Hash browns, eggs, and bacon

Went on a day trip to St Joe and we always like to try a local place. For some reason this place was voted "Best of". We will not be going back. Bacon was burnt, pancakes were underdone causing them to be mushy and gross! Coffee had been sitting in the burner for hours. Pretty obvious by the burnt taste. Waitress was very friendly and place was well light and clean.

Solid brunch and lunch spot in St. Joe's! The menu has so many different items to choose from. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. I ordered the patty melt which was good I think next time I would go for the monster burrito! It looked delicious. I'm sure the grass is always greener on the other side anyways. I also ordered the caramel coffee drink bc the picture made it look amazing. It was good but very sweet so just a heads up!

The food was excellent, be ready for LARGE portions. Was that a homemade English muffin in my turkey Florentine eggs Benedict-sure tasted like one. Quick, friendly service, from initially being greeted, seated and served. Larger than expected but well lit, clean and decor was historical prints. Trynaty was my server and did an awesome job of staying nearby to check in with me. Appears to be a KS, OK, MO franchise but definitely gives the hometown feels.

Cinnamon roll pancakes

This should get even more than five stars. We tried this placed based on Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. The portions are huge and delicious. The bacon was the star, but then again...its bacon. My son got the cinnamon roll pancakes and they filled the plate. I had French toast and loved it. Even better, the server was excellent. I totally recommend this spot. Only disappointment was we waited until our last day to try it.

Bring your appetite and taste buds to the Big B !! This regional chain (very small chain) is worth the stop! The Big B brings Big portions without sacrificing flavor !! Along with great food the staff is friendly and fast !!

Bacon Burger with side salad. I didn't eat the bun.

In my opinion, it's the best breakfast place in town. I can't get enough of their food. Especially the pancakes

Compared to other Big Biscuits such as Independence MO; St. Joseph only gives about half the servings as others I have been to.

I never should have listened to those who are not fans. My husband got 4 twisteds--2 chicken and one of each of the other flavors. They were all so good. And the fresh fried chips were delicious too. I got the fried swai. My husband is not a fan of fish but he kept stealing bites off my plate, it was that good. The batter was light and crisp. And the portion was huge. I LOVED the honey mustard coleslaw. I'm a slaw snob, and I have high standards. I look forward to eating the slaw again. The garlic Parmesan broccoli was good too. We will be back.

All their food is named after musicians. I had the Hank Williams hamburger, with spicy bacon jam, Cheddar cheese, and a couple of fried onion. The burger was delicious, the bacon jam not overly spicy for me but worked well. Great burger. Came with seasoned fries, also quite good. They brew some of their own beer, which both my friends and I thought they still had a little ways to go to perfect that. I had their Irish Stout which wasn't bad. A little more bitter than Guinness but ok. Definitely great food for a bar, and their craft beer will get there soon. Parking is around back.

Well let me start off with the fact they are over an hour away from our home. Considering they have ruined us on any and all other burger and fries, it might become a habit. Husband had the Blackberry Bacon and Blue Cheese Burger. I do not on the norm like blackberries, but on this!!!! The blackberries sweetness stands against the strong overpowering blue cheese and they meld well to make a wonderful tasting combo. I ordered There Goes My Gryo.....how did they get a freaking lamb burger, a very lean meat be that juicy!?!? I dont know but with the peppers, tomato and onion made a fresh hamburger, might be good with some kalamata olive....but I am not complaining. It was delicious. I am picky on my fries and usually dont eat the full amount restaurants serve. I had to stop myself. They are more like a shoestring but not hard or crunchy. Seasoned wonderfully! My suggestion you go in there with a big appetite, grab lots of napkins and be ready to devour the best burger you've ever had!

The pistachio cranberry bread was inspirational--a couple of people said they were going to try to make it. The melted chocolate truffle was amazing, as always. Luckily, that is where the JC Wyatt House comes in. Not only is the food top rate, but the entire experience is amazing. At the JC Wyatt House, you have dinner in an intimate, small dining room inside a Victorian Mansion. Here is how it works. They are only open on Thursday and Friday, 1130am to 1230pm, for lunch and Wednesday thru Saturday, 530pm to 7pm for dinner. Reservations are required and you will choose your main entree for all of your party when you make your reservation. We went for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. We arrived a few minutes before our 6pm reservation and were seated. At exactly 6pm, our server, Chris, started with our choice of hors d'oeuvres. Either a potato and fresh vegetable soup, or shrimp cocktail. My wife had the shrimp, and I had the soup. Both were outstanding. For dinner, I had the lamb, and my wife had the filet mignon. Both came with potatoes, carrots and a roll. Again, both meals were outstanding. We finished with a dessert trio that was amazing. Besides the fantastic meal, the service was first class, and the ambiance was really special. This is a must visit for an amazing meal. Call today and get your reservations.
