her face. This is conveniently located for the guests of Stowe Lodge inside the village which is past the lobby. The coffee is good but should be better considering the high prices. I ordered a tall mocha which comes with two shots costing $6.89 total. read more

Service is slow, although smiles, they only gave me a half cup of coffee and the remaining half was whip cream, which wasn't half. They don't accept EPIC discounts. The coffee ordered was a Peppermint Mocha, I dont know what I got, but it wasn't that and it wasn't very tasty. Service is at a premium during the COVID freedom heist, and this place missed there moment to shine. Probably not the first or last ime they'll miss their moment. read more

Some of the best coffee I've ever had. I wouldn't doubt if they fresh brew each ordered cup. Their specialty beverages are not to be missed either -- especially the white chocolate latte (expect a beautiful leaf design in the steamed milk). The freshness and richness is overwhelmingly tasted throughout each sip of The Beanery's coffee. I look forward to it every time we vacation in Stowe. Their breakfast sandwiches are a force to be reckoned with as well! Fresh eggs, huge pieces of bread, farm-to-table cheese & thick cut bacon...they're sure to keep you full for hours; a great meal to have before hitting the slopes or venturing around Stowe. It's even nice to just sit with your coffee in The Beanery. It's located at the base of the mountain in the middle of the most adorable village so it has quite the view. read more

Because you're my friend I'm going to tell you to avoid the breakfast sandwiches here. They're big, but not worth their price or the calories. Ours came without any flavor. Sin sabor. We were staying at the resort and didn't want to pay $28.00 a piece to do the buffet again. We opted for The Beanery as opposed to calling down for our car and heading in to town. We should have either just sprung for the buffet again or been quicker on the draw and gone somewhere good. I just like to caffeinate and stuff myself as quickly as possible in the mornings so I can go ahead and get on with my day. One thing I can recommend here is the Maple Water. They don't make it or anything, they just carry it. It's not cheap, but it's pretty cool. read more

Very friendly lady behind the counter when we arrived, however when we needed something after we'd paid, it was as though we had become invisible all of a sudden. Admittedly there are few options for coffee (or any specific types of fare) in Stowe. This place is a bit pricey, but has a nice selection of drinks and baked goods. All syrups are made on site (no high fructose corn syrup here), and all pastries are baked there too. The mocha was well made, not bitter, not too sweet (a large is over $6).
