BEWARE of already included service charge and 3.5% credit card fee
    Mitasha P.

Definitely one of the worst pool halls I ever been to. Everything is overpriced from their food & drinks to pool rate. They had a 2 for 1 vodka offer that they have on a board by the entrance, but the bartender said that offer was no longer available. We had to insist since they lazily left the board up so she said she would offer it to us. It is $10 per person per hour. Now most pool halls reduce the rate as the number of players increase per table, but not this location. In addition, one of my group members had left and notified the bar, yet they still charged us for his time til the rest of us had checked out. The service charge is already including in the bill AND they charge you a 3.5% fee if you pay by credit card. Horrible place and service. Unbelievable hidden fees. Bathroom is disgusting!! Broken soap dispenser and no toilet paper. Couches are dirty with stains. The list is endless. An establishment like this should be avoided.

The billiard's company on Saturday april 20th Approximately 9:00 pm me & my Lovely Female date decided to go to the Billiards company on Queen's boulevard. A place where I always frequent and always felt very comfortable for over the last 10 years. As we approach the top of the steps to enter the establishment the security guard Stop me my date & about 9 other Customers and ask for a 20 dollar per person Entry fee. They paid it me as a regular customer I know Better and knew, there was no such Enter fee. I asked the security guard to let me speak to the bartender maid or manager to see if this was a legitimate charge he Forcefully refused me entering & my request to clarify this charge. So future customers if you feel like getting ripped off knowing you have to pay table rental Plus drinks And a bogus 20 dollar per person entry fee To me it's just not worthy a night of fun.

I came here twice with 2 separate group of friends and we definitely enjoyed ourselves. We had fun playing pool. We went on a Thursday and it was not as packed, which was expected. The staff was great. The bartender made sure that our drinks were on point and the hookah was on point as well. I was not a fan of the food, but both experiences were great and we had fun. I would love to go back again.

Came here with my girls to end the night out. It was a calm vibe inside & bigger than what i pictured. The drink menu is pretty extensive and had a lot of options. The food menu wasn't too bad. I had ordered a pink lemonade and the seafood platter. The drink wasn't bad but legit waited a hour & half for the food and when it was finally brought out it was cold AF. Ain't nothing worst then cold seafood. They also had hookah & its $35 cash. The flavors are blue mist, mango & mint. We got blue mist & that was a mistake. That hookah was good for 5 mins and then it became harsh and burnt flavor. We had to wait 30 mins to get it changed and once it was changed...the same issue came back. The vibe of the place is why it gets 3 stars from me.

Calm vibe for a little competitive date night so we have this place a try. Drinks and food are decent for a pool hall. Very spacious so you don't feel like your on top of anyone the whole night has a lounge vibe also would visit again.

Is it a lounge or is it a billiard? I have no idea. There's a bouncer who greets you at the door. A bouncer just to get into a pool hall? You have to be kidding me. The concept of this place has the potential to be greater than it actually is. Forest Hills is not the city & I refuse to pay city prices for a mediocre billiard. The drinks are outrageously expensive and contain house liquor. If you're going to charge $16 for a 4 oz drink make sure you're pouring up the good stuff! The ambiance is all off. I'm not sure if they were going for sexy & chic but they missed it by a long shot. How am I suppose to play pool when I can barely see? How am I suppose to make sure my order is correct if I cannot see my food? With all of that being said if they got rid of the bouncer, turned up the lights, & came down on their prices this place would be amazing.

Nice place to go with friends or even on a date. A little hole in the wall stop but safe and cozy. Very Spacious. You can play pool, ping pong or sit at the bar or your table and enjoy some hookah. Hookah was decent.

    "Receipt" Covid 19 charge

So this place is located on the second floor above some retail stores. As you walk up the stairs you can see a menu on the wall advertising drink specials for each day of the week. I went on a Sunday and Sundays special was supposed to be sex on a beach, advertised at 2 for 1 and beer buckets 5 for $25. I was with my date and I was charged $9 per person, per hour. On my way to my table I notice how unkept this place was. The furniture was old and dirty, there were stains on the seats. The pool tables weren't much better, they were also old, dirty and stained. I asked the server about the special pricing advertised on the wall and she informed me that those specials were available "pre covid" and they would not honor the price. So I asked to speak to a manager and there wasn't one present so she referred me to the bartender. The bartender also would not honor the advertised pricing. This place has the nerve to charge extra due to covid 19. It even says on my receipt "covid 19 surcharge". Mind you they didn't follow any CDC guidelines. No hand sanitizer, no temperature check, employees didn't sanitize between customers, people weren't required to wear a mask will moving around the establishment. The best part was that the beer was really cold and the hookah was pretty good. Definitely will not return.

Nothing salty, mushy or lacking flavor. Hookah is $40, cash only and $25 for a refill. The hookah was smooth and long lasting. We really had a great time here. I was curious if this place was a restaurant, a bar, or a lounge. I would say this place is definitely a lounge. The vibe was great, very chill and unpretentious. The drinks were on point and the food was delicious! Their menu is more finger foods and decent bites if you plan to drink. I would like to see 1 or 2 more food menu items added but everything we had was very very good. We had the sampler and it was perfect for us. The DJ was everything! The music was so good. Old school early 2000's hip hop and r&b. But I hear on any given night, the music goes to the vibe of the crowd. The service was fantastic. We had everything we needed and the wait staff was attentive. I will absolutely be coming back here! They have great happy hour during the weekdays and a brunch I want to check out. 10/10 so far.

Yesterday we stopped in for some food and drink and we saw that they were setting up tables for an event. It looked beautiful. We were told that they were closed due to the event so the wife went to use the restroom before we left. While waiting, I started talking to a very friendly guy named Joe about the Knicks. Funny enough, he turned out to be the owner. When the wife came out, I asked if we could just have one drink at the bar since we came all the way out there, and Joe told the bartender "Let these two sit and order some drinks". We sat, drank, and talked to the owner about business and life in general and it was one of the most pleasant times we've had at a bar in years. We are fans of Cityview (and Joe) for life.

Walking around the event there were a number of plates that looked like they were not finished. We jumped over to the bar right beside and drank some girly drinks before getting the notification our table was ready. As with nearly every establishment in NYC, it is very close quarters in paradise lost. We stood at a table while waiting for seats at the bar to become available. Which, we didn't mind. I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations.
