The food was below average. Hash browns were dry as a bone. Omelet was tasteless. They skimped on the cheese and it also was dried out. Asked for sour dough toast and got white instead. Food was very flavorful and presented nicely. The atmosphere is very loud & not great for a private conversation. Service was pretty fast but order when they come by, don't ask for more time as you get forgotten and end up waiting longer. On that note, after ordering - the food arrived fast and super hot! Eggs Benedict were tasty - big chunk of ham and perfectly poached eggs. Hollandaise was so good, just not enough of it. The biscuits are really good (have to be!) They have potatoes 3 ways and no alternative sides - like fruit. So bring on a keto diet is limiting. read more

Breakfast was just OK. I had the chicken fried chicken breakfast, and the chicken was very good. Gravy didn't seem made from scratch and the hash browns were a gummy mass versus crispy shreds as I prefer. Biscuit as the name implies was big, but dry and crumbly. Wife had the French toast breakfast which she thought was fine just nothing spectacular. Was a little disappointed with meal that cost me over $45. I don't mind spending the money with a really good meal or experience but not so much for a lackluster one. read more

The food was really good! Service was also very good! I was surprised at how quickly we received our food as busy as the restaurant was. The only thing that I would like to see differently is the spacing between the tables. They are entirely too close to the other diners. One other thing is the chairs. Whoever chose those chairs for inside dining must not have taken people with hips into consideration. The way that the chairs are designed, a person cannot sit back comfortably and enjoy a meal without having the bars of the chair back dig into hips and thighs. The Bog Biscuit was great. It was nice to be able to enjoy a nice brunch in town rather than driving to Lawrence or KC. Both of my kids ordered biscuits and gravy, large portions. I ordered the brioche French toast. The whipped butter and syrup were perfect. My eggs were cooked perfectly--over medium. We were all full and pleased with our meals and service. My first time there and since my friend and I were there at 9:45 am, did not check online if we needed to get on the wait list. Surprised to find that 40% of tables were empty as they did not have enough servers for that Saturday morning. So we joined the wait list and 45 minutes later were seated. Our waitress was excellent, breakfast food was quickly served and tasted good plus I had lots of coffee. If I go back again I will virtually, from home, get on the wait list. If the restaurant had been adequately staffed I would have given a higher rating. It would be good if coffee was offered to all of us waiting for a table??? read more

We've ordered a couple of times to go and the food was great, but this time we went inside. There were large parties waiting, but they took us right in. Adam the server was excellent.
