Servers are kind and they have a good system in place to make sure everyone gets the order quickly. They have plenty of seating outside and even a hand washing station for sticky fingers. YES YES YES! This was an incredible place! It was packed when we got there on a Saturday night and it was packed even at closing time. We got to see the MOO-mobile drive and "moo"!! I am semi-lactose intolerant and I can't handle a lot of sugar at one time. So I went simple and got a small cup of soft serve twist. It was delicious! And I was able to eat it all. When I get fancy desserts, it always ends up too much sugar in a short timespan that I end up throwing away a lot. So I'm happy I was able to enjoy the dessert and enjoy all of it! My boyfriend got the Pastor Brownie Temptation! He ate all of it - he loved it so much! I did get to have a couple bites and it was indeed very good. All ice cream is good at the end of the day but we found this place to be good not great like others can be. I did have a gripe as I ordered the chocolate chip and m&m ice cream and I am not exaggerating when I say it was a cup of vanilla ice cream with MAYBE 5 m&m's and chocolate "chips" mixed in. First had this place at Travelin Lobster... it was so good we had to come to the original location!! So far, I've had: Blueberry: Probably my favorite. Maine blueberry stuff is no joke. Black Raspberry: Probably my second favorite. It tastes so fruity and fresh. White Peppermint: This one was okay. It grew on me as I ate it. There are probably better alternatives, though Cookie Dough: Cookie dough is my favorite flavor of ice cream, but I thought this one was just okay. Maybe their fruity stuff is just better? Anyways, I'd recommend getting multiple scoops and sharing with friends or family. This place isn't cheap, and you can try more flavors that way. read more

There's quite a few ice cream shops around the bar harbor area (specifically downtown) but I'm so glad that we made the trip here instead. They have a wide variety of flavors but we only got to try the Maine blueberry and holy cow it was amazing! I loved that the ice cream was creamy and had blueberries in every bite. They're decently priced with hefty scoops. We got the regular size but for a quarter more, we could've went for a flight of 4 flavors instead. It was also good to know that they had covid-19 precautionary measures in place with quirky distancing signs placed all around the storefront (remember to stay one cow space away) and lines on the ground to show you where to stand. They offer all scoops in cups at this time but will add a cone on top when requested. I will for sure be making the trip here the next time I'm back in town. read more

A great place and a must-visit that I fear doesn't get the attention it deserves as its not in downtown Bar Harbor. They offer a wide range of unique homemade flavors, as well as many soft serve flavors and some non-dairy options. We ordered six different flavors across four cones and they were all bright, creamy, and flavorful without being overly sugary or too icy. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and I liked that they have staff in the back filling orders so the person at the counter can keep orders flowing. There is plenty of shaded seating on benches, relaxing chairs, and picnic tables, and plenty of off-street parking. There's a restaurant in the same building that we may try some other time. Two other clever perks: One, they had an outdoor sink for hand-washing, and they also offer scheduled "make your own ice cream" events which would be a perfect rainy day activity if we were visiting for longer.
