Got my car back and it ran like crap. Felt like a cable was slapping around, back up lights did not work (They did prior) and the clutch chattered a lot. They told me to let the clutch slip and it would wear down. Brought it to Bob's Automotive in Sunrise. They told me the transmission mount was ruptured, the transmission was only held in with three bolts, the throw out bearing was never changed and my clutch cable was extremely loose. The pressure plate was warped and the back up switch was damaged. Had to re-pay to have the transmission done again. Car runs great now. I also paid less for a new clutch and labor then Gold Coast charged me for just labor...so not a good experience.

They are not able to correctly determine what the codes are that might be pulled by the OBD reader. Go to the dealership as you need a TCM, not a rebuilt/repaired transmission. Do not let them "drop the pan" and tell you there are pieces of debris in the fluid, but refuse to allow you to see for yourself. I made this mistake & they failed to reattach my driveshaft to the transmission resulting in another $1200 for a new driveshaft (large diesel truck 4x4). After 2 mths of lies about when a TCM would be delivered and programmed, I found out they don't have the capability to order a TCM with a warranty as they are not the dealership. Save yourself the $6K & go to the dealership. A TCM can be installed/programmed for $3K.

I let him know I could work on my vehicle myself I just didn't have the park for the electric braking system. From that point you should have known that I was going to check it. Wouldn't bring my truck here if someone was paying for it bunch of uneducated people who do as they please owner said their mechanic did that they don't condone it, but they aren't backing it up and not making it right after they said they would!
