The fried pickles were surprisingly good too, again not overly battered and the pickle slices are not at all mushy. I am in mourning 10+ hours away thinking of this gelato every day for a week now knowing the perfect combination of those flavors are residing in a pug themed ice cream shop out of my reach. I had tastes of everything, including the gelato. Sorbetto-wise, I was especially impressed with the strawberry, and the passionfruit was a close second. My only nit pick is that the guava was icier than the other three sorbettos, but the flavor was still punchy and refreshing. As for the gelato, it was European quality. Huzzah! I was so mad that I hadn't gone earlier in the day for more of a gelato selection. That taste of coffee really left a good impression. I'm thrilled to report that the folx at Freya's know what they're doing with their gelato and sorbettos. If you're snobby about your gelato, rest assure! You'll be really happy at Freya's.
