Not good. Definitely not near worth $125 person. Good: - Porchetta - Gelato OK: - Lamb and Roast Beef- both were ice cold, the sauces were also cold and gelatinous, they obviously used a thickener like corn starch, NO FLAVOR. Not that it matters because the people carving couldn't speak English and didn't know what the sauces were. Meh: -French toast- OK. Cold. Maple syrup is CORN SYRUP, NOT MAPLE SYRUP -Bread pudding- flavorless creme anglaise though. COLD. BAD: -Oysters- dry and room temperature. No signs on sauces -Shrimp- boiled to death- so rubbery they were inedible -mini "lobster"- over cooked, odd texture, no flavor -Pasta- lean cuisine is better -"Paella"- mushy, flavorless, gross. -Miso Salmon- FISHY. NOT OK TO EAT. -Sushi- better at whole foods -Eggs benedict- nicely poached eggs. COLD. Flavorless gelatin "hollandaise", soggy English muffin. Crusty old Canadian bacon -Bacon- tough, flavorless, cold -Breakfast Potatoes- COLD, DRY, Flavorless, wrinkled and shriveled up from sitting under some heat element -Hummus- Flavorless, obviously not made in house. There was no butter or edible rolls, just soft sticks and soft doughy balls. Cheese selection was cubed cheddar etc (think cheap platter from Albertsons for a work event) SERVICE: Waiter was automatically tipped $50 (there were 2 of us). His ONLY job was to bring water, juice and a mimosa or Bellini. - HAD TO GET UP THREE TIMES AND ASK SOMEONE ELSE FOR WATER. THREE TIMES!!!!! -Other people cleared the plates. So he got $50 for pouring 2 glasses of water, one OJ and one mimosa (she asked for a Bellini). This is not only NOT worth the money, it was just a BAD BRUNCH. NOT ONE THING WAS WARM, let alone hot. The Biltmore Brunch is iconic, however on Christmas Day it's even more grand. The decor, service and quality of food is exceptional. The buffet offers a plethora of seafood, salads, meats, pastas, caviar just to name a few. I usually do not like buffets because they usually focus on quantity over quality, however Biltmore focuses on quality. Everything I tried was exceptional. I have been pushing and proding my son that he has to "DO" the Biltmore Brunch! I said it was the best brunch in the City. So, to kick-off my 80th Birthday celebration, my "Mr. Boo" (yes, I date at 79), made reservations for 5 of us, another couple and my son. We sat outside on the terrace right in front of the window with ALL the seafood one could possibly think of eating. The waitstaff was interesting is my best description: "hi, can you bring me a few limes, several..." he said I don't want to bring too many in case you don't use them.... we are sitting there staring at an abundance of seafood in a window; seriously? you don't want to bring too many??? Okay. I thought I would really enjoy the oysters, they were "thrown" on top of each other so that every oyster I had, had chips of shell; it was so very annoying... Moving right along. The waiter never explained the lay of the land of the food; we did NOT know the breakfast "stuff" was on the otherside of the courtyard and we need to do a little exercise and take stroll. Strolling is good, you need to move around and stir it up. We did not know where the breakfast was until we were pretty much ready to wrap it up. Yes, you can say, we should have asked... WHY, do I have to ask? I was enjoying the seafood, just needed an egg/sausage and was too busy talking. Let's get to to the chase; I am disappointed. I told my son The Setai could NOT touch The Biltmore. Boy was I wrong... The shrimp were overcooked, the lobster was chewy... The juice for the ceviche (I believe Tiger's Milk) was killa - that ceviche must have been sitting in that juice for hours; I would chew it up, drink the juice and "politely" remove the ceviche; how about downright tough! Loved the caviar bar, enjoyed mutltiple glasses of champagne. They did bring a dessert to sing Happy Birthday; then my son has to go look for the waiter so we could pay and go... OH LORD, forgot!!! breakfast had the cookies, my friend came back and is eating her cookie and a giant azz hair - she has short hair, i have less than short; the guys have barely hair to no hair. I caught the eye of the hostess and discreetly told her she has hair in her oatmeal cookie. She said she would take care of it. I am looking and waiting... nobody came. Then she said she notified the manager and he would be over. If he came over, you did... that was when it's time to go. No manager every showed up. No apology and the waiter could not get his act nor our check together. Extremely disappointing experience for what should have been a stellar brunch as I celebrate 80... back to the Setai and a few other places... "The Biltmore Brunch had many highlights with the food and service being the stars. The service was top-notch--attentive, professional, and added personalization to the entire experience. Our server was one of the best I've had in awhile. . The food was impressive, with a standout raw bar offering fresh oysters, shrimp, lobster, crab and ceviche with an accompaniment of sauces and remoulade. The bottomless mimosas were a great pairing--they weren't stingy with the champagne and kept your glass full. Bellini's and sparkling wine were additional bottomless options if mimosas aren't your thing The sushi was some of the best I've had in while. The lamb and Nonna's meatballs were great as well. You must check out the caviar station! They were willing to add it directly to the scrambled eggs for me. The dessert assortment was another highlight--an incredible variety of beautifully crafted sweets, from cakes and trifles to truffles, that provided the perfect ending to the meal. However, the layout of the brunch could use some improvement. With food stations spread across multiple areas, it felt a bit disjointed, and centralizing everything in one space would enhance the overall flow. The Biltmore has been hosting this legendary brunch for years. This was my 2nd time here and it's still worth every penny. It's $120 but the seafood section alone will make up for the cost. If you've been to the hotel, you know there's free parking. So that's one perk compared to paying for parking or valet in Miami Beach or most areas now in Miami charges for street parking. There are plenty of places to sit indoors and outdoors, and they will gladly accommodate big groups. The food selection is amazing. They have a carving station, caviar station, sushi station, salad section, made-to-order omelets and pasta, fruits, charcuterie, paella station, and tons of desserts, but the seafood section is the best part. OMG! Unlimited huge king crabs and lobster tails plus oysters, jumbo peel-and-eat shrimp, ceviche shooters, and smoked fish. And of course, bottomless mimosas are included. They don't put too much OJ and it's nice and cold which we prefer. Love this place and I highly recommend checking it out. It's pricey but worth it. I thought this brunch was going to be something really special. Unfortunately it was just overpriced and just Ok. The food on one side is breakfast items and desserts. The desserts were pretty. The other side has hot foods and a small seafood bar. I stuck mostly with the seafood, but would have rather have gone to a restaurant and had something really special. The oysters had no flavor. The lobsters and crab were teeny and only cold options. The shrimp and caviar were probably the best part but not worth the price of the full buffet. They also had to keep restocking and holding the line up for guests. Everything else about the brunch from the meats to paella to pasta did not look that great. For the price of the meal, I would have much rather had a fabulous seafood lunch than a mediocre all you can eat experience. I would say pass on The Brunch and take yourself out to a great restaurant in the city. read more

The Biltmore afternoon tea is very lovely. There's it's in the lobby of the beautiful hotel historic and beautiful. There's a harpist playing nice music. We had a waiter who sang Italian type opera. The presentation of all the food was beautiful and delicious. The sandwiches included a traditional cucumber sandwich. roast beef, salmon, and a curried egg salad. They have a parking lot there that is free and they also have valet parking. OMG! Where do I begin? One of my friends treated myself and another friend for our birthdays. From beginning to end, most everything was excellent. Free parking was a huge plus. The brunch is held downstairs from the hotel entrance. We were seated in the room with the breakfast and dessert items. Not many people came to have the breakfast items. Ummm.... and omelet or a lobster tail... NOT a difficult decision. All the other rooms were across an open courtyard. The other rooms had seafood and hot items ranging from carved meats to sushi to pasta. In the seafood area, they had a caviar cart. I am embarrassed. I had 14 little points with caviar. I also had two lobster tails. And a crab leg. And I just had to have lamb with mint jelly. I am surprised I could climb the stairs to leave! Sadly, the dessert area was in plain view. It was too tempting! I had to sample the bread pudding and the peach & blueberry crisp. I had a single creme brulee. One of the friends had the quatro leches and a mousse and then went for the truffles. I couldn't! I was already in a food coma. We enjoyed bottomless mimosas, never having to wait for another to appear. The waitstaff was super attentive. They brought us small birthday sweet cakes. Been here many times at the wonderful Biltmore Hotel a legend. We had very good service from our brunch servers at the table and at the stations. The food is good quality. I would like o cone every week its so good. Fresh and plenty of food. Good quality seafood paella and meats . Love the breakfast and eggs Benedict. Caviar and all the fixings and good variety of foods pasta salads you name it and drinks champagne mimosas everywhere. Really love this so good as always. Well, this brunch was a huge disappointment. For $120 per person we expected more, a lot more... I don't like giving 1-star ratings but I really had to here... Where do I begin? 1. The setup - this place is a maze. It is also potentially dangerous - more detail on that danger in number 2 below. The maze...they have three different seating areas. We were in the covered room by the check in area. It was faaaaaaaar away from the "other room" that had 90% of the food. To get there was a journey and an obstacle course. We had to walk through a crowded courtyard of outdoor diners. You had ti go around twists and corners, up and down steps. You also also had to walk in front of the solo violinist. It felt rude to do this, but it was the only way through the maze. It was a great physical workout but not what we were looking for... 2. Danger - the maze was dangerous. The cobblestone area you have to walk through is horrible for heels. You also had to step up and down many times with a plate full of food. Oh and wait, you also had to open the doors while balancing that plate of food. For $120, it would be nice if they invested in automatic doors or assigned a staff member to open the doors for the guests to reduce the risk of an accident. The staff also kept telling people to watch their step because the floorboard at the base of the door was very high and you could easily trip over it...with your plate.... I would not recommend this place to anyone but this is especially not for older folks who may have mobility or vision challenges. 3. Food - summary = not good and not enough. For $120 you would expect way more food. We have gone to other brunches for the same or less price and they had a broader variety and a lot of food. Also, half of the food was covered with pot covers so you had to wait for a staff member to come over and open the pot so you could see what was inside. This also means you couldn't serve yourself. And that meant that they give you smallest portion sizes ever. Enough said. 4. Wait staff - this was a disaster too. Initially a waiter came up to us saying he along with FOUR other staff members would be tending to our table of two people. At first we thought, "wow, we will get so much attention". We were wrong! One of the team members would come up and take a drink request, we'd see them 20 minuets later and they were surprised to know their colleague didn't already bring the drinks. Another example...They cleared our plates and removed the silverware after our first course. A new set of silverware never appeared. We requested, it never arrived. So, I had to grab a set from an empty table nearby. Enough said... 5. Price. I'm not complaining about the cost because obviously we knew that going in. I just don't believe this experience was worth $120. The only positive thing was that they offer free parking (albeit quite a distance away). Oh another positive thing is that we did not witness anyone getting lost in the maze or tripping and falling. We will not return. Like, NEVER. The end. read more

We have been wanting to try this brunch at La Fontana and finally decided to give it a try and bring the kids as well. If I had to describe it in one word... "Disappointing " would be it. When you arrive at the Hotel I always like the vibe of old Spanish buildings and you see all the marble and gorgeous columns and wood work and can't help but feel transported back in time. So... it was with great expectations that we come here and the actual dining room area was very empty... only a few tables were occupied. Outdoor dining area had a bit more people since it was a nice day. Once seated, our waiter recommended the full buffet ($90.00) which had unlimited mimosas or bloody mary, wine and all the buffet area plus to main dishes and dessert. Yeap... that sounds good we said. Well, the buffet had some salmon and cream cheese area, some fruit and cheese as well as a few ham options. (The stations were dirty and very disorganized). Also had like an area for eggs and waffles but not really great choices. Main dishes we tried them all... braised short rib was okay but the polenta was BAD. The pork ossobucco was better and it came with black beans Brazilian style and they were Ok. Lobster fettuccine brings a small lobster tail and kids liked it. I thought it lacked a little flavor. The Corvina was good. I think we have been to much better brunches over the years and can say that this is actually one of the most disappointing experiences. Perfect Miami brunch! The Biltmore has beautiful architecture and decor and is a gorgeous ambiance for brunch. We sat in the shaded courtyard with a gorgeous large fountain and lots of birds chirping. The service was perfection. There was always someone around bringing more Bellinis or clearing plates and the staff serving food were so helpful every step of our hours long brunch. The food selection blew me away. I can't eat carbs and was so impressed and grateful with how many options there were for me. Crab legs, lobster tails, mussels, cheese board, ceviche, fish dip, eggs, lamb! Came here for Sunday brunch. Total for 2, about $312 which included 20% gratuity, hotel tax, retail tax, and $120 per person brunch - all you can eat and drink (prosecco, mimosa, bellini, fruit drinks, etc). Kinda steep, but good experience for my first time. First off, ambiance is very nice. The Biltmore Hotel is very beautiful with designs reminescent of Spanish and Italian architectural influences. There is outside and inside seating. I sat inside to avoid the humidity, but otherwise, would have sat outside. Reservations are highly recommended. They do require a credit card to put the reservation on hold, but don't charge your card until the end of the meal, at least, that was my experience. The nice part is that there's a large parking lot where you can self park without having to valet. There were a few delicious items I'd come again for: sirloin steak, lobster tail, crab legs, caviar, juices (like pineapple), and crispy pork belly. There was a nice breakfast section, but I went straight to the special, main sections which included seafood, charcuterie, pasta, paella, carribean, sushi, and salad. The dessert section was ok, but a lot of the classics were lacking that special something. For example, panna cotta was too watery (more like yogurt), creme brule did not have the crispy sugar top, and key lime pie was not tart at all. My favorite was the ice cream section and assorted macarons. I do want to try the bread pudding next time. Overall, I'd come here for unlimited drinks, the social atmosphere, and some bites. However, if it were strictly food, I'd probably go elsewhere because I like my drinks to be a bit more complex and food more memorable. read more

Always enjoy the food here. We love coming here mostly for special occasions. It's in such a beautiful setting with unlimited everything. The price is reasonable considering everything that's included. Reservations are a must and easy to make. We always opt for the terrace seating as we enjoy the musician and open air. They do provide fans as well should you need some extra cooling off. Start off with an unlimited mimosa or some fresh brewed coffee and get prepared for some food bliss. Start off with any omelette of your choice with fresh waffles and all the swine you want. Go make your own charcuterie platter with all the cheeses and meats they offer, have somenstuffed grapenleaves and hummus. Donyou like caviar, well have all choices and enjoy it with creme fraiche. In the mood for seafood, well have a lobster tail or 2 or 4 or 8 and don't forget thw shrimp cocktail, oysters, mussels, and a variety of ceviches. Easily one of my favorite brunches in Miami. The food selection is vast, it tastes great, and the location is beautiful. I always try to come for my birthday and it never disappoints. There's a flat fee per person but it includes everything in the buffet and even drinks (Bellinis, Mimosas, Bloody Marys, select beer and wine). Each time I've gone the food selections have been slightly different, this past time featured a paella, sushi, crab legs, caviar, the usual breakfast fixings, churros, bread pudding, pasta station, and so much more. There's truly something there for everyone. You'll easy eat your money in food - it's so worth it. Brunch was DELICIOUS! My boyfriend and I went on Sunday and had a total blast. It was stunning and the food was so yummy I couldn't contain myself. I felt sick leaving because I ate so much! And for an expensive brunch, that is what I look for. :) We especially loved the Bloody Mary bar and the sushi. It tasted so fresh - unlike other otherwise lovely buffet style brunches I've been to. Born and raised in Miami 74 years ago, and this was the very first time at the Biltmore Brunch. My wife and I were celebrating our 41st wedding Anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate it. We have been to quite a few brunches in Miami throughout our years together and this was by far the best ever. To start off our server Raul was extremely attentive and very polite and explained the whole brunch process to us. Our glasses of mimosa were never empty and when we came back with a fresh plate of food there were clean napkins and utensils ready to dig into our next course. The selection of food was stupendous. There is absolutely something for everyone from salad to seafood, sushi, cheese bar, lobster, paella, jerk chicken and on and on and on! The desserts was a dream come true for the sweet tooth. We were so impressed that we called over the manager Ruth and told her how wonderful everything was, from the service to the food, and for sure we will definitely be back again.
