Would like to start with I applied for a Grant, Florida Florida safe Homes The way it works is you have to buy the windows outright or loan before you can get a grant That can be a little nerve-racking because you never know if you're gonna get the Grant or not I found them in the web One of the things I liked was was they had good sales in windows and they work with all grants‼ I called in and I believe I talked to Rachel? Not 100% sure but from that point on Rachel was our point person Everything pretty much went through Rachel from that point on They sent a sales person that same night I was shocked because they are frim Boca Raton and I live in Kissimmee, but now in hindsight, I guess they have sales reps all over the state The sales man Phil I love him like I love Rachel Phil's knowledge of the product was off the chart. I really dislike it when I know more about the product than The sales person with Phil this was not true He had samples and they were so beautiful and in my house they are We ended up going with them and I will use them again in the future For my rental house Saving to pay cash for that lol From that point on Phil and Rachel kept in touch Let me know the status I don't remember that exact timeframe but I do remember Rachel telling me it would be ready before the start of the year Told me wife" yeah right during the holidays" Sue enough they were ready to do it December 27 I asked for 3 more weeks because family and holidays I was ready for them to say we need so it now but they didn't Installation day I was ready for a S... show but no Victor and his crew showed up at the beginning of the time frame As happy as we were with Phil and Rachel even more happy with Victor and his crew I can't put in words how good it was He told us what to except His workmen ship was in credible If anyone has gotten new windows it s a really big job They were 98% done installing the windows in in one day The whole next day was for the details The compliments, we are getting from people are so nice My wife said she feels like we got a new house I'm so so happy with my widows The sliding door is so heavy Feels like a very high quality Material The next step is just as important Working with the grant I was definitely a nervous Willie Rachel and her coworker Sorry don't remember her name :( Did all the paper work correctly It took a few months to get the grant but NOT because of statewide Rachel took all my phone calls about the grant sent me EVERYTHING I needed to get the grant It just takes time for the grant paperwork to go through inspections That being said if there was no grant I would still get the windows through them The peace of mind of Florida weather The Electric bill is so much lower They are a great company So now I'll say what we are not happy with 3 screens never showed up and 2 windows need some Caulking, yes I could do the caulking myself, but I don't think I should have to plus maybe it's A special caulking? Our Installation was January 21st Today is May31at As good as Rachel was with keeping us informed and helping with the grant i can't say a bad word about her Since the help with he grant it's been radio silence Maybe she don't work there anymore but no one is answering me about it So why the 5 stars I know so many people that had home improvement and would of been thrilled to have our Experience I just don't get why they couldn't at least send them through the mail ? The total install time was less than 2 days, and everyone was friendly, efficient, and professional. To begin with, Heath will be your consultant, measure and give you estimates, talk about color options, etc.. We went with dark bronze, which is a very rich dark brown (almost black). Heath is so great at answering questions and getting back to you promptly. He made the process very pleasant and stress free. Once the decision is made, the measurements will be double-checked by another person, and doors/windows will be ordered. They will work with HOAs and will do all the permitting and inspection scheduling. On the day of the inspection, you will have someone come early,make sure all is good, and then once the approval is done, finish all the details like capping screws etc Johnny and his son John were absolutely fantastic, so friendly, extremely thorough, and went through everything twice and more Any concern was addressed, and they literally took all the time needed to make sure everything was perfect. i contracted with sts impact windows and doors to install hurricane impact windows and doors in my…read morehouse in boca raton. the salesperson was friendly appeared capable and made several visits to measure with more experienced fellow workers. we spent a great deal of time together but i realized after the job that the company failed to communicate any of the potential issues or additional costs and they never took the time to visit the job site during the installation. the entire experience became a total disaster! on the day of the installation, i learned the installation crew were not employees but an outside contractor. after the first windows were removed, i questioned the method of removing them as the damage to the walls around the windows during the replacement was extensive. the sub-contractor told me his crew would do the repairs but at additional cost. as i was fortunate to have a contractor working at the house, i told the sts representative that i was not interested in his offer. *the cost of repairing the windows came to more than 25% of the total job cost.* no representative of sts visited the work site during the installation and no one mentioned we should expect the extensive damage that we experienced. after the installation speaking with sts employees, they told me the salesperson and the sub-contractor had been fired. we were told that the windows were custom made for our space. after the installation we learned that all of our window shutters were now useless since the new windows were a different size. sts failed to mention this and as we were getting custom windows, we did not consider new shutters would be needed. being industry professionals and claiming to pride themselves in excellence and their values, one would expect sts would inform their customer that the shutters would be rendered useless and the customer should expect to replace them. *we did replace the shutters and this added almost 30% more to the job.* so much more of this disaster to share. bushes were trampled and broken all around the house. a desk was taken apart without our knowing and damaged, new carpeting was not protected and was stained. finishing pieces for the doors were not available during the installation and took six weeks after the installation to install. sts has taken no responsibility for the lack of communication, shoddy workmanship, damages to our property and terrible service. *stay away from this unprofessional company as they have zero interest in customer service and don't appear to have any experience window experts on their staff.*
