I really appreciated her knowledge and attention to detail. Chose to return to my doctor to correct forms. I returned today, early morning, as a walk-in. Same great experience checking in. Was taken back quickly and can't truly express how grateful I was for the tech's expertise. She was phenomenal (didn't feel a thing!!) and also knowledgeable in answering my questions about the labs. I'd always used Quest before but consider me a LabCorp customer in the future!

She confirmed TWO HOURS before the appointment (photo attached), I replied that we were all set--and then she pulled a Houdini. Except Houdini usually showed up before he disappeared. No show. Two unanswered texts. Three unanswered calls. And still--not a text, call, apology, smoke signal... nothing. Apparently I unknowingly booked the premium disappearing-act package. I took time off work and had a 3 PM deadline to overnight the bloodwork, so her vanishing act left me scrambling and completely screwed up my afternoon. I understand emergencies happen. Although apparently "I need to get my nails done today" qualifies as an emergency serious enough to ghost a client. And obviously sending a 10-second cancellation text would've been reckless--can't risk smudging the polish. Priorities. Thankfully, I found another mobile phlebotomist who accomplished what apparently requires supernatural abilities: she answered her phone AND showed up--with less than 30 minutes' notice. Apparently reliability isn't a superpower after all--it just requires basic professionalism. And Houdini? Still missing. No apology, no explanation, no acknowledgment whatsoever. Luckily, that's one disappearing act I'm perfectly happy never seeing the encore to. Apparently the "mobile" part of mobile phlebotomy means you'll be the one running all over town trying to find someone who actually shows up. If you're looking for reliability, communication, or basic common courtesy, I'd suggest making all three disappear from your expectations before booking with OC Coastal Mobile Phlebotomy. I ended up using Single Poke, and the difference was almost comical. They answered, communicated, and actually showed up--with less than 30 minutes' notice.There's probably a reason they have 35 five-star reviews. Why would I wish to discuss the matter further, since it won't do any good? Just look at the ratings of this hospital. Look at how many dissatisfied people are posting and receiving a generic reply. How about insisting nurses treat their patients with care, compassion and empathy? How about giving mandatory in-service classes regarding these valuable traits? it would go a long way towards building trust and comfort-particularly for terminal patients and their families. If it had been up to me,he would've been removed from the premises immediately after having requested pain medication for him, and being told he was going to be given Tylenol. It was known that he was in agonizing pain. It was known that his cancer had metastasized. He was agitated and in terrible distress, and it was all traded very cavalierly. What is Tylenol going to do for him besides nothing? 45 minutes later, there was still no sign of the Tylenol. As I stated before, this is unacceptable and absolutely disgusting. To top it all off, his nurse was told twice his catheter had become separated, and bodily fluids were leaking all over his bed. While she twice acknowledged she was aware his catheter was leaking, she made no move to fix it. Whatever happened to common decency and treating others with dignity? For context, my mother, sisters, and myself all worked in hospital settings for years. I have never seen such egregious disregard in a hospital setting. Absolutely outrageous and inexcusable.

I've been under the care of Dr. Buten. I appreciate his efficiency, but also his time to care about my health and goals. I feel like he strikes a great balance with not spending forever at the doctors office, but also gets the job done. I've primarily only visited with him, so can't speak for the PA staff, but think his care is great. He is also very responsive on the portal, which is much easier than calling--love that feature! All of the staff are courteous and nice when I've had to come in. It's somewhat easy to get an appointment within the week or so. Office is clean and organized. Usually don't have to go too often, but glad I've found a place that is comfortable for me to go to!

She took the time to make her feel comfortable and safe, and her expertise and experience working with children truly made all the difference. What could have been another frightening experience turned into a calm and positive one. Evangela is a true professional, and I can't recommend her and Gentle Butterfly highly enough. I'm incredibly thankful for the care she provided to my daughter and for the compassion she showed throughout the entire process. I wish I had found her sooner.
