Any other beef dish, or chicken dish is not available ( think half the menu ). Had we of known, before the drinks and cornbread, we might have left, as we had driven an hour for brisket and fried chicken. It was extremely disappointing. I went with the chicken and dumplings, as I don't eat fish, or beef, and can't eat pork products. I ordered a side of mashed potatoes and was told the chicken and dumplings came on a bed of mash - nope, apparently it does not. Expecting mash, I ordered carrots... guess what the chicken and dumplings come with carrots! So I got a bunch of carrots, no mash. The others in my party ordered the sloppy joes and both said they were okay, but not what they drove an hour to eat. In my opinion a restaurant, that is closed on Monday, should not be out of half of their menu items on Tuesday. I'd there are delivery issues, they had all day Monday to come up with alternate items, source other foods, etc.. Our waitress rarely came around, never offered refills, or asked how our meals were. At the end, she messed up our tickets so many times, that we finally just paid. I am no longer in a hurry to go to Local Feed and it will not be a place I drive an hour, to eat. To say it has gone downhill, is an understatement. PS - we spent roughly $175 (3 women, with drinks)

This place was great! I came with a group of friends for lunch and we were very pleased with everything the place had to offer! I am giving this place 5 stars because I really think they deserve it. The service was great, food wait time was reasonable, and the food was remarkable. It is 45 minutes away from were we are from and it was definitely worth it! I ordered the somerset wrap and it was honestly fabulous. I am not a fan of wraps but this one definitely changed up the game. There fries were also very good, and actually tasted like fries! I tried their strawberry sweet tea and it was great not too sweet and not to bitter, loved it. The ambience of the restaurant was great and not very loud but not too quiet. I just thought how could they even feel good about serving this stuff. Hash browns were not even consistent. Some were crispy and good while another part of the pile were nearly raw and not cooked through at all. Even the biscuit fell flat because it was flat. Not a fluffy southern biscuit that i had hoped for. Wife's breakfast was similar and she wasn't able to finish it, nor was I which rarely happens. We love going out to breakfast and it's usually one of our favorite meals to eat out but this just didn't cut it. Maybe there was just a new cook that day or maybe he was having an off day but it really didn't check all the boxes for us sorry to say. A couple of high points however was the coffee was really good, and the service was great. We'll give it another try at some point but for now we're going to keep on exploring.

Working was the owner at the grill, his wife on apps and plating, and one young man waiting tables and bussing. We overheard that their second waiter had called in that night--naturally your help calls in on your busiest nights. It is likely for this reason that the lady below left her unsavory review about the wait time. She was probably hungry and they probably had somebody call in, and they went to their show hungry so she took it out on this restaurant's page on Yelp. I'd say that blame falls on her lacking perspective more than this restaurant lacking quality. Some folks from the area may not be accustomed to food like this, and it may not hit them right. But folks who know good food will love this place, as we heard multiple other patrons raving about how good their food was. Ours was no exception. I got the three kabob shawarma platter which was excellent (though the "market price" for it ended up being an astounding $46. The idea must be to share it among two or three folks.) My wife really enjoyed her hummus with chopped up chicken shawarma and roasted almonds, just superb with the pita chips and pita bread served alongside. Y'all, the hummus is special here. The food options in Lancaster are limited. You've got your standard bbq spots, the little pasta place around the corner in the Lancaster square which I've reviewed separately, your token Mexican restaurant, and then your fast food chains. This spot is a real hole in the wall that outshines all of them when it comes to flavor, while putting on no airs. Just be prepared to sit back, wait patiently to be served, and maybe inquire as to what the "market price" is if you (like me) weren't intending to come away spending $75 after tip (having ordered waters to drink).

We heard the lady behind the counter fixing food yelling at the wait staff for the back up of orders. We asked about our appetizer two times when the staff came to check on us. We had been there over half an hour, and once we heard the lady tell them she would fix it but she never did. As we had plans to catch a show at Grand, we finally got up and left after sitting there for about an hour with no food coming out to us. Unfortunately, no matter how good the food might be, with service like this we do not plan to visit again.

They take a dill pickle spear and slice it long-ways before battering the thin strips and frying. I truly thought they accidentally brought me fried string beans or something. The ONLY detectable flavor was the batter and the ranch dip with the faintest, barely existent hint of dill. I might drop in another time but after a nearly $30 bill for the three items and a drink just for myself, there are other places with a better value. Jackson's comes to mind and they know how to make fried pickles much better!
