He sells the red and white Fairport sweatshirts that everyone in town has, but he also sells new-old-stock clothing, shoes and accessories. He's a salesman from another time, he will often compare his prices to Sibley's, McCurdy's and B. Forman Co. Any Rochesterian would know that those department stores have long since closed... Not Mr. Barranco, those stores are still the major players in the Rochester area and he's doing a service to you by offering his items at such low prices... (which they are). I'm amazed at how he has managed to stay in business for so long. I'd go on about all the great treasures you can find here, but you're just going to have to see it for yourself; it's a total time capsule. For many years, he didn't have a card machine. Since he was cash only, I remember trying to explain to Mr. Barranco that I had to run to the ATM. He was confused and said "the bank isn't open on Saturdays." He was concerned that I was not going to be able to withdraw the money from my account. On a recent visit, I was surprised to hear that his older register broke down and somebody sent him into the 21st century. He now accepts cards, but it takes him awhile to figure out all the space age technology before him. I love this place, he seems to have an endless source of great vintage clothing and his prices can't be beat! Every visit I make to Fairport is accompanied by a requisite visit to Barranco's.

Having swimmers over the years, this used to be a reputable business, however, given the current situation and attitude towards the customers, I would say you are better off using an online service. I was able to find some weight plates and a few kettlebells to add to the new home gym area since gyms are closed. I picked up at the store and the nearby warehouse after paying over the phone. Hours are limited as well. It did look like they had plenty of cardio equipment my but still call if you are looking. Service was friendly over the phone and during pick up.

And I must say this is a very well organized store with both men's and women's clothing, and some for kids. Everything is neat and folded nicely. Some prices are high, but they do have specials. I would day jeans are definitely their specialty but they did have T-shirts and coats. It's worth a stop.

The famous Rochester Flower has popped up on their shirts that hang from the walls on the insides of the store, along with a few other designs and logos. They carry mens tanks, tees, and hoodies. They also have women's fit tees, and a few off the shoulder long sleeved shirts as well. Most of their apparel (tees) are $25 a pop, but they have a current deal where you can buy two tees for $40 (a ten dolla discount!). The owners of the store seem fun and quirky. I hope this place does well.
