Nice cozy place with a great view and friendly staff... Came here for brunch a few days ago... this place is at the edge of a park and has great views... Brunch menu had lots of choices. Went with an Omelette with Tomato, Onion and Spinach.. it came with home fries, a piece of watermelon and blackberry preserve / multigrain bread The bread was delicious and omelette tasted good. Tried the Bailey's Irish Coffee which was served with a coating of sugar around the rim of the glass... The staff was very polite, kind and friendly... At the suggestion of a friend, I decide to give this place a try while venturing out of Vancouver. A restaurant in a log cabin, really? Yes, it's true and totally charming. We sat inside but had the opportunity to take a peak of the Fraser River on the patio. We had no reservations but were seated immediately. The food was delicious and our waiter was beyond excellent. We order the specials: Salt Springs Island mussels, local vegetable tower, BBQ pork and cod. Unfortunately, we had to skip the dessert as we were so full. Bless our waiter for reconfirming as our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! Very reasonable prices and the portions were adequate. Would definitely good back. read more

Mmm! A cafe turned into a restaurant! I love that the restaurant is built in a log cabin. It is very different from what I am used to, which makes things so exciting!! The Blackberry Kitchen is a quiet and medium-sized log cabin restaurant. They serve delicious Western good with great service. They are very careful serving food and constantly sanitizing trays and countertops. I got the Mushroom Rissotto. There were enough diced mushrooms on my plate and it was flavourful. I wanted to order more food, but I had to go save some space in my stomach for another meeting later in the day. We also ordered some French Toast, which I thought tasted no different than other French Toasts. Customer service is great. They are quiet and friendly. I recommend visiting Blackberry when it's sunny. read more

I really like this place. My review is based off the lunch menu, I have not been for dinner. My mother lives in Mission so when I go out to visit her, every so often we go here for lunch. The lunch menu offers build your own sandwiches, or order one of theirs. They also have soups, salads and burgers. Generous portions & a side always included. Nice selection of craft and import beer. On my recent visit a few days ago my mother ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo. She asked for extra parmesan. Surprisingly large portion! She took home leftovers for dinner. I had the chicken burger from the Fresh Sheet. It was a buttermilk fried chicken burger. So tasty, juicy and crispy. Unbelievably good. I would order it again. it was served with a kosher dill pickle spear and a little coleslaw, it was perfect! I got soup on the side (included), or you could get fries or Caesar salad. Please add it to the regular lunch menu... Service is good. I live in Vancouver so I get used to quicker service, but I have to remind myself, smaller town & a slower pace (my Mum always reminds me too). The views are pretty ridiculously Amazing. Have a wonderful brunch menu as well as dinner entrees. Situated overlooking the Fraser, on the same site as heritage park- so if it's nice out try and enjoy their stunning patio. Indoors is log cabin rustic feel and servers are nicer dressed than in chain restaurants. Beef carpaccio is to die for. It's a bit pricey but I would definitely work this into a mother/father day tradition etc as it's special enough to feel like a resort/getaway while you dine. read more

We've been disappointed the last 2 times we've gone to Blackberry Kitchen. Both times we have gone for dinner with friends. The dinner menu has changed. The prawn appetizer is done with a piri piri sauce and comes with pea shoots. It used to have a garlic chipotle sauce with tomato on a bed of spinach. This was much nicer. My husband used to really like the duck. It was a half duck and the skin was nice and crispy. It was excellent. They have replaced this excellent dish with duck breast. The last couple of times that we've gone I've ordered a steak and they've been overcooked on both occasions. When we were there on the weekend with our friends we waited 1/2 an hour for our desserts. The setting is beautiful, service is decent but the food is not as good as we've had previously. It may be awhile before we return as we find it hard to justify the price for the quality of the food. It is a beautiful setting but we've found the food to be disappointing on our last 2 visits. read more

My family stopped here just before wedding reception and their cheese spinach dip was so delish! It looked like sun dried tomato mixed and very flavorful. We went here to enjoy a nice romantic brunch and were not disappointed. We were promptly seated and the staff was very sweet and accommodating. They offered us a table for two overlooking the Fraser River. The views here are very nice as they are overlooking heritage park and the river below. We had the shrimp croissant sandwich and spicy chorizo flatbread. They have many different options for gluten free and vegetarian. The food was nice with lovely sauce. I would go here again. This place is wonderful! We stumbled upon it last night as we were driving back into the city. Not only does it have a beautiful setting and delicious food, but the view from the large comfy patio was breathtaking! The best part of it all was how happy they were to accommodate us with our dog, I'm happy to say if I was to compile a list of the top dog patios in the lower mainland, this would be number one! The owner and the server were also so lovely, again serving us great food and drinks (the blackberry mojito was to die for), but also for not making us feel bad for bringing in our pup. They have the best Steak Carpaccio I have ever had. If you can have brunch on the deck on a sunny day the view is amazing and the cuisine is first class. No basic bitches shrieking in proximity to my hung over ears. we bought a gc for this place to welcome my brother and his wife to mission when they bought a home here. So, it's the hollandaise sauce that has me hooked on this place. You can tell the cook knows what they're doing, obviously made from scratch. I LOATHE fake hollandaise. We tried this place for diinner on a friend's suggestion. It was amazing!! I would like to go back In Summer when there are tables outside because it is on a hill with a beautiful view. All three of our dinners were fantastic. The duck breast was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. My husband had the lamb and it was tender and deLicious. The Blackberry Kitchen is a rustic looking log home that with an incredible setting in Heritage Park and on a clear day you won't find a more enjoyable location. Kerry and Laurel are caring restaurateurs that treat their guests so well and know many of them by name. The menu is creative and you will always find something that captures your interest. Adding to that is the incredible quality of the food, much of it locally sourced, and the excellent presentation. We enjoy going during breakfast or mid-day, as the view is amazing, but have also had many fantastic dinners there as well. The interior is rustic, cozy and relaxed. My wife and I were traveling in the Vancouver area and came out to Mission for a day. We were looking for a brunch option that wasn't a greasy spoon. Well, we found a great place. The 3.5 Star rating is not accurate. I would also suggest a reservation. We had the create-your-own omelettes which were excellent. The potato's served with them were also very good.
