We stopped by here for lunch over the weekend. We were seated right away and placed our order once our server made it to our table. Food arrived at a reasonable time. I really enjoyed my Monty Mushroom burger. It was a nicely made burger with a decent amount of sliced mushroom paired with tomato, lettuce and a slice of cheese as toppings. I also ordered a western plate to add a Caesar salad and some onion rings to my order. I ended up sharing the sides with my husband as it was a lot of food. The restaurant was busy. Our server never came back to refill water cups when my glass cup was empty. She unfortunately made a mistake splitting the bill as I was dining with another family so she had to go redo the billing. Nice comfort food across the street from the Colossus movie complex. Parking is available in the lot surrounding the building. However it gets pretty full. Had to circle around a few times before someone finally left. The venue is pretty similar to the other locations out there. There's a bar area in the middle, and a large seating area on either side. Staff were friendly. The burger I had tasted good, as did the coleslaw. Some at my table were complaining that the fries weren't salted enough, but I found them to be just right. Good food and good selection of classic favourites. Burgers are all beef patties and a good choice to pick if you can't decide. Fries a must and a side of the mayo for dipping. There is pasta, fish and chips, pot pie and a good dessert menu. If in season the blueberry pie is excellent. The one thing they are missing and should bring back is the chicken pickins which is the best battered chicken when it was around. Basically the fish and chip batter on chicken breasts and drums. I don't know what to say about White Spot, other than to say it's White Spot. For those unfamiliar with the chain, it has some tolerable burgers, bottomless fries, and a few tasty entrees. It's a little unreasonably priced, but nothing you'd really fuss over. You'll get your bill, huff slightly and roll your eyes, and not think about it any further. I've had casual business lunches here, family dinners, and even Skip the Dishes from here. Very multifunctional. The service is fine, but nothing outstanding. Treated my husband and son to dinner at White Spot after an afternoon of shopping at the mall. Waited about 20 minutes for a table which was to be expected given the time. Once seated we started off with Zoo sticks and prawns, both of which were just warm, not hot. We then ordered burgers for ourselves and a pirate pack for my son. While the food was good, the service was lacking. We never received drink refills, our meal was not checked up on and we had to ask for some cutlery. We could tell our server was overwhelmed and very busy however a little follow up at some point during our meal would have went a long way. read more

5pm on Sunday and the place was quite busy. Our server, Sherri, was very lovely, and the food came up quickly. Order: Macaroni and cheese fritters with sriracha ketchup Crab and shrimp ravioli in tomato seafood sauce Double double burger with fries Sea salt and caramel ice cream The fritters were really good. The ketchup wasn't at all spicy so don't hesitate to order them. White Spot's burgers are "legendary" for a reason. I'm rarely disappointed by them, and the double double didn't fail. The pasta is on their current specials menu. It was good, not great. The chargrilled garlic bread was tasty. The ice cream was yummy - can't go wrong! We loved the flavour combination. Overall, a very spacious, clean, and friendly location. I won't hesitate to visit again. read more

So... I probably go to White Spot in Edmonton once or twice a year. The food is always decent, but there's nothing but issues when it comes to cleanliness and service. I had no idea how different the same chain could be in another province! I should have known though... my bf is from BC and he says White Spot out there is always great. But honestly... everything even tasted better. My mom got a burger and decided to try their gluten free bun. I cringed a little because I expected her to be unhappy with the choice. I was impressed whent he waitress asked if it was an allergy or a preference (recognizing that the allergy is very serious and needs to be handled differently). Holy crap... when her burger came, I was blown away. I tried a bit and the gluten free bun was soft and really delicious. I ordered one of my favourite things... the beef dip. I was actually disappointed. The meat was juicy but the au jus was really really bland. If you're going to have a lacklustre au jus, you should consider putting an aioli or something on the sandwhich. The service was really fantastic. We had gone first to another restaurant across the parking lot, and they had a 40 minute wait. So I decided to check out White Spot. They were busy too, but were quoting a wait time of about 20 minutes (it didn't end up taking that long). the hostess was incredibly friendly. A very fun place to eat. The staff is young and friendly and always chipper. We bring our kids, because it is a safe bet for the volume of big families. When we eat here we enjoy everything. I arrived at 7:30pm on Wednesday evening. The restaurant was packed so I had to wait 10min to get a booth. My friend told me that Happy Hour starts at 8pm here. While waiting for the Happy Hour, we ordered Tuscan Chicken Pasta and Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl and Pinot Gris and Corona. I loved Teriyaki and Pasta was not bad at all. After the Happy Hour began, we orders appies such as Shrimp Gyoza, Zoo Sticks, Goat Cheese Flatbread and Salt&Pepper Crispy Ribs which were $6 each. I liked Ribs the most but other appies were average. The one I loved the most was Nat Bailey Pale Ale spot size (20oz) for $5. Great taste for great value. I definitely visit more often for this. We called in our take out order and asked for the Farro Power Salad with a salmon add. I picked up, left a decent tip and got home to find that they had totally messed up my order. My husband and daughter got what they'd ordered but mine was completely messed up. I was supposed to have a salad with nuts, feta cheese, mixed veggies including broccoli and avacado. I got corn, some type of bean, a few spinach pieces and essentially nothing that I eat. The piece of salmon was in a bed of what I think was brown rice (again not something I eat). I called and told them and was told I could drive back up (15 min) to get the proper meal or they could send me a coupon by mail. I was exhausted so not bout to drive back and ended up having to make dinner and not be able to eat at the same time as my family. I tried to use the piece of salmon and just cook veggies but the salmon was hard, dry and burnt. I know White spot can do better - at the very least they could have asked for photos and refunded my credit card. This was a total waste of money and time and ruined a relaxing family evening. read more

On the occasions that we order takeout from this place they usually forget an item or two, and if that happens once in a while it's not a big deal, but because it happens all the time nowadays it's quite annoying. Do NOT go on a Friday or Saturday evening if you can avoid it, because there is never any parking. Their lot is tiny and we've pretty stopped going here completely. read more

The manager Ashley is GREAT!!!! Today at the Langley Sportsplex was the drive by shooting, my daughter in law and my 3 year old grandson were in the Sportsplex while the shooting occurred, I was going to help out by looking after the 4 month old. Shooting happens, no skating lesson and now all people that were parked in the Sportsplex parking lot cannot leave with their vehicles. And of course as time marches on our poor little 4 month old wants to eat, we are now looking for a bench - impossible to find! We end up in the parking lot of the White Spot, sitting on the curb to try and feed the 4 month old, manager Ashley comes out and invites us to sit at one of his patio tables, gives the 3 year old some crayons and kiddie menu to color on, we decide to order pancakes and coffee and of course ASHLEY would not take our money!!!!!! This really speaks to the person Ashley is and really was so very heart warming for us!!!! He probably has no idea what his generosity did for us today!!!! read more

My family of 5 come here quite a bit averaging out to 1-2 times per month. The last 6 months or so the quality and taste of the food has been going downhill. We came last night and my 3 kids got pirate packs which they didnt finish. My husband didnt enjoy his meal at all. Mine was ok. I think we will be avoiding white spot for awhile. read more

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. One of our orders was sent out incorrectly. Instead of the kitchen preparing a new order, the server tried to remove the items from the plate and sent back out a mangled sandwich with remnants of the undesired garnishes still attached. I have never worked in a restaurant, but I know that's not acceptable practice. After this, my friend asked to speak to the manager regarding this issue. We were called rude and the manager said "We did our best". After this we asked if we could pay for the drinks we had already made it through and that we would like to leave. My boyfriend and I went out for dinner to the white spot Langley Walnut Grove location and had a terrible experience. The food was great, but the service was awful. I have never been treated so bad. The server's name was Steve an older man. He is also the service leader at that location. We ordered our drinks and appy the same time and our appy came out before the drinks. Once our food arrived Steve never came back to do a quality check, he never once asked how everything tasted or if we needed any water. Our drinks sat empty on the table for about ten minutes. We watched him serve his other two tables, but never even glanced up at us to make eye contact. I've been in the service industry for over nine years and have never seen such terrible service. White spot is such a great company and to have someone like Steve represent the place, is a mistake. We spoke to the manager and she apologized and comped our meal, which was so nice of her because the food was great. Steve brought the bill For our drinks to the table and avoided eye contact and threw the bill at my boyfriend and walked off. We asked the manager if she saw him do that and at first she didn't agree then apologized and took care of the rest of the bill. I am pretty amazed this guy still has a job. The manager kept apologizing and telling us how busy he was. We fully understand he was busy, a simple eye contact or even a nod to us would've been great but to be ignored the whole hour we were there was unacceptable. read more

We were here recently for dinner after a movie. This restaurant is very busy so expect a wait. Surprisingly enough the decor seems more upscale than other Whitespots. If you do not want a burger the majority of the dishes are chicken. We were disappointed that there seemed to be lack of understanding on how to prepare chicken breast so that it is not dry. I've always had good food reasonably quickly with super friendly staff. The food is always well delivered with the occasional slip up in over cooking or sloppy presentation.
