Good vibes, great beer, and generous portions of food. I searched for craft beer on the boardwalk and The Biergarten was my match. You can order dozens of German and domestic beers on draft. I was pleased with my shandy from Hidden Sands. I also ordered a seasonal pizza with prosciutto that was phenomenal! It was just the right amount to satisfy my hunger. The crust was perfectly crisp and the toppings were fresh and evenly distributed. The bartenders were patient and accommodating. Stopped in to get drinks to go (my wife and I). Decided to get a double each. Gin and tonic and Moscow mule. Check came: $65! Paid and walked out with our drinks. We both took sips as we walked the boards. We both looked at each other. We knew what one another was thinking....WTH?! It wasn't even a double. And for that price!! We were very upset and felt ripped off. I've been drinking gin and tonic for 30 years. So, I'm VERY familiar with it. I was lucky if it was a full shot, let alone a double. They most likely water down their liquor bottles like a lot of bars do in tourist areas. DO NOT GO! They will charge you a ridiculous amount of money for watered down drinks. A rip off. Anytime we find a Weihenstephan, we are thrilled and they have it! They also have a German-inspired food menu and the potato pancakes are excellent! There is plenty of seating outside ranging in various sizes to accommodate your group. You can order at the bar or a server will come out to assist. There are games like corn hole, jenga, and TVs to watch the game in the bar area. Alexa is an amazing bartender/server and gave us a tip that if your drink is in a plastic cup, you can walk with it on the boardwalk! Just remember that dogs are prohibited on the beach and boardwalk between Memorial Day and September 15th. We normally love the Biergarten. We have a bicycle group that bikes every Monday and we celebrate many birthdays from May to August. We always stop for a celebratory drink after breakfast. We were excited to see the Biergarten open. Six of us rolled in and we ordered 6 lemon drop shots. The bartender gave us the tiny one ounce plastic shot glass and proceeded to charge us as if we had full drinks. 6 one ounce shots were over 100.00 bucks. It was a rip off and now we won't have our celebratory drinks there which would have been every Monday from May 31st to Sept 1. Do better! We wanted to be breakfast customers also. read more

I ordered the bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapeños, which came four pieces to the plate. These are not your average battered and deep-fried cream cheese poppers! Biergarten's jalapeño approach is sophisticated and upscale, using a sharper cheese that accentuates the taste of the bacon and the peppers. The drizzle of crema and sprinkling of crumbly white cheese on top are a delightful flourish. Looking at old menu photos makes me think this may be a new menu item or a special, in which case you should demand this dish until management makes it a permanent fixture. Only reason why I can't leave 5 stars is because the beers here are very pricey. I guess you are also paying for the atmosphere. It feels just like being at a tiki bar, and they even provide warm heating lamps for cooler days. Unfortunately, they do close sometime during December but normally reopen in March. They have a very wide variety of draft beers that tend to change a little depending on the season. The bartenders are very friendly and I was delighted that I was even given a buy back during my last visit, which was hardly expected. read more

Its spacious and shaded with umbrellas and adorned with benches, tables, and outdoor games for humans. There's always a gentle ocean breeze that keeps my tail wagging. And the fairy lights strung up overhead create a magical ambiance at night. Now lets talk about the food and all those craft beers and fancy drinks my humans so enjoy. Im not old enough to imbibe but I never met a pup who didnt like the smell of freshly grilled sausages. The Texas size pretzel and the cheese curds are my favorite. I sneak a few when no one is looking -- don't tell !! But the best part? The staff here is five paws up!! A special bark out for Patty, Thomas, Grace, Maria, Madison, Tim and Michael just to name a few. They treat me like the royalty I am. Boardwalk AC ups the ante with the Biergarten! You may miss the art installation that was here, but you'll quickly get over it once you see the beer menu. Lots of choices (including a full bar for those in your group who are crazy and don't like beer). Food menu is limited, but let's be honest, you're not coming here for the food. That said, the pretzel was perfect, seems like it was cooked over a wood fire. I couldn't pass up the chance to have a marzen (Octoberfest) in May, and I was not disappointed. My husband got the Dunkel. Both were delightful. Most of what's on tap is German, but they have other choices such as Fat Tire and the obligatory IPAs. There's a section for Cornhole, Giant Jenga and even a huge Connect 4! Right on the boardwalk, great location, outdoors, shaded and sunny seats. I imagine this will be our new local spot! read more

All the food we had was so good!! The buffalo wings are a must try as well as the pretzel. You won't be disappointed!! They have a wide variety of beers for all the beer lovers. Our group of 5 visited The Biergarten after dinner for a place to hang out over drinks and snacks. I love that they have seasonal drink options on their very large drink menu. It started raining a little while we were enjoying our night, but the large umbrella kept us comfortable and dry. We visited after dark, but I'd image the umbrellas would be helpful for providing shade from the sun during the day. There are a few table & lawn games available for groups to enjoy while in the Biergarten, and the menus looked to have something for everyone. read more

I'm giving the biergarten a 4 because the food was a 3 but the atmosphere was a 5... Fair enough. We had a giant mug of some German beer that was very good. A pretzel with beer cheese and mustard (amazing! will return for this alone), dry rub wings (cooked through but the skin was on so they really needed to cook another few minutes to crunch the outside) and a hotdog with kraut (my husband said it was excellent). When it's sunny, it's pretty much too hot to play any of the games so I recommend visiting in the evening. Enjoy the giant jenga, connect 4 and cornhole! Very cool spot. read more
