I've been to see Mark Forbes / The Best Barber ATX a few times now, and the experience really just gets better each time. My hair grows incredibly fast, and I have found that I'm pickier than I originally thought I was about my hair and who cuts it. Mark absolutely NAILS it every single time. Beyond the haircut itself, he's a super cool dude. He's a blast to chat with, and has a great sense of humor. It's just an absolutely positive experience all around. My aunt Vicky was a barber in the town I grew up in, and sitting in her chair was like being in a second home - the feeling was always awesome. Mark is an amazing barber and a great guy. Moved up to Round Rock last year and was worried I wouldn't be able to find a good barber close by, but boy did I luck out! Mark provides the best, most consistent, cut I've ever had. I started going to real barbers exclusively around 10 years ago and Mark tops them all. Additionally, we got to talking during my first cut and he ended up commissioning me to do a $1,200 painting for him and his family (I paint landscapes - see attached). Great barber! Excellent with the comb, brush, hairdryer, scissors, trimmers and blade! Great conversations and always trying to make you look your best. Easy to talk to and always going extra to get exactly what you want. He has done me and my 9 yr old son. I get low to medium skin fade and slick too back then get my beard trimmed and shaped up. My son does a fade pompadour style. Mark always hooks it up! I will keep showing up to his door as long as he stays in our area. Won't see anyone else but Mark. I will cry if he isn't available.. ... I was having a hard time finding a barber on a sunday because where I usually go get my cut is closed. I found this shop and after going in and getting a cut from Brandon, I wont be getting a cut anywhere else. Cut was on point and felt very relaxed the entire time. They offer free beverages while you wait or cut your haIr. The place has pretty cool decor with a nice pool table in the middle of the waiting section. The atmosphere is amazing. Chill low-fi type beats in the backround made is easy to enjoy my cut. The barber next to me cut a little boys hair and did a great job helping his mom choose the cut and executing it perfectly. Extremely personable people with great attitudes. It's always hard to find a good barber so i'm stoked that I dont have to look around anymore. So a friend and I decide we want to get haircuts. We yelp local barbers to find someone specializing in skin fades and lines. We stumbled on Forbes barber company. On the second floor of this shopping center we find this unique barber shop with a pool table smack in the middle next door to a tattoo shop. We are promptly greeted by Max a super cool guy who had an infectious smile. One of our appointments was with Mark a boisterous down to earth young man who had amazing yelp reviews and also owns the shop. The other appointment was with Brandon who promptly seated me and with very little direction understood exactly what I wanted. They were both super friendly and their clients varied from young tatted trendy types to older men. I was amazed at the mix. This barber shop was an amazing experience and I am hooked on their knowledge of cutting edge hairstyles. They really know their stuff and I plan to be getting my haircuts there most certainly from now on. Mark is just a really popular highly energized full service barber while Brandon was friendly, focused, took his time and delivered exactly what I was hoping for. Exceptional Barber, 5 star service... I have been looking for a quality barber for my husband and both my sons. Words can't explain what an exceptional job Mark does. My boys have never looked better. We have been going here for well over a year. My 2 year old was barely 1 when he got his first cut by Mark and "it was to my amazement" how comfortable, relaxed and still my son was. I can honestly say my toddler loves getting his hair cut now. My husbands favorite service is getting his beard straight razored. It's like a man "spa day" for him after a long day at work. And if that wasn't enough, Mark has also cut all three of my girls hair with outstanding edgy styles. This shop is very responsive and punctual, which is a huge plus for me. I am a busy mom of 5 kids and I never have a problem getting an appointment in a timely manner. I have even booked the entire family on the same day for family pictures.
