We've been coming here since it opened and it has been steadily declining. Today was disappointing in both food and service. We sat at a table for awhile but finally asked the bartender to request our server. A server came over and said she would let our server know we were waiting. After 20 minutes we decided to move to seats at the bar. The bartenders are the reason for two stars. They were so nice and were constantly checking on their customers. The confusing part is that you can't order food from the bartenders. So we had to wait for a server....ugghhhh! The funny (well, not so funny) part is the server comes over and asks if we were sitting at a table for awhile....when we said yes she said was busy eating her chicken tenders and didn't know that was her section. Just completely laughed it off. So now we were stuck sitting at the bar and still had her as a server. It turned out ok though. Just a confusing process having to pay two separate checks. Then we couldn't use our casino coupons or comps for the drinks. We had to pay with our credit card. The food was ok. The peel n eat shrimp were the best in taste and value. Mozzarella sticks and wings were good. I didn't care for the coconut shrimp tacos. And the funniest thing? We casually asked if the sushi on the menu was any good and both bartenders and the server all said NO. Their expressions said it all. Ha! read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with my girlfriends. It was a beautiful afternoon and from 2-6 the Exceptions performed from 2:00-6:00. Phenomenal time as always. Had an early dinner on Saturday I didn't think it was anything spectacular. I honestly thought it was overpriced for what we were served. I ordered an Orange Crush drink because a friend recommended I try one and that was $12.75 for a 16oz cup. For our entrees I ordered the Lobster and Shrimp roll $18.75 that's served with some chips. I actually thought that was pretty good and my husband had the Shrimp Scampi $26.99, not great. My husband is a chef and his is much better. This just looked sloppy. No care was given in the plating which I can't really say plating because it came in a Styrofoam container. My recommendation is get something simple here like a sandwich, burger, or salad. read more

The vibes and views here are the selling point! Beautiful views of the boats and water. The deck is decorated with lights which brings everything together. There was a stage with live music which was super fun. It is just a fun place for drinks, apps, and dancing. It is of course pricey, but that's to be expected. It's in a prime location. Even though a lot of people I see are complaining that it was so expensive, i honestly didn't think it was too bad. I thought it for the location it was decently priced. We ordered a round of shots for the table, a few drinks, and a few apps to split. Everything was great. Our waitress was awesome, constantly checking in on us and seeing what we needed. There were people dancing and get rowdy but there were also people just enjoying the night and views being very low key and relaxed. The deck is huge and if you want to be with the livelier crowd hang more towards the band and if you wanted to chill and be more relaxed sit on the other side. Perfect for all types of crowds. You can't beat the harbor view on a summer afternoon. Put on your shades and get some sun or relax under umbrella shade. Chill out and have lunch or perhaps just a few drinks. The prices are fair, the drinks are cold, the service is very friendly and efficient. Food is pretty average bar food and a burger and fries is best IMO. Live bands at night and generally no cover. Definitely worth a stop for relaxing time with friends. read more

The Deck has your typical Jersey shore bar atmosphere as it is waterside, but lacks your stereotypical AC casino club or beach bar drinking experience. Firstly, it's located within the Golden Nugget. It's not a roof deck, so head towards the Chart House and go to the bottom floor. The scene at the Golden Nugget is a little older anyways, so the Deck doesn't have your fist pumping, club ready crowd, or at least not during the night of my recent visit. The crowd looked about 30 plus, which kind of made sense with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Van Halen cover bands that were playing that night. Everyone just seemed happy and generally respectful of each other's space. The view overlooked the marina. Sometimes when I visit Atlantic City, I'm all about the boardwalk and the ocean. The marina view was a nice change of atmosphere, that also included a nice bay breeze. While I didn't eat, it was very easy to go up to the bar and order a beverage. It was also easy enough to find a table. I don't know if that's a reflection of a less than packed house, or that the crowd was enjoying themselves in front of the stage with the live band. The scene was very chill and was a nice nightlife option if you don't want to be partying with the newly 21-crowd in a dance club. I'm planning on keeping an eye on their live music schedule and pay a return visit. read more

My wife and I visited today for the Atlantic City in water boat show and made the bad decision of visiting the deck at the Golden Nugget for lunch. We were able to locate a table in the shade next to the bar, though it took the waitress about 10 minutes to realize we were in her "section". We placed drink orders and lunch at the same time. The seltzers showed up quickly, the food, about an hour later despite people all around us getting food. We asked about the delay twice, got no explanation other than "the kitchen messed up". The waitress never showed up to offer refills of our soda water or anything, in fact she avoided us on purpose. When the food finally showed up, the fries were stone cold, and the chicken on my chicken sandwich the same - plus the portion sizes were pathetic - for $17 you would think you would get decent sized piece of chicken, instead it was about half sized. I would completely avoid this place, not only is it overpriced, but the service is worse than you could expect at McDonalds. A complete disappointment. read more

My husband and I frequent The Deck at least once a week and many times twice a week. Since it is just the 2 of us we usually sit along the rail. We have a very difficult time getting anyone to take a drink or food order. We get the attention of a passing waitress only to be told it is not there section but they will get someone for us, but no one shows up until we plead with someone to take our order. On 8/10 we attended Deckstock and took our seats at the rail. After sitting there for about forty-five minutes we got the attention of a waitress who advised us it was not her area but would have someone come over, but once again no one showed up. I then caught the attention of a waitress on the lower deck and explained our issue and she said it is not my area but I will take your order. What great customer service!!!! Her name was Lexi Schoen. She not only took our order but continued to check on us for the rest of the evening. I do hope that you will let Lexi know how much we appreciated her great service even though we were not in her area. It seems that customers sitting along your rail are often neglected. . Being such a large group we had a lot of needs and she patiently catered to every one of them. I have never had such a positive dining experience. There wasn't much of a crowd so I don't understand why the service was so terrible! My boyfriend and I sat for at least 30 minutes and we weren't offered a drink,menu, NOTHING! I don't want to chalk it up to us being the only minorities there at the time HOWEVER,a Caucasian family of 8 walked in and received service IMMEDIATELY! When we finally asked the waitress if anyone would be taking our order she told us she'd go and get another server but of-course no one ever came ! Eventually we got up and left ! The deck is a great place to hang out in the summer. The have great bands and the food is good; not great, but good. Had the Mahi tacos which were very tasty. The chips were disappointing because we thought they'd be tortilla chips but they ended up being regular potato chips. For the past two times we've been there the service has been really good. Stumbled upon this marina bar at the golden nugget. Great place for drinks on a patio over looking the Bay Area and downtown Atlantic city. Drinks are a little pricy but worth it for the patio and atmosphere. Seems like they have great DJs and bands through out the week. The outside bar tender Donald is the bomb, super friendly, and very helpful when asking questions about what there is to do in the area. Giving 3 stars just because I did not order food. read more

Fun Place especially if you are not into the newly 21 crowd. Seems to draw a 30+ crowd that is there to have some fun without being obnoxious. Few if any Riffraff. Food is nothing to brag about and service can sometimes be hard to get ahold of but I think they try.... it will fill the whole in your belly. Drinks are a little pricey but that does help to keep the riffraff away so I am ok with it. It is the Jersey Shore. It is AC...so you have to take that into account. read more

Came in with a group of 7 to see the live band, I had been here before and expected it to be awesome, that of course was a few years ago....The marina was pretty as usual, as was the sunset! The music was good but even as we got the farthest seats from the stage, the music was ridiculously loud. So loud that we could not carry on a conversation, like at all....We went to order and realized that they didn't have such a huge selection. Bummer. Oh well, we ordered pizza, blt turkey wraps, french dips, and the tango chicken wrap. It would have been great if I actually got my food when everyone else did but our waitress forgot to put my French dip in and I didn't get it until 20 minutes after everyone started eating. I resorted to eating part of my daughter's pizza. So when I did get food I didn't even eat it! I was super annoyed. To be honest it wasn't so great anyway. My daughter's pizza was much better. Either way service a bit shotty. The food was ok nothing to rave about. And the music would have been great if it was not obnoxiously loud. read more
