The Board Room is a fantastic spot for Tuesday night trivia. Plenty of outdoor seating, a large variety of beers on tap, and daily food and drink deals make this location an excellent one for friends to relax after work. The margarita flatbread is cooked to order and has an excellent crust, just be careful not to burn the roof of your mouth like I did. Get there early if you want a real seat for trivia, and study current events!

I went with my boyfriend on a Wednesday night. When we got there at 5pm, it was pretty empty. It was filling in a lot when we left around 6:30pm/7pm. Decent selection of board games. The games were pretty well worn. It was nice that they had food. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't very friendly. I was making conversation while we were at the bar, and then again at our table, and they weren't saying much. I would think that at a game bar, the staff would be fun.

Great place to get together with friends and spend the day or night playing games. Games are almost free, lots to choose from and they even have darts (grab the darts from the bar). There's also a small menu to order food from and a full bar for drinks. Calamari was crispy and pizza was good for bar food but we came here for the games. There's also trivia and other events planned weekly!

Fun place! Huge board game selection, giant scrabble board in the wall, shuffle board, and the whole the space plays bingo when it's offered. Playing Bingo was my favorite, and they call the numbers fast so pay attention and mark 'em quickly. Food is okay, and I'd stick with beer or wine here.

Fun place to check out trivia on Tuesdays! It's always packed and they have a nice, spacious outdoor patio that you can also play trivia from. Trivia starts at 7 PM on Tuesdays and you wrap up a little after nine so it's a nice way to get out of the house in the evening but not stay out too late. They have your typical bar food, but flatbread are actually pretty good, the dough is actually like a pizza dough and crispy. They have specials every day but Tuesday was their margarita pizza special for $15. The vibe isn't overly boardgame focused but the decor goals from all of your classic board games. They have plenty of TVs if you want to watch sports. Tuesday night during trivia, you have to order from the bar, but they bring the food to your table.

Great gaming bar/restaurant, lots of space and surprisingly good food and drinks! The chairs and sofas are quite comfy. We came here with a couple of families and brought our little tots, they enjoyed life-size Jinga and some of the other games. Some of the pieces are missing from the games and glad we brought some of our own games. The kids enjoyed the French Toast and the Watermelon Spritzer Cocktail was refreshing and not too sweet. The bartender was nice and let me sample the slushies. I was eyeing my friend's monstrous breakfast burrito! Good spot for groups and will come back to play more games and try some more food!

This was a fun venue for an alumni holiday party. We had a private room with food and water and ordered our drinks from the bar. We had veggies and dips - ranch, blue cheese, pimento cheese, and hummus - and pita bread, deviled eggs, various flatbreads, and meatballs. I had the blueberry saison which I enjoyed. All in all a fun event!

I've been here twice now and I really enjoy hanging out here! It's a fun spot for watching sports, playing board games, drinking/eating, and just hanging out with a group of friends. Seating is first come first serve. The games are the same way. They have tons of games but it's based on first come first serve. You have order food at the bar. They don't have server that come to the table. Unfortunately, they don't have QR Codes to order to your table either. We ordered nachos, a pretzel, and calamari. The nachos are normally good but this time around it was super burnt! We had to get a new serving of nachos. The pretzel was pretty good and calamari I didn't want but my friends enjoyed it. The drinks were good, not super strong but tasty! We ordered a couple rounds of orange crushes.

Highly recommend the board room for a fun meetup spot or date night. I met a large group for a friend's birthday. They don't take reservations, seating is first come first serve, and it does get busy so come early if you need to snag seats for a crowd. The food is decent, but won't win any awards. I will probably stick to apps next time. The board game library is extensive, but a lot of games are missing pieces. If you don't want to roll the dice on finding a most intact game that you want to play, you can bring your own game.

Ask the Community - The Board Room

Do you have non alcoholic beer?

I haven't seen them on the menu, but I'm sure you can ask your server.

Is it possible to bring dogs out on the patio?

Yes. They even provide water bowls for doggies and sometimes even milk bones!!

Is there a parking lot or would you recommend an Uber?

There is street parking and there is a Colonial Parking Garage under the building. The entrance to the garage is on N. Garfield Street and offers a $4 flat rate after 5 p.m. weekdays and for all hours on the weekends.

For inexpensive, I've had glasses of their $3 Tempranillo. While it wasn't great, I've paid a lot re for much worse. For "not bad", my wife had the $10 Buehler Cab. This place is perfect to meeting with friends or even a date night. The back or the restaurant is dark, but in a good way. They also had live music Saturday night (not sure if this is every night). It was a good volume, until they went back to the restaurant music and then it got LOUD. Not too bad, just was shocked that it was so loud. For food we started with my fave, miso soup. After that we had the Chirashi. It was a nice assortment and a good start to dinner. Next we did the Dragon Roll, a classic and they didn't disappoint. Also when she brought the bill she did not even show the itemized bill at first all she showed was the tip screen which upon doing the math from what we ordered vs paid we realized the amount was way higher than what we got and so we asked for the copy of the receipt only to find out there was ALREADY a service charge on there of which was NOT a credit card charge because we paid in cash and when asked what the cash total was she told us $60.31 yet the copy showed the cash price was $57.91 also they charge for charcoal, what am i suppose to do bring my own charcoal? i've never had to pay extra for charcoal they just include it with hookah price, absolutely ridiculous.
