Service was quick, friendly and efficient. My coffee cup was kept full without being annoying and used dishes were cleared promptly. Food arrived from kitchen quickly and it was nice and hot. But the taste of the food was bland at best. The Irish omelette and fried potatoes had no sign of any seasoning, not even salt or pepper. They were both just flat and bland and adding salt, pepper, ketchup and a big dose of hot sauce could not bring the food to life. The toast was properly buttered but if there was any toasted area on the bread I failed to see it. Also, while their omelets were big and fluffy, that is achieved by adding baking soda or baking powder to force them to puff and it leaves no sense of substance to the egg. My companion had a breakfast of eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy and said the gravy was good but the biscuits were very dense. He also indicated the potatoes were bland. read more

If you have read my previous reviews you know I'm picky about my tea so I'll start there-if you don't care about tea, skip this part. I just landed at Ft. Wayne from Orlando and I was starving; check yelp found The Bluebird. When I ordered my tea I was happy to see my server brought a second water, sadly only 1 tea bag. I requested a second tea bag and she explained that there would be a .50 charge! I have never had this happen. I would not have thought it so out of line if it was at least a premium or quality tea, this is generic dinner tea. Do they lose points for that. Menu is extensive, many good choices for breakfast; omelettes, skillets, pancakes, waffles. I ordered 2 eggs, potatoes, turkey bacon and a limited pumpkin waffle. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was limp , the potatoes I did not care for and did not eat them. The pumpkin waffle was wonderful! I would try this place again. read more

So far so good. Crowded parking lot, always a good sign and many filled tables. Extensive choices with many health conscious options including gluten free which is a big plus. There are few places open every day for breakfast in this area. So, this place has become a staple for morning get-togethers. The menu is big and includes all of your traditional breakfast favorites. My go-to is the garden omelette. It usually comes with a good amount of cheese which I always ask to have half and the are happy to customize. The coffee is generic, but the atmosphere is always welcoming. If you come on a Sunday, be warned of the church crowd. The wait is never longer than 15 min, but it's definitely a tight fit. read more

Good resturant with very fair prices. However we drove from the north side of town just to find that it is the same as all of the rest Greek breakfast places. In fact the menu looks the same. If you are near by it is worth the stop, but Spyros, Cosmos, Friends and the Athenian are just as good if you don't live nearby. read more

This restaurant is in my opinion the best breakfast spot in town. The people who own it are super nice. One time, our food took longer than usual and the owner came out and apologized and gave us 50% our bill. I come here every Sunday with my family after church and we travel an extra 20 mins to get here. The atmosphere is great even when it's super busy. We always get this one waitress Molly and she is always super nice and sweet. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves breakfast food. They take time to provide the small details that make it so much better. For example, they warm their syrup to make it better. Their coffee is amazing. Usually when I drink coffee on an empty stomach, I get a stomach ache, but this coffee is so amazing. I wish they would get more recognition for how amazing they are. GO HERE! read more

Excellent restaurant been a patron for years finally got around to writing a review. I had a table of 6 2 kids 4 adults service was excellent. The kids had the Mickey Mouse pancakes, dressed with whipped cream, Jelly Beans and a Peep for Easter! The food was awesome I always will reccomend for breakfast the countrymans skillet, or the country fried steak and eggs with sunny side up! They do it right. Hash Browns ON POINT, Perfect Egg white to yolk ratio! And the wait staff is second to none when comparing other breakfast joints. This establishment includes everything you love about a family owned restaurant. The decor was a little all over the place but it had a homey feel. The service was fast and drinks were always full! The wide selection on the menu had us contemplating between multiple meals that we had a hard time choosing between because everything just looked THAT good. The portions were enormous and enough to take home for a second meal. While I wish my breakfast was a little more crispy that's just my preference. They close after lunch, 3pm, so the menu emphasizes standard American breakfast food (pancakes, omelettes, etc.) plus basic lunch items and a few twists, such as a terrific Greek salad. Really, the Greek-style "Olympic" salad is what moved my review from 4 to 5 stars. It's big and light and crisp and colorful, with lots of peppers and nice feta and Kalamata olives. Add the grilled chicken and it's a delicious meal. The atmosphere feels very small-town and welcoming. The wait staff are very quick, but they never rush you. And it's a smart choice for families, as kids are welcome and the menu has good senior options. read more

I have eaten here several times and this is definitely one of the better places for breakfast in Ft. Wayne. Good atmosphere and very good customer service with a menu that has a broad selection to choose from. The only thing I would like to see is 'real maple syrup' offered on the menu even if there is an extra charge for it. But a great place to come and eat with friends and family any time of the day. We knew we were in the right spot when the parking lot overflowed to the auto shop across the street and the line ran out the door. That's with an efficiently laid out inside to pack as many eatery clients indoors as much as possible. Extensive menu...we all changed our minds several times before finally deciding. We came here for brunch on a Sunday around noon. It was busy, but we were able to get a table right away. Natalie was our server, and she was absolutely delightful. I can't say enough about how great she was. Very sweet and very helpful. The food was really good - and you get so much of it! I had a veggie omelette with hash browns and pancakes. Huge omelette and it had a really good amount of veggies in it. My husband got two eggs and a Belgian waffle with strawberry sauce. The waffle was fluffy but still crisp.
