Great outdoor/indoor bar right on the water! After several visits to this establishment, I can confidently say that their food does not disappoint. And in light of our COVID-19 reality right now, the Wonder Bar had adapted ample outdoor seating that's efficient and comfortable. Masks are required when using the indoor restrooms, but otherwise everything else is outdoors. We recently arrived on a Thursday evening by boat for a late snack (10:00 PM) and the kitchen was still open. We also realized that you can also enjoy a little hookah action at the Wonder Bar also. This bar is unquestionably a locals' hangout on a late Monday night. It attracted a solid crowd, and the drinks were excellent. There was only one bartender and one waitress handling food service. Neither of them took conflicting orders; she prepared food, he served drinks--plain and simple. Regarding the experience, I ordered a whole pizza with cheese and pepperoni, and it was truly terrible. Everything about that pizza was revolting--by far the worst I've ever had. One of my friends ordered pretzel bites with cheese, which were decent, but I promptly discarded the pizza and returned to my cocktails, which were the highlight of the evening. As I mentioned earlier, the crowd was lively, consisting mainly of younger, college-aged adults rather than seasoned locals, so we didn't stay long enough to mingle. read more

My Wife and I Visited Wonder Bar this past Sunday Night 4/5/2026 This was our second time visiting your establishment and we actually enjoyed our time there the first time and felt it could be a nice spot for us to come when in Atlantic City and looked forward to visiting when weather got Warmer to experience the deck over the water and summer vibes. The incident that occurred late Sunday night was totally unprovoked and unacceptable as my Wife and I were set to leave and this White guy & his friend started this by pointing a drink at my Wife and unprovoked said; "That BITCH want a drink?" Then followed up with; "That BITCH with the Glasses" and Yes immediately afterwards I approached him and his friend with every intention to protect my Wife. But out of respect I looked to your Bartender who in his own words stated that "we didn't do anything to anyone and were not bothering anyone." I said to him; "Out of Respect for Your Establishment me and my Wife will leave because I don't want to disrespect your establishment!" My Wife and I feel Your employee should have had the 2 bigots escorted out and not let us leave under those circumstances understanding we were not the aggressors at all. We like to dine at different establishments as we are entering into this industry we've always love trying different places. We felt your establishment was one we could come to when we visited AC but after what occurred and how it was handled we don't feel our safety was a priority and that us being the ones who were provoked by 2 Bigots who entered your establishment already intoxicated when they sat down and the Bartender Over-serving them, we felt they should have been told to leave and regardless if we were getting ready to leave or not. It was mishandled by your Bartender from the moment He Served them their first "Screwballs"... Great prices, wonderful food and great service! My only complaint was that they didn't have a traditional "house salad". Theirs was a salad filled with raisins and walnuts that did not interest me, but my friend enjoyed it!. We just stopped here on the way to check into our hotel. The music is great!! The salad and fries were awesome! The drinks are very strong though so I did switch to a canned drink. Cool little Bayside bar. I like how they had a dock so you could literally pull up on your boat, hop out, and grab a bite to eat with some drinks. That said you pay a premium for that novelty. $13 burger comes with chips but adding fries costs $5.50. Unacceptable. Wings were good. Bacon wrapped shrimp was good but the shrimp was a bit overcooked. Burger was nothing special and also overcooked given it was ordered medium rare. Wife said the fish tacos were awesome and our friends liked their bacon cheesesteak. Service was good. Lunch for 4 with some drinks was about $180 though so be prepared for that. Also the menu said the place was open from 11 a.m. to 6 a.m. which is the craziest hours I've seen. read more

The service was a bit slow here which usually isn't something that bothers me, but it was far from being full and we saw our waitress chatting for a long time instead of taking our orders. Sat out on back patio. Table hadn't been wiped and televisions were on way too loud. Even for a football game. Waited about 10min to be greeted and given menus. There were 3 of us, total. The three of us ordered the same jalapeño cheddar Hot Dogs. And none of us got them. Our waitress had pressed the wrong button and put in 3 meatball sandwiches instead. We had already waited about 30min to get our incorrect order. And since we were restricted by time because we had to catch a bus we couldn't wait for new food. The meatball sandwich was not very good (not too mention my least favorite type of sandwich) and all of us were disappointed. No discount to the bill was offered and we barely ever saw our waitress the entire time. It's a shame. I really want to like Wonder Bar. This place has everything you could possibly ask for to be great. It just isn't. Think about it...how hard is it to have a good attitude, treat people well and serve good food? Other establishments are doing it all over the place. Problem here is the ownership and management just doesn't care enough to make this place great so it's not...it's just ok, barely. If it wasn't right on the water it would be empty because Vagabond is right up the street and you feel very good about your experience leaving there. Came here on a Saturday night. Loved this bar! We had to wait a little for an outdoor table but it was worth it! The food and drinks were reasonably priced and the vibe of the outdoor area was amazing. I will definitely be coming back! I also recommend the local favorite ($13) a little pricy but it was sooo good! I got it on a wrap and it came with chicken, bacon, avocado and spicy chipotle sauce. Highway robbery! $13.50 for 1oz of Hennessy? One drink ordered was with ginger ale that was weak. I asked for a little more Hennessy to taste the liquor and was told I would need to buy another shot. Like WOW ! From what I could see, regular & non regular customers did not get the same treatment. None of my drinks were even. We are bartenders and understand the game. I usually never write reviews however my experience today was a must. If I could give my experience at Wonderbar -5 stars I would!! My friend and I were approached by a waitress with purple/gray hair who stated with an attitude, that she would be with us in a few minutes. As she walked us to the last table with the umbrella as requested, she commented, "this umbrella doesn't even work anyways" then walked away. We were confused by the comment because it was working perfectly fine. We sat for 15 minutes without anyone approaching us for introduction or to ask for drinks. Then about 5 minutes later, a family of 4 sat down at the table next to us. We noticed a waitress bringing drinks to the table behind us and after she had finished and started walking away, we attempted to call her 3 times... she definitely heard us because the table of 4 all looked at us then her, as she continued to trot away. She trotted about 10 foot away, then turned back to look at us, and shrugged her shoulders. Next, about 5 minutes later, a different waitress brought drinks to the family of 4 that were seated AFTER us... mind you, we did not even get acknowledgement from a single staff at this point. As she finished placing the drinks down and began to walk away, my friend and I said "excuse me" she turned around, aknowledged we asked for her however she didn't even bother to walk over to our table. She stood still and replied "Yes?" We kindly asked to order drinks and she mumbled some gibberish and walked away. At this point, we confirmed that all of the waitress were discriminating against US. We were the ONLY table that was not helped! There were at least 8 waiters and waitresses walking around. Terrible terrible service!!! On top of that, we had to pay $5 for a "valet" service where WE parked our OWN car. What a waste of 30 mins of our day. Never again will we waste our time at a local business that cannot treat its customers equally. We were surround by all Caucasian customers and all of the rude waitresses we encountered were also Caucasian. We felt the difference in treatment from the staff. This is NOT the time to be racist and we will NOT waste our time and money for those that discriminate against color! I come here all the time with my friends (mostly at night time) and I've never had a bad time here. We sit at the bar and the bartenders are very nice. The servers are also very nice. The food was good (esp the apps), drinks too. Prices were fair all things considered. The view was good by the water but probably better before sunset. This is always a fun place to come for good food and some drinks for a casual night or day. My family comes here every year when we rent a pontoon boat in Margate. We head on over and are always hungry after a few hours on the water. You can pull right up and dock at the restaurant, and you have the choice to sit inside or outside. Staff is always friendly, and you never feel rushed. Any of the sandwiches or appetizers are delicious. That is usually when we tend to stick to when coming here. Food is flavorful, portions a decent size, and they are not crazy expensive. They also have giant jenga, and other fun games you can play inside. This is great when my nephew is with us.
