Had my MINI Cooper Countryman's windows tinted here. They were able to take me on a walk-in basis and under 3 hours I had tinted windows. I appreciated the fact they do not cut-the tint within your car. No disaster from cut trim pieces. When explaining the difference options, they also explain what would or wouldn't be considered legal. I preferred to stay on the legal side. Daisy, the dog, gave me a great welcome when I arrived. Just picked up my car and absolutely love the tint, as always. I've been going to The Best Guys since high school 15 years ago and they've tinted the windows on 5 of my cars over the years. They did an excellent job on my first car and I've been going to them ever since. I've always liked the same type of look (dark, but not too dark), and they get it right every time. Depending on the interior color of your seats, the color of the tint will have to change to get the desired look. This time around, my seats are a white leather, so we had to go darker on the tint in order to achieve the look I was wanting. I was a bit nervous because we picked a darker tint than I had ever done in the past, but these guys clearly know what they're doing and it turned out perfectly. They took the time to listen to what I wanted, reviewed what I had done in the past, really looked at my car, and guided me to the right choice of tint for me. They nail it every time. I sent them an email to get a quote for the cost to tint my 98 Accord and received a prompt reply the following business day. They were fully booked on the upcoming weekend so we scheduled for the next Saturday. After receiving my tint I was instructed precisely on what to do for the next few days while the tint baked. I came here for an alarm install. They appeared very disorganized, clicking away on the computer for at least 15 minutes trying to find something. Finally their tech comes out and we walk over to my truck. He was very professional and I could tell he knew his stuff. We go back to the office and they waste more time, making me wait for a quote. They print the quote for their most basic one way viper alarm and the price is ridiculous. They charged me $240 for a $60 alarm. Some small markup I can understand but this much is way too much. $600 for a basic one way alarm installation, disorganized and wasting my time? I don't think so. Update: I received a few calls from the owner. He has been trying to earn my business and making an effort to offer me a good deal. This is a good sign, it means that they actually care about the business reputation and will strive to make customers happy - earned one extra star. read more

Went there for a backup camera wiring installation(has my own equipment). They couldn't figure out how to get the mirror image to show on my monitor. They said that the camera I have might be only for front view so the picture shows left as right and right as left on my screen. Found the owner manual that says the camera can be mounted and set up as either front or backup camera and went back to them. They correct the wiring setup in minutes which took them over two hours the first time when they said they couldn't get it to work right and blamed my equipment. After the second trip, the camera works but realized a day later that they disconnected a wiring cluster for the interior dome light when working on my car and for got to reconnect it back so the dome light stops working. Went back to the shop for the third time to have them fix that. Three trips for a backup camera wiring hookup. I could've messed with it on my own and probably went through similar trouble without having to pay 150 for mediocre work they provided. Nowhere near "The Best Guys" they claimed to be. read more

These guys are great. I needed an Aux connection added to my factory Honda XM Stereo before driving cross country, and I didn't have the time to order the right products and install it before I left. After calling around to different custom stereo shops from Oakland to Concord, they all either wanted to charge me an exorbitant amount money to have it added or to sell me another stereo, which I didn't want. The Best Guys were the only shop that quoted me a more than fair price for this service, and they didn't try to sell me anything more. I went in about an hour after I called and 30mins later they had the part installed, ready to go, and they even showed me how it worked. I'm pretty excited that after having my car for almost 9 yrs, I finally get to enjoy an MP3 with it. I'm not sure why I didn't think of doing this sooner. I just bought a USA Spec Iphone interface for my 350Z at The Best Guys in Concord. Brian at Best Guys provided excellent service. We had some glitches getting the unit dip switches set but in the end his TEAM got it working right. I left and thought all was great but then my ambient temperature gauge was reading ICY on a warm day. I called Brian and he said to bring it back. They rechecked the wiring and did more research. The problem was not unusual and some cars recalibrate themselves or to disconnect the battery. In my case, disconnecting the battery worked. Bottom line I found a family owned shop that stands behind their work and trains their employees well about customer service. Brian did something a conscientious employee or owner would do. Small family businesses that stay in business all have this in common. I did check their price against Crutchfield and their contracted installers. Crutchfield was slightly cheaper for the same unit but I went to The Best Guys because it was a family business and I wanted it installed today. Cheaper is not usually better especially when it comes to skilled labor and always good to support family owned businesses. I would do business with The Best Guys anytime and will refer my friends there. Oops almost forgot. I did get a quote at another shop for 80 dollars more for a lessor unit. So their price is very competitive. read more

I went in to The Best Guys a few days ago looking for a sub. The service was outstanding, Doug showed me several different configurations, working around my budget and performance needs. He gave me a great deal on a sub/amp/box package, which was about $200 LESS than what the local Best Buy had quoted me... and the quality of components here was much better. The next day, I called up The Best Guys to see if they could fix some old wiring and help with the installation of this sub (I had done some of it already myself). Tony booked my time right away, and then did all the work while I waited (P.S. King's donuts down the street: best place to wait for your car while in this shop!). They were very accommodating of my schedule, and shifted more resources to my installation when it approached the time I had to go. Their quality of work was superb, and they made sure that everything in my car looked great. As a professional in a technical industry myself, I can tell that they also took considerable extra effort to ensure a long lifetime of the wiring and mounting. I looked around the shop while I was there and the prices are unbeatable. They apparently will also fix any problems on this system within the next year, which is a kind of personal service guarantee that puts my mind at ease. Excellent customer service! I came in with my 2021 Toyota Highlander. We hit the garage door and knocked the satellite shark fin antenna loose. The local Toyota dealer told us to expect repairs to be $2000. Doug took a look and suggested we take 1-2 hours of labor to see what really was damaged. We did. The antenna was fine. but we couldn't get a solid weather seal due to a minor deformity in the roof. The solution was to caulk it. Total cost $260 and you can't tell it ever was hit. Had the windows in my lexus ls400 tinted. They did a great job, perfect! My vehicle is notoriously difficult to tint because of the back heat lines in the window. These guys did it for a low price and it turned out great. I could have picked it up the same day, but I had to work. So they parked the car inside their shop over night. It worked out really good. The (other tint company) on monument Blvd told me to pound rocks. That other company wouldn't touch my car with a ten foot poll. That (other company on Monument Blvd) said Lexus' are too difficult. I am a return customer. I've had 2 SUV's and 1 sedan completely tinted (7 separate windows on the sedan). The first tint was done in 2007 and when I sold the vehicle in 2013 it still looked like a factory tint. I've had the clear bra installed on an SUV in 2013 and get a ton of compliments from the people that actually notice that it is on. I can't comment on what it will be like after it comes off though. I've also had a Wet Sounds system installed on my boat. It not only sounds incredible, but the install is top notch. They went as far as replacing screws that weren't part of their install because the screws were starting to rust, I appreciate that attention to detail. Got my new stereo installed yesterday. They did a great job. Very helpful when helping me choose the stereo I wanted. Went over features and I'm confident I made a informed decision. Didn't push me into something I didn't need showed me all the differences of the 3 stereos I was thinking about and we went for the middle one in cost and features. I went to frys 3 times and couldn't even get someone to help me. My buddy said go to the best guys! I wasn't aware they were around anymore because they moved. Two things really stood out to me about this place: 1 - They are honest. Originally I was going to replace the original subwoofer that came with my car with something a little nicer but without doing a complete overhaul - during the install they called me at work and told me you could barely hear the difference with the new sub and that they didn't really recommend it. Cut my bill in half! 2 - They get the job done and stand behind their work. My car also came with a bass rattle in the trunk, so I had them treat it with dynamat. When I came to pick up the car, they came out with me and had me check it. With my test music (different from what they had used) and the volume all the way up, I was still able to get a little rattle out of it. Three guys spent the next hour out there with me tracking down where it was coming from and getting it perfect. I was very impressed with the level of service and things are sounding great now! read more

Bought two 12" subs, an amp, inside speakers, a stereo and a car alarm for my car. They were very knowledgeable and helpful and I got a great deal on everything. A few years later my car got broken into and my amp got damaged (the thief was luckily caught in the act. by the police and nothing got stolen) They gave me a discount on a new amp and a fair price for the installation. If I ever have trouble with anything they are always happy to talk to me for a bit and help with whatever I need. I have only had good experiences with them. I would not give them a five because they forgot to screw down the sub box to the base of my trunk, and eventually some wires came out from where they should be under the passenger side dash, but they bolted down the box when I came back in after it had been jumping on speedbumps. But those are really minor points. Would gladly go back to them in the future. read more

BEST AUTO TINT as far as materials and installation. This is my 2nd car done with them plus 4 others (family and friends). I've had my last car with their tint for over 2 years and it stayed just as it was when they installed it. Same goes for 2 other cars, of family members. They use high quality Llumen film which is the best as far as heat deflection and durability. I've just done my new car and I'm very pleased. I picked the higher heat deflection with more transparency for the front and it really does stop most of the sun heat (not to mention UVA & UVB) and it's not dark so I don't have to worry about tickets.
