I wanted to get a blowout done for a wedding I was attending and wanted somewhere that wasn't too far from me. I consider myself to be a beginner when it comes to styling my own hair and cannot always rely on myself, so I wanted a professional to style it for this special occasion. I heard of the Blo Out Lounge through word of mouth and the photos on their instagram was enough to draw me into booking an appointment. I made an appointment with Tina and she did a fantastic job with my hair. She really took her time, and her expertise with blowouts made me feel confident and beautiful when she was done. She was also very friendly and we had a nice conversation while she did my hair and I highly recommend you book an appointment with her. The entire staff was very professional and friendly and since it was my first time, they took me on a tour of the salon which made me feel very welcomed. The vibe of the whole salon is very luxurious yet comfortable, and their new addition of their soon to be juice bar will really make this place even more high quality. I made an appointment for a blowout with Kelly and was beyond pleased. She was so sweet and made my hair look perfect. She asked me about which products I was comfortable with and listened to exactly how I wanted my hair styled. I ended up coming in the next day to have my makeup done as well. Tinisee was wonderful! I was absolutely thrilled with my experience at Blo Out Lounge. Had a 7PM appointment with Katerina for a Ouidad Curly Hair Cut. It was my first time getting this kind of cut, so I was a little nervous, but excited. I have to say that Katerina is a true artist with curly hair. She and Angel, another of the curly hair specialists who was working with her on my cut, were an absolute dream. They walked me through each step of the washing and styling process, taught me about my specific curl pattern, even made sure that I applied some of the product so that I could get a feel for how to style it at home. The result was really incredible, and my curls look better than they have in years! I left the salon with a card detailing all of the products and the order in which to use them, a voucher for a complimentary follow-up treatment and rake-shake styling (the method Kat used during my appointment), and a cut that I'm truly in love with. I even slept on my curls before writing this review, and with a little touch-up this morning (some tonic spray and a little arranging), they look just as good as they did right after the cut. For anyone with curly hair, you know that's a miracle! I would recommend this salon as a whole, and particularly Katerina and Angel to anyone. read more

Unfortunately I hate I have to leave this review. Overall, I've had nothing but great experiences prior to this last time. I had to reschedule my appointment and called to do so. Unfortunately the stylist I see did not have an openings for a similar time until mid September, I was looking to push back the appointment to mid August. I informed the woman on the phone unfortunately that is too far out and I guess I'll just have to cancel and go elsewhere. She just agreed cheerfully and hung up. I was a bit shocked by the lack of support and customer service. I would have expected alternate proposed solutions such as seeing a different stylist or at the very least an offer to be added to the waiting list for any upcoming potential cancellations. I am not arrogant enough to request or expect them to speak to the stylist I normally see and respect that I was the one needing to reschedule, but the lack of customer service and consideration to customers retention has now given me the impression these are not important to the business. It is quite unfortunate as I have enjoyed going there and found all other services and persons lovely. Additional training on phone support and best practices would go a long way to retain future client base and protect the livelihood of your stylists. read more

Made the switch from an overpriced salon in Princeton where service was sub par and have been blown away from day one. I am SO glad my usual salon (that I go to about once a year and wasn't super thrilled with anyway) couldn't fit me in and the salons I called after couldn't either, because I wouldn't have found this super cool place! I wanted to have a haircut and bayalage highlights done before the weekend and they were able to squeeze me in, the front desk receptionist was very nice. Amanda was my Artisan and she was also very nice and receptive to what I was asking her. All I had to do was pull up a few pictures of what I wanted and she went to work. The results are great!! I am so happy! I have never put any color in my hair before so I was a little apprehensive, but she made sure to not go too crazy or drastic and left soft, natural looking highlights. This salon also offers free coffees and teas (unique to the season), snacks, water...the decor is warm yet modern, I just loved my experience there. I had such an amazing experience with Dianna! I have had some very bad experiences with other salons in the area doing typical jersey hair or cutting my hair way shorter than I asked. The staff here completely puts me at ease and I will definitely be coming back! As soon as I came in I was greeted, checked in and given a hot drink, win already as it was 20 degrees out! Lol! Just had my haircut here. As soon as you walk into this place you are welcomed by chic furniture and decor. Gabby was my stylist today, she listened to what i wanted and got it spot on. Usually when i go to the hair salon something is wrong, but today i didnt have any complaints. Once you get seated after the hair wash a girl comes over to get your drink order (complimentary). They have almond milk which is always a plus for me! Gabby told me if i wasnt happy with my bang length i could come back to get it fixed, but so far it's good! This place is just the best! When I first went, I assumed it was just a blow out bar, but it's so much more than that. My first experience, I went for a blow out. I had Rosie, and she did a fantastic job. Next time I went was to correct too-blonde highlights that I had gotten somewhere else 3 days before my wedding! Rosie also did this, and I was so happy that she was able to fix my hair that I really almost cried! Since I now know that they're a full-service salon, I'll definitely go back for additional color work and cuts. This place really makes you feel like you're getting pampered. They really make you feel special as soon as you get in. They have beverages like specialty tea and coffee, and you get a nice hand massage while you're getting your blow out. I came to this salon based upon the fact that they had good reviews and the fact they did not natural colors. The one place I usually go to for my hair care sadly does not do them so I was on the hunt for some purple. I called and scheduled a consultation appointment, to which resulted in me booking my appointment a month in advance. A little offputting but ok. Fast forward a month later, I have no complaints about the service nor the hair coloring I received. The complimented snacks and drinks put me at ease while they colored my hair. I kept getting compliments over my color from employees and customers alike, even receiving a compliment as soon as I stepped out of the door. The color lasted for two months before I decided to have it cut off (not due to the company's performance, my hair was just getting too long!) The only reason for removing a star was because I am not sure how she colored my hair without bleaching it? I ideally wanted it to continue fading down to the bleached color but she perhaps was thinking I wanted to save my hair. I do appreciate the service but it was not what exactly I asked for. Also portions of my hair were bleached and others weren't. I also felt as if I was being rushed towards the end even though I booked my appointment a month in advance. I called for a last minute appointment and they were able to squeeze me in for a cut and blow dry. Amanda was great. The cut is perfect. She listened to what I wanted and really did a good job. My hair is tricky - it's fine but also super thick and requires a lot of texturizing/thinning otherwise it's unmanageable. And now it looks great. I also liked the complimentary espresso drinks and hand massage! Beautiful salon, great experience. Will be back again soon. And prices are great too. I can't say enough wonderful things about Blo Out! From the moment I walked in, Beth at the front desk was SO sweet and welcoming. It was a Saturday morning - I don't usually get all dolled up to get my hair done. Most "high end" salons will make you feel like a shlep if you don't "look the part." Not here! They treat their clients with respect and make you feel at home right away. You get the luxury without the snobbery! Caterina did my cut - she is nothing short of amazing!! I showed her pictures of what I was looking for and told her my hair issues. She took the time to really listen. Never made me feel rushed. Plus, she's so insanely knowledgeable about her craft. I immediately felt I was in good hands. She was so thorough - I don't think I've ever had such a great cut! She worked with my texture and was able to tell me what would work for me based on my face shape, head contours, etc. Oh, not to mention the complimentary beverages and snacks! I had a delicious hot cider. And the hand massages! They really make you feel like royalty. I was just blown away! The best part - the prices for the calibre of service are outstanding!!
