House made Blueberry Scone light as air and the Chikki salad

What a delightful gem we found hidden in Pueblo, Co. on our way through after a mountain bike ride. The food is fresh and delicious. My BLT tasted as yummy as if Mom had made it with love on a summer afternoon. Both the sun dappled patio surrounded by flowers and the interior are comfortable to eat in. Get the Scones!!! I usually hate scones... these were out of this world.

Tucked in a residential center, this third place coffee shop is definitely worth the stop. Nice change of pace from the commercialized shops like Starbucks. Very modern chic decor and upbeat vibe with a few tables inside and an outside patio as well. They have a small breakfast and lunch menu, pastry window, and the usual coffee/latte favorites. I ordered a breve hot latte, a gluten free chewy chocolate and walnut bar, and the BLT toast. The latte was smooth and delicious as a breve should be. The chocolate bar was heavenly. One of the best gluten free treats I have had. The BLT toast was also good and the bacon had a wonderful flavor. This place is definitely worth a try if you are local and a definite stop when I am in town. Highly recommend and so happy to see a family owned business with quality food options and delicious drinks.

I was in town on business and was looking for a quick bite. Vibes are immaculate. Just the kind of low energy and cozy you would want early in the morning. Service was very nice. They accommodated non-dairy request for my drink. My piece of toast was just crusty enough and just soft enough for a perfect loaded toast. I couldn't say anything better about this place. It was exactly what I was looking for and I highly recommend.

I did not expect Pueblo to have something like this and I loved them from the moment we parked our car and walked towards Blackbox. An upcycled gas station store (restrooms are outside keeping in theme with a gas station), the black and white decor with wooden tables screams chic, fun and young! Inside, their shelves of teas, spices, peanut butter among other things attracts you immediately. Their menu is limited but interesting. I got the Herb Pesto turkey sandwich while my friend got the salami and olive sandwich. She also got a Jones soda and I got the Italian tea soda. Both sandwiches were delicious, but I liked mine more than hers (a little too olive-y for me). The pesto sauce was delicious. The baguette was hard though. That's primarily why I'm not giving them 5 stars. Took quite a bit to bite into the bread. We got a chocolate croissant as desert and it was very nice. I'm a fan of plain or savory croissants so I only had the plain croissant portion. The Jones soda was surprisingly delicious! Not sure why more places don't have it - just as tasty as the regular branded Coke or Pepsi and you can email them a picture to put on their cans :) The Italian tea soda deserves a whole paragraphs of itself - carbonated water, cream, cardemom, tea and syrup with lots of ice. Yum!! I'm an Indian tea person and I usually hate pretty much any other tea but I took a chance and it was so so good! The perfect drink to have when you need an iced caffeine drink! All in all, great experience. Will be back to try the pies.

The coffee here is AMAZING! The staff is so nice and the ambiance is very chic. I found this place yesterday when I was driving through Pueblo and got a dirty chai latte with oat milk. I was really impressed with the quality of the drink and how delicious the chai was. It wasn't spicy or vanilla but somewhere in between both. The coffee shop is so cute and there is also a pastry truck outside so you can pair your beverage with a delicious treat.

Beautiful ambience & an even more generous staff! We visited from Austin, TX & Blackbox felt so welcoming & down to earth! The staff is super kind and willing to educate you about styles of coffee, if you ask! Lots of cool local honey, soaps & unique drinks you can take camping! Service was quick and tasty! We had the potato pie with Sriracha Sauce (get the sauce fosho!) & brekkie sandwich! Def delicious! Check this place out, it won't disappoint. You may even make a new friend or two!

we're so lucky to have several third wave coffee shops in Pueblo, and this one is my favorite. it's a modern industrial vibe with nice furnishings and creative decor. the patio's huge and heated. they use organic milk, and beans from Novo and Intelligentsia... solid choices. all their coffee syrups are organic. the lavender is particularly enticing. they have a large breakfast and lunch menu. homemade soups, sandwiches, breads, salads. also delicious pastries, cookies, and pie. please consider supporting family owned independent coffee shops rather than the big chains. everything's better here than you-know-where.

We weren't off to a great start when it took quite a while be be seated and there were many open tables. Once we sat down it still took a cool minute for anyone to come to the table. So for me to give five super stars say how good the food has to be to make up for the slow service. Chips and salsa are a telling sign on how good the food is and they more than passed the test with light chips and salsa so good I wanted to chug a gallon of it! Oh my gosh friends. I was blown away by how good the food was. I had the combo #7. Pork and guacamole, chicken and cream cheese enchilada, a fried flour shelled chicken taco, with rice and beans. I went for the mild medium green chili option and it had quite a kick! Next time, I'll stick to mild. Still, it didn't take away from how awesome it was. The taco was seriously the best taco I've ever had in my life! No kidding! I don't know how I'm going to be able to finish this review because I'm getting so hungry writing it. For dessert, I had a sopapilla. Sopapillas are one thing only a few restaurants can get just right. They should be light, airy, and puffy. These were kind of a combo of fry bread and puffy. Kinda' heavy and not too puffy, but the flavor was fantastic. They're on the pricy side at about $4.25 for one. It's good-sized, so you could spit it but you won't want to because it's so good! I believe it's a family-owned and operated restaurant, so that's super cool. Too bad I live in LA. If I lived in Pueblo I would be there all the time. Bookmark this place if you're ever passing through Pueblo. It's right of I-25 so you can have one of the best meals of your life and continue on your happy journey!

Pros: Walking in the hostess was helping another couple but did acknowledge us. She went to sit the couple and another staff apologized and said that she will be right with us. We were sat outside and immediately were given water. Our waiter, who I can't remember his name, talked to us and took our drink order. My husband ordered a beer and me an iced tea. He gave us a few minutes before coming back to take our order. We started with the green chili fries and when they came out they were very good. I do wish there was a little bit of spice to it, but not a con. I even ordered a cup of green chili with my shrimp tacos. And my husband ordered the slopper. I loved the shrimp tacos, that I got the lettuce instead of a tortilla. I would highly order and recommend. Husband loved the slipper. He said if you don't see the fries or bun, assume your eating it all. Our waiter is very knowledgeable and was quick with his recommendations. He answered a burger question when asked and took his time with us. We did not feel rushed. My husband also ordered a beer flight and found some he enjoyed. All the staff worked together and matched our personality. Well, my husband's personality. We ended up ordering 3 cups if green chili with their chips. The salsa had a nice kick, mild kick, because they added green chilis to it. It tasted home made. When we had a minor issue with the bill, our waiter took charge and without hesitation took to fix it. We of course had to order dessert. Our waiter came back within minutes to inform some of the desserts were sold out but offered a replacement. I got the peach pie and my husband got the chocolate cake. The peach pie was a perfect mini size Cons: My husband was surprised the manager wasn't walking around ensuring everything ran smoothly. I honestly don't see it as a con. Also, the parking lot is small and when it gets busy I can see walking from another block over. There are 3 spots for the hotel and 4 spots that are a 2 hour limit. Recommended? Absolutely yes. Great food and excellent staff. Everyone here is friendly and seems excited to help the customers. We will definitely be back. I don't think there was anything wrong with the cook of the food, but the seasonings were just way off base to me. The Corned Beef was slathered with a Mustard Crème sauce that should have been served on the side. Some may like it, others will hate it. I didn't care for it. Cabbage seemed to be braised in a heavy Cayenne Pepper broth. It was inedible. The Champs were so bland that you had to shake the hell put of the Salt and Pepper. The Corned Beef without the Mustard sauce was actually pretty good, but so much was slathered with the mustard sauce that it just isn't worth ordering. Bottom line, here is how it breaks down: Service: 5/5. The bartender tonight was exceptional! Food: 3/5 at best due to the second entree ordered (fish & chips) being REALLY GOOD. Overall: 4-5*. The Fish & Chips saved this entire meal. There are a number of things to order from the menu at the bar. Obviously I would stay away from the CB, but I would definitely recommend the fish and chips!
