A VERY RUDE cashier refused service to my wife returning kegs that we had kept for a few months...do not belive the website when they say no time limit to teturn for deposit on kegs. We are now stuck with several empty kegs that we cannot get our $50 deposits back and we now have brewery property that needs to go back to the brewery and no clear idea how to proceed. The man working actually stated he felt her lack of a recipt after several months was " shady". I am VERY upset with his implication that my sweet little country gal was up to no good. Two other customers( i assume regulars) walked right in and out deposits processed no check of any kind for a receipt or even ID age verification which with no alchohol involved woild be uneeded anyway but at least.would make sense. It is hard to rate this one.....I am not a beer drinker but several members of my family are. I wanted a variety of beers to serve at a family gathering. The one of the two men behind the counter offered to help (the other didn't even greet me). The helpful young man didn't waist my time or his explaining the beers but just went to town picking out a nice selection (a case worth) of beers. I was delighted with his enthusiasm to do so. I won't know until the party if he did right by me. Now, that said, neither man offered to carry the beer to my car outside. I'm no weakling, but it certainly would have been the gentlemanly think to do (or ask to do) given there were no other customers in the store. Boy does this place live up to its name. I've been to a lot of liquor stores that have huge beer selections, but none that were quite as well organized with such a wide variety as these guys. I also liked that they had almost all of the selections available both chilled and at room temp. So you could go either way. Of course they offer singles which is always a nice touch when you want to try something new. I also really appreciated that the staff actually knew what they were talking about. They were able to offer me some good suggestions and on the couple beers the guy hadn't tried yet he admitted to it. I love that honesty. I hate when someone at tries to tell me what is like and its only because they read the description somewhere. Prices were low compared to many other places in MA that have similar selection. I have not found another place in NH that has a selection anything like they have. So do yourself a favor and go check this place out if you like beer. read more

Great selection and helpful staff. They have as good a selection as Craft Beer Store in Belmont. I didn't expect much. Stopped by on a lark and was wowed. There isn't any BMC in the place either domestic or imported. A huge plus they make sure they rotate and move their stock. First thing I saw was Sierra Nevada DevESTATIONion on sale. They had a lot and wanted to move it while it was still fresh. Then next to the check out they have a clearance rack, again moving out beers BEFORE their enjoy be date. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. They offered to hold your selections while you shopped. They explained why they had items of sale without any BS. Any they offered other selections based no what you already had in your basket. I wish I lived closer and I'd be a regular but a lot poorer. read more

Note: There are room temp and fridged versions of everything. Prices are competitive with local liquor stores. The past few years I work across from the Liquor Store in Tyngsboro, MA, which has similarly valued goods. Beer Store has everything at about the same price minus the tax. Up until recently, the website issues hours with an 'ish' at the end. This is interpreted to mean that if there is reason to stay open a little later or close a bit sooner than that then this is reasonable, a mark of true entrepreneurship. Friday nights are the busiest nights. One will see the crowds file in on queue and it is interesting to think that in New Hampshire just months ago there is no place like this. Until now, one would see these people dispersed in the aisles of a Cumberland Farms or a Seven Eleven. I think about these people this way and it makes me smile. Absolutely incredible selection of over 400 different bottles of beer! You walk in the front door and start off by grabbing an empty six pack container, then you stroll down the cooler and start grabbing beers that you have never even heard off! Its really awesome to start grabbing things you have never tried because it gives you something really exciting to look forward to when you get home. This store is all about buying singles. Every single beer is available as a single, although you can buy 6 packs and cases and even kegs. They also have a great selection of glasses from numerous breweries. This place really does have the lowest price when it comes to buying singles. Most beers range from $1.50 - $2.00 a piece which is cheaper then any other beer store i have visited. Hidden Gem: Try the Wild Bills beef jerky they sell out of the mason jar on the front counter. Hands down the best jerky I have ever tried. read more

This is what I have been waiting for! No longer am I limited to the beer aisle at Hannaford. This place has some great craft beers from smaller breweries across the country. They have been open for about 3 weeks and I believe they are destined for expansion. As for price, it never crossed my mind, I was too busy checking out the beer selection. Obviously they are pricier than the supermarkets but I don't mind dropping a few extra bucks to support local business and have access to great beer! This place it pretty good. From what I've been told, it's easily one of the best craft beer stores in south New Hampshire. They had a good selection of beers that your could mix and match, always my favorite, a few brews I hadn't seen before, and a good mix of local, domestic, and imports. Not the best selection I've seen, but it nice to see the extras, like shirts, glassware and different things, like hot sauce, or mead. When I was looking up places in Nashua, I had to bookmark this place and make sure to stop in on my way out. How can you leave a town before visiting their craft beer store with a great selection and all 5-star reviews? The Beer Store lived up to the reviews. Impressive selection of beers stacked up on shelves that were much taller than me so I felt like I was surrounded by beers, and everything was well-organized by type of beer and place of origin. Since I was in New Hampshire, I was happy to see an interesting selection of New Hampshire beers. In terms of New Hampshire beers I probably wouldn't find in my homestate of Connecticut, I picked up a bottle of Throwback Brewery's Maple Kissed Wheat Porter, which was wonderful, and a bottle of Candia's Road Brewing Company's Nepenthe Ales Nut Brown Ale, which was also good. I also got some imported beers and ciders, and a sour beer for the boyfriend. Worth stopping in if you're a fan of beer. read more

This place is unreal. I like it so much that I had to update my review. They have a MASSIVE selection, about 60% of which is refrigerated. You can mix and match from any of the beers they have, so you're not stuck with buying a six or twelve pack of something you're not sure about. Here's the best part: they have a clearance rack. They'll mark down beers at the end of a season and put them on clearance. THEN, if you buy twelve from clearance, you get an additional 50% off of the total. In the end, I got twelve different kinds of craft beer for $12!!!!!!!! There's nothing I don't like about this place. The people are great and give some great recommendations. Friendly staff that are always willing to help you find what you are looking for even if you only have a few details to provide them with. You don't have to speak a special "beer geek" language here, the guys and gals that run this place speak fluent average Joe. I have asked for "a beer like this one but hoppier" or "a beer from Maine with Coal in the name" and they are able to translate my mumblings and reply with an option or two. I only found out about The Beer Store after having searched Yelp for bars in the Nashua area that have craft brews on tap.(I'm bored with Martha's and was disappointed with Stella Blu's the other night.) I've driven past the little strip mall where The Beer Store is but never noticed it...nor would I've guessed it'd be there. The proprietor, here, is a very nice fellow and knows his product. This will definitely be my go-to beer place and I won't have to drive all the way to Colonial Spirits or Redstone's, anymore. If you like beer, then this is the place to go to in the Nashua area. I don't know if the guy who works there owns the place or not but he is extremely helpful in selecting beer. He is an encyclopedia of knowledge. If you are tired of the same old beer in the grocery stores and want to try something totally exotic and different, hop over here. I love The Beer Store. Despite living 25 minutes away, I frequently find myself driving over when I want beers, because it's probably the best craft beer store in New Hampshire. They have a large selection of "regular" beers from all over the world and frequently get shipments of unique limited edition beers. Recently, they have had Lunch by Maine Beer Company. Additionally, they get shipments from nanobreweries such as Garrison City Beerworks. I would recommend following The Beer Store page on Facebook as the staff provides updates on recent shipments (and tastings!). Regarding the staff, they are very knowledgeable and helpful without being pretentious for the most part (unlike, say 75% of the Beer Advocate community). I have had a number of questions answered by the people working in the store and they have provided me with great beer recommendations as well. Overall, I have had a number of good experiences here. In fact, you could say I'm close to being a regular at this point. If you are looking to try some new craft beers from the U.S. or elsewhere, this is the spot to go in NH. read more

Drove past this store for 9 months. That was 9 months too long.once I went in, I knew that I'd be coming back. If you like trying different beers then this is the place for you. Hundreds of beers and the stock is constantly rotating and the selection is second to none. They have both chilled and room temp bottles. Tastings on Thursdays are recommended. I love being able to build your own 6 packs. Gives me the ability to try a bunch of different beers without getting stuck with a 6 pack of something that I didn't like. It also let's me build theme packs and do a "tour" of a certain brew. I.e. all octoberfests, or pumpkin ales or summer ales, etc... from different breweries. The selection here is fantastic, my husband and I feel like kids in a candy store. However the man with the beard is a jackass. Let me explain. I stopped by today to get some beer that my husband has been inquiring about. I walked in, not an employee in sight, and started to look around. Gentleman emerges from a back room somewhere, looks at me with apparent disdain, mutters something unintelligible and walks away. Okay...? I politely ask "Hey, do you have the new Longtrail stout?" Gentleman gives me side eye and points. Cool. Love this place, I feel so welcome. I collect my spoils and head to the register. He aggressively grabs my beer and rings me up. Without making any eye contact says "cash or credit?" I say credit. This appears to annoy him more. Not really a shocker considering past behavior. I collect my libations and leave. Will I return? Probably not. If anyone from said establishment reads this please understand: your bussiness is not a rarity. This day in age you are a dime a dozen. Customer service goes a long way. The Beer Store is run by people who really know beer. They have an amazing staff who are willing to answer any question that you may have. A lot of the staff are home brewers themselves and I believe they have a home brew program. The best feature is their pick your own 6 pack which allows you try a lot of different beers. read more

I recommend The Beer Store! You can find any beer you like and they let you buy single bottles, you don't have to buy the whole 6 pack and that way you can get an assortment of many different beers to sample! I love that. Awesome, awesome store. They have hundreds of varieties of beer from all over the US and the world, ALL of them available for purchase by the bottle. They have a bin at the front with empty cardboard 6 pack holders that you can fill up with mix and matched beers. You'll spend a little more than you would at the grocery store, but you'll only find a tiny fraction of the beer selection at the grocers compared to this place. I was AMAZED at how many options this one location could provide, however, i did run into some of the most triggered, unhelpful staff i have ever encountered. Upon asking for assistance for locating a specific beverage the employee had pointed in a direction and said "over there" which was INCREDIBLY helpful (sarcastically said). This posed no issue since my eagerness to explore the store was very much active. After locating my desired beer, I eagerly approached the counter to checkout (not knowing price but knowing it'd most definitely be worth it) so i asked the employee "How much is the damage?", he had no idea what i meant, so i asked again, "How much will this setup cost?". The employee replies "The prices are under the drink you picked". At this point i'm just trying to checkout and figure out how much I owe the boy behind the counter. After doing my own research to figure out the total, I approached the counter to pay and should have expected nothing less than a dissatisfied employee to give me his grief of an attitude.
