My wife and I bought two e-bikes. They were extremely helpful with our purchase and were very patient with all of our questions. They are not open on Wednesday. They service all the bikes that they handle. You can also get many accessories there as well. We bought a helmet and cell phone holder for ours. I am delighted with Bike Zone. Recently I purchased quick links at two other well known local bike shops. On their websites they both advertise the links as being a 2-pack for around $6. The links are manufactured with 2 links in a sealed blister back. When I went to those other shops they both handed me just 1 link in a blister pack they cut in two. When I objected they told me that the quantity on their websites was a mistake and they would correct it soon. (They haven't) Today I ordered the same quick links (2-pair) from the Bike Zone website for around $4. And I was all ready to give them grief when the very nice sales lady handed me the complete blister pack with 2 links inside. Just as advertised. I was speechless. Thank you Bike Zone for being honorable and honest and not having dishonest advertisements. Bate and switch. And thank you for reasonable prices. Stopped into The Bike Zone for a repair on my shifter cable. This was my first time in and right from the jump I could see why they have been in business for so long. Kind, polite, warm, and friendly describes the personality of the business. A young man who works there(sorry I forgot your Name!) with in a matter of minutes asked me a few quick, calculated questions and then simply got to work. I wasn't even worried how much it would cost because at that point I was willing to pay for such quick service! Being a technician/mechanic myself the fact that at such a young age he could diagnose and repair something that quick is amazing. Kudos to you! The repair was affordable in my eyes and I even picked up a new set of handle grips for both my wife and I bikes. They also have an array of uses bikes and new as well. Their price markup on some items are very noticeable but understandable as well. All in all The Bike Zone Has earned my business. read more

Had a great experience at the Bike zone in Greece today. I only needed to have an inner tube replaced. I brought the tire in to make sure that I got the right size. The lady behind the counter was pleasant, looked at it, asked if I would wait, because they could install it there in a few minutes, and promptly did so. Their furbaby, Porter, was a wonderful customer service greeter, too. I couldn't be more pleased. I will be using them for my bike needs from now on. read more

Although they require Face Masks for people entering the store, at least according to their web site, not one employee in the store was wearing a mask, nor keeping proper social distancing. The owner, maskless, was in a conversation with a customer maybe two feet apart. read more

Expensive and lacks customer service. I walked in at 11:15am on 6/25/2020 Nobody acknowledged me in the store. I was interested in purchasing a bike. I walked around the store and nobody offered to help. The store was disorganized because bikes that were available for purchase were mixed with "work orders". I was miffed that store clerks ignored me as I perused the inventory. I guess I will spend my money somewhere else where I could atleast be acknowledged and appreciated. You won't find that here. I have been a Bike Zone customer for years and have bought many children's bikes there. They are very laid back, don't engage in hard-sell tactics and are happy to let you browse. I don't interpret that as lack of service because once you signal you are a serious buyer, they spend time with you and answer all your questions. They have kindly serviced all our bikes, even making minor repairs for free or very low cost. They don't carry a huge stock but they are very knowledgeable and stand behind what they sell. I brought in the damaged front wheel off my Specialized 29er to see if they had something comparable that I could buy as a replacement. Dave was extremely helpful in helping me pick out something that wasn't just the cheapest option or the most expensive - but the BEST option for what I needed. He even swapped my brake disc, tube & tire over to my new wheel so it was ready to go right when I picked it up - free of charge! I would definitely recommend Bike Zone to anyone looking to shop for a new ride, or for parts/service. They even had a dog in the shop! Who doesn't love a place that has a dog??? read more

I bought a trek bike here in May 2006. Unfortunately I was travelling much of that summer and didn't get much of a chance to ride my bike. I did have my bike for 30 days, and while riding to work one day, my crank arm came off of my pedal. I brought it in and fixed. Great warranty service, although nothing special. This year, in June, I was on the local bike trail and my crank arm comes off again. I tightened it up a bit and then brought my bike to the shop the next day. Although my bike wasn't under warranty anymore, the guys at the Bike Zone went out of their way to fix my $$$ bike. They looked high and low for parts and when they couldn't find the OEM part for my bike, put in a better gear, and cranks. This probably cost shimano $100. My bike now rides amazing!! The store was dead and had 3 employees working, not one person acknowledged our presence we walked around for about 20 minutes and eventually just left. My bike got a flat tire last summer. I took it to these guys to fix. They ended up replacing the tire, tube, and installing the new one. They did this for a very reasonable price and it was an easy transaction. I would definitely recommend them for repairs! Furthermore, I heard them talking to other people there about repairs, and they seemed very knowledgeable and were well-equipped to handle a variety of situations and parts. I was also looking at their bikes and products they were selling. They don't have anything "casual". The bikes are expensive, but well-made, I assume. They'll also allow you to test drive down the road, which is nice. Their selection wasn't right for me, but I will plan to return to them if I need a part, tool, or repairs. read more

Thank you Bike Zone... We travel every summer in our RV with our 3 bicycles, a Tandem, and 2 road bikes. We are always looking for rides to do in whatever area we end up in. One of our stops this last year was near Rochester, NY. Not knowing the area we called around to local bike shops, out of three shops called only The Bike Zone was helpful in getting us a great route to ride. They have a good selection of items, both road and trail with prices comparable to other shops online and in town. The employee, Lisa, was very helpful and fun to deal with. Because of her personality and dog I probably spent 75% more than I would have without them. So, KUDO's to you Lisa! It's nice to have women in the bike shops, I would like to see more in the repair areas around town! (You won't find her online on the staff page nor can you have a business card with her name on it like the other employee.) The reason I gave them 3 stars the is the attitude of the owner, Dennis. He tried to guilt me into buying something from him because he is local. I told him I just spent $200 just in his shop so I don't feel bad. He said it more than once as I was walking out the door, no "thanks" for what I did buy, just how bad I was for not making another purchase. I do go out of my way to buy local and I am loyal to many stores that aren't convenient, but I love the staff or the products or both if lucky. By the time I got to the car, I remembered him and why I never went there, he is one of those owners that thinks guilt and pushiness is a proper sales tactic. He didn't try and sell me anything, no nonsense, just gave me exactly what I needed. You'd better believe my wife and I will be back for any future bike needs. I actually just made an account on Yelp solely to write this review. My name is Matheus Oliveira (Instagram is @mattyofit) - now I'm all about love and respect. I came into the shop with these people multiple times. I always politely asked them that my time is valuable and to please just have my bike patched up since this store was 30 minutes away from my house. I had a local bike shop but the derailleur I needed could only be grabbed at this location. I got 2 new shifters on each side of my bike, a tune up, brand new brakes, and bike rack from them (I spent over $600 in their store and tipped between $50-$100 on top of it) Back in April. A few weeks later one of the shifters went bad and I had to go to my local shop to get that fixed. The local shop in Brockport said I should have asked for a refund, which I did not at the time. Anyhow, it's the end of May now (6 weeks after the service was done) and my brake is completely busted as well. When I politely asked Dave (the owner) for a refund (and note, very polite), Dave had cursed me out and blamed everything on me for destroying everything. Hard to see how I could have personally destroyed my brakes when I use Zwift for all my training and barely even touch my brakes or the shifter he messed up too... I'm moved into Florida now and he knew that as well that I was moving when I left his shop. I value my time and have never written a review over any store ever in my life. If you have a chance to follow me on Instagram, you'll understand that I have way better things to do than be on Yelp and talk down about another business. A simple "I'm sorry Matt, but I can't issue that refund" would've been more than a fine answer as I was extremely polite when I had requested a refund. From a businessman myself who only cares to do amazing business with my clients, these people were absolutely horrible and thought it was okay to treat me like a waste of a human simply because I'll never see them again. Had a problem with the bottom crank on my Columbia hybrid and at first they tried to help me DO but when the threads were stripped and the spindle was cross threaded they took it right away and fixed it better than new for a ridiculous low price!
