I couldn't say more good things about my experience working with Sara. As a bride, I envisioned my idea of the perfect day for years and entrusting someone else to make that vision a reality took a lot of trust. Trust that is not built in a day, but develops over time. Personally, I'm in training at a residency program that requires me to work over 100 hours a week so a majority of the responsibility for the wedding from timeline, to vedor communication, and follow up fell on Sara's shoulders. As we were building the initial trust, I questioned a lot of her suggestions and admittedly got huffy here or there, but she consistently showed up, embodied her word, and won our trust. By the time we got to planning our third COVID wedding, I had full faith that the decisions I asked Sara to make on my behalf would be perfect. My fiancé was probably the hardest to win over, he admittedly gave her a hard time (regretfully) through the initial planning processes, but by the first month working with her, he was giving her number to all our friends. She planned all vendor meetings to fit our crazy schedule and made the planning process seamless. It's hard to feel like you're giving control to someone else for your big day when you have a type A personality like I do, but I've never been so happy to hand over the reigns to her. We had a particularly difficult event to plan. Our wedding was scheduled to be in June of the COVID pandemic and we ended up having to reschedule our wedding not once, not twice, but three times with a complete city and venue change. After the second delay, I found out I was pregnant and would need to have the wedding ASAP. After one phone call with Sara, my venue change was complete and the completely new details for the wedding were planned within 4 days over the phone. There would be no way I could have done that without Sarah's guidance. Not only did she work with our vendors to make sure they were available and reschedule each of our weddings, but she did it without batting an eye. Keep it known that she has never had to experience this either, but you would never have known the difference. She chartered the unknown seamlessly and took the full weight off our shoulders. We were really impressed by her strong relationship with the vendors. All of the vendors spoke so highly of her and her organization skills for the weding day. They felt so comfortable working at a wedding that Sara was running because they knew what to expect, had clear guidelines, and open lines of communicaiton. Most brides and grooms only pay attention to how the wedding planner makes THEM feel, but what they don't realize is that how the vendors feel going into the big day is just as important. These people are professionals in the industry and work with hundreds of different weddings a year. The fact that they feel at ease and are excited about working a wedding with Sara is evidence enough of her skill. When the vendors are comfortable, your day runs smoothly, the caliber of their work is higher, and they have a clear idea of your expectations. I can tell you from my own wedding day, that this was true. Our wedding day was everything I dreamed of and more. I fully expected to have some level of stress, but I was so at ease. I knew where to be, how to get there, and I had a bridal shadow with me the entire time to help me navigate the day with anything I needed. My husband and I look back now at the day and are amazed at how perfect the day was. If they hit any snags, we didn't know about it.
